We then see a shot of Katie Steward holding the Women’s Championship before cutting to a shot of Selena Frost hitting Vixen Cain with the Defying Gravity at Supreme Saturday: Just Desserts.

MAIN SHOW:

The scene cuts to a panning shot of the inside of the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The crowd cheers as spotlights circle the arena. The voice of Jason Phillips is then heard.

Phillips: “Fans, welcome to the SCW End of the Year Special!”

The crowd cheers.

Phillips: “Please welcome your host for the awards portion of the show…Jonathan Knots!”

The crowd cheers as Jonathan Knots walks out from the back. He looks around the arena as the crowd chants “Knots!” over and over. Knots smirks and looks around before extending his arms, walking over to the podium on the stage. He looks around as he then straightens the microphone and looks out at the crowd.

Knots: “Well I guess they didn’t hold everything against me last year!”

Knots looks around.

Knots: “A few reasons for that. I mean I’ve not gone on any unwarranted drunken tirades about my ex-wife lately. I don’t have a drink in my hand because I refuse to be outdone by Adam Allocco tonight!”

The crowd cheers a bit.

Knots: “And well, who the hell knows who is calling the shots? Although, we do know. Look up there. We’re in Toronto. The Six! And unlike the Raptors who can’t be bothered to show up half the time, the Board of Directors are here watching live!”

Knots points to the corporate box.

Knots: “Wave to the people. BEHOLD YOUR AUDIENCE!”

The crowd looks on as Mr. D and Sasha are among the other board members. Katya is noticeably absent. The camera catches that next door to them in the next box is Jenni Anderson watching.

Knots: “But as we go tonight, we’ve got a lot on the docket. I have a bunch of these awards to give out and well, why not get started.”

Knots pulls out an envelope and looks around.

Knots: “Don’t we want to do that?”

The crowd cheers. Knots looks around and nods.

Knots: “So…first up…Tag Team of 2022!”

Knots turns as a model walks over to the stage and places an award on the podium. She shows it off as Knots turns and looks at her.

Knots: “Already more talented than Keenie!”

The crowd ohs as Knots turns to her.

Knots: “Can you count to four?”

The crowd ohs again.

Knots: “What? If she could count that many zeros, she’d probably not be under the watchful eye of the IRS!”

Knots smirks as the crowd ohs. Knots then rips open the envelope. He then resets and looks at the camera.

Knots: “Your tag team of 2022….The Happy Farmstead Friends!”

The crowd roars as jaunty and generic royalty free music begins to play throughout the arena. On the big screen, a unicorn gallops across a beautiful, flowery field, leaving petals exploding into the air underneath its hooves. It gets closer to the camera as it prepares to fly off, but not before evacuating its bowels, which take the form of letters in a bubble font, reading:

Lexy Chapel Presents 

HAPPY FARMSTEAD FRIENDS

We cut to the stage as Lexy Chapel walks out from the back. She then storms over to Knots and grabs the award. She turns to him.

Chapel: “You forgot the most important part…Lexy Chapel Presents…the Happy Farmstead Friends. That’s right…greatness comes from those who stand under my banner!”

The crowd boos a bit as Lexy turns to the crowd.

Chapel: “And to the SCW board of Directors…don’t hide. You know greatness when you see it. These fans do. And this award signifies it. And come tonight, when Hairless Penguin brings the SCW World Championship home to LexyCorp…you’re going to regret this conspiracy against me!”

We cut to the corporate box where Mr. D is talking to another board member. Chapel turns to the crowd.

Chapel: “Just as we know the Frosts have the title only because of that conspiracy. Everything is going to change come 2023. I’m FORTY steps ahead. That’s right. LexyCorp is going to make BIG moves and it starts tonight and continues as-“

The crowd roars as Dancing Bear steps out of the back, flossing but Hairless Penguin walks over to the podium. Chapel turns to him.

Chapel: “Your future World Champion and I’ll be there. Dancing Bear will be there. We’ll make sure-“

Penguin: “Lexy…”

The crowd cheers a bit.

Chapel: “No need to be modest! Tell the world how we’re going to stuff this conspiracy against the golden boy and-“

Penguin: “I hope to win tonight, but Lexy…I want to do it alone.”

The crowd cheers. Chapel looks confused before stopping and nodding.

Chapel: “Yeah! Alone! We’re going to do it!”

Chapel winks.

Penguin: “No. Without Bear…and without you. Me out there alone. I want to see if I really am better than Owen Cruze.”

The crowd cheers. Chapel looks confused.

Penguin: “Please.”

Chapel: “Okay, okay…we’ll talk about it. But tonight, EVERYTHING CHANGES SCW! EVERYTHING!”

Chapel holds up the award and turns, motioning to Penguin. He heads to the back as Dancing Bear continues to floss in the background before heading off after. Knots walks back to the podium.

Knots: “Well…that’s an interesting start to things. What else may happen tonight? Well we’ll find out, but we have another award and that’s the shocking moment of the year!”

The End of the Year Special logo comes up on the screen. A female voice is heard.

“The Shocking Moment of 2022…”

We open up with a shot of Adam Allocco looking at the stage as Shaun Cruze is standing there.

Allocco: “What do you mean you had no choice-“

Cruze: “Adam! Look out!”

Adam doesn’t hear this in time as the crowd erupts as Xander Valentine has slid into the ring, having come from the crowd. Xander get sup and grabs Adam, spinning him around violently, before grabbing him by the throat. Adam’s eyes widen as he immediately realizes the danger he’s in.

Cruze: “Xander! Stop! Stop!”

Lyman: “Xander Valentine returned, coming from the crowd, and assaulted Adam Allocco. Shaun Cruze’s urging stopping him from doing more than this chokeslam.”

Knots: “Adam never saw it coming. And then…it sounds like Xander Valentine is using his Trios Tournament contract against Adam Allocco!”

Cruze steps towards the ring, trying to get Xander’s attention. Xander berates Adam, saying something to him, before hoisting him up and dropping him with a violent chokeslam. The crowd erupts as Xander walks around the ring, fuelled fully on rage. He then turns and grabs Adam by his head and hair. He starts to pull him up. The crowd continues to cheer, now for Xander, enjoying his pure violence.

Cruze: “Xander! Stop it! Stop it or I’ll petition the board to void your Trios cash-in for next week!”

Xander stops and looks at Adam.

Cruze: “You want your revenge against Adam, put him down.”

Xander continues to just glare at Adam before shoving him down.

“Shocking Moment of 2022…Xander Valentine returns and attacks Adam Allocco.”

The End of the Year Special logo comes up on the screen.

We return to the stage as Jonathan Knots looks around.

Knots: “Well that’s the moment things looked bleak for Adam, but things turning around. Owen Cruze now the champion and I wonder what Adam Allocco is thinking. Maybe a straight line to the World Title?”

Knots shrugs.

Knots: “But next! We’re going to give out another award and this time…the Rookie of the Year!”

The crowd roars.

Knots: “A lot of new talent coming into SCW. Who got your attention? Well…I can tell you.”

Knots holds up an envelope as another model comes over and hands him the award. Knots nods and rips open the envelope. He reads the card.

Knots: “And your Rookie of 2022….Deanna Frost!”

The crowd roars. The chords of "People Like Us" by Kelly Clarkson fill the arena, causing a roar from the audience. We then wait a few moments before Deanna Frost walks out from the back, smiling, holding the SCW World Tag Team Championship. Selena Frost walks out with her. She stands off to the side as Deanna looks around and smiles and goes to the podium. She takes the award and holds it over her head. She looks around and then turns to the microphone.

Deanna: “Well…uh…Rookie of the Year…Wow…”

Deanna looks at the award and looks up.

Deanna: “After deciding to step up and try to make my name in the ring, instead of at ringside…to be named this, by you, the fans…Wow.”

Deanna looks out.

Deanna: “Thank you!”

Deanna smiles as she looks around.

Deanna: “I don’t know what else to say except I’m going nowhere and I’m going to keep fighting. Keep defending these titles. Keep standing by Selena. And keep fighting for what I think is right!”

Deanna looks out. She then turns to Selena.

Deanna: “And well, now is as good as ever for what we have planned for tonight, so…let’s end 2022 the only way the Frosts know!”

Deanna turns and walks over as “Ignite” by Alan Walker and K-391 plays throughout the arena. Making their way down the ramp, their steps leaving ‘footprints’ in the ‘snow’, Deanna rushes ahead to high-five members of the SCW Universe. Reaching the ring first, Deanna slides in and jumps to the ropes, leaning over them with her arm raised. She repeats this on the other side of the ring as Selena makes her way up the stairs and into the ring. 

Knots: “Well let’s go to ringside as Selena and Deanna too. Simon Lyman and Adam Sharper can finally talk!”

Reaching the center, Selena lifts her hand up to give a twirl as the lights form to make a massive snowflake under her. Stopping her spin and lowering her hand back down, towards the audience, once again palm upright, a smirk graces her lips, her other arm lifting to the sky once more as Deanna drops to her knees and spins around to stop right in front of Selena, facing the audience as Selena does and posing with her arms outstretched and a smile on her face as the ‘leaves’ also encircle the two women over the snowflake. With a slam of her foot, Selena causes the snowflake at their feet to “crack” as the rampway did, the shards of ice and ‘leaves’ streaking out to all four corners of the ring to shoot out blue and red sparkles of light as the lights return to normal. Selena helps Deanna to her feet as the audience continue to cheer. Selena then heads over to the corner. We cut to ringside where Simon Lyman and Adam Sharper sit at the announce position.

Sharper: “Thank you Jonathan and it’s going to heck of a night tonight. We’re going to see the Frosts decide to do something here.”

Lyman: “We don’t know yet. But we’ll also see the Open Invitational and the World Title to come up tonight too.”

Sharper: “And we’ll be calling the action while Knots hopes to keep his hosting duties this year.”

Lyman: “We can only hope.”

Back in the ring, Selena Frost has a microphone and walks around the ring.

Selena: “As everyone knows this is an event that is big in the Frost household.”

Selena looks around.

Selena: “I made my debut here and Deanna stepped up here last year and we’ve both parlayed this into a full career and our success.”

The crowd cheers politely.

Selena: “And that’s why we’re here. We’ve made our moments in the Open Invitationals, stepping up and it got us going, but I know there are people backstage, wondering if this really is for them. Every year, people come up and look at the open invitational and step back because they worry about losing. Well, tonight, we want to do something different while reflecting how special this night is.”

Selena looks at Deanna.

Selena: “And that’s because we’re going to give two people backstage who aren’t contracted to SCW a shot at our World Tag Team Championship belts. You can make your careers in one night. Come out and come into this ring!”

Selena looks around.

Selena: “Come on! Two people in the back. Come on out and if you win, you’ve got the World Tag Team Championship, the winner’s purse that comes from it. We can do something special here in Toronto!”

The crowd cheers. Selena looks at the crowd as Deanna motions for someone to come down to the ring.

Selena: “Any takers!”

Selena and Deanna remain in the ring.

Sharper: “Big opportunity!”

Lyman: “There are always people who come to this event planning to enter and don’t.”

A few moments pass before “Holding Out for a Hero” by Bonnie Tyler plays. The crowd roars as we see a man come out from the back, wearing a white mask. He looks around and jumps up and turns and looks at the ring. He then points to the titles and then to him before motioning. Deanna takes off the title and holds it over her head. The man looks around as he turns and stops at the top of the ramp. He then looks at the ring before shaking his finger and turning back.

Sharper: “We have one taker!”

Lyman: “Know anything about him.”

Sharper: “His name is the White Knight and he’s a local talent from Pickering. But he looks to be hanging back.”

Lyman: “Wants to make sure he has a partner!”

Selena and Deanna look in the ring.

Selena: “There’s one! Any others!”

Selena looks around. A few moments pass as the crowd cheers a bit. Some fans even volunteer themselves before we hear “Everything Burns” by Anastasia and Ben Moody play throughout the arena. A few moments pass as spotlights circle the arena. We then cut to the stage to see a woman in red attire, thrown out of the entrance way. She rolls over and turns. Selena and Deanna take notice. The White Knight does too.

Sharper: “What the hell?”

Lyman: “What’s going on?!”

A few moments pass as the woman gets up and The One steps out from the back. The crowd boos loudly as Deanna looks at the stage. The camera briefly focuses on her cast on her arm. The woman gets up and The One hits a spinning forearm shot. She drops down. The White Knight storms over to the One and quickly the One hits a straight kick to the ribs and then one to the jaw before then forcing him down. She steps behind him and looks in the ring before running forward and drilling The White Knight from behind with a vicious knee.

Sharper: “The One assaulting both!”

Lyman: “But why? Doesn’t she hate the Frosts? Wouldn’t she want to see them fail like this!”

Sharper: “And The White Knight taken down and now back to Valeria…that’s her name. She was hoping this could be a career-making night and –“

The One steps up behind her and hoists her up onto her shoulders. Deanna goes to step through the ropes as Selena steps over too. The One turns to the ring and then drops down Valeria with the Downward Spiral on the stage. The crowd ohs. The One rolls back. Deanna and Selena jog up the rampway. The One turns and backs up to the podium. She grabs the microphone.

The One: “You think I’m going to watch you pretend you’re giving an opportunity when you’re really just doing this to feed your ego. Do you think either of these two had a chance?”

The One looks both.

The One: “Deanna…Rookie of the Year. It makes me sick. More of the same. You want different. You want change. You want something to shake the foundation, you come to me! At least I saved the world from another the Frosts are great moment…these two scrubs couldn’t hold your ring boots, let alone the World Tag Team Championship!”

Deanna looks at her as Selena checks on the White Knight. Officials come out too to check on both.

The One: “Even if you are one handed!”

The One backs up as Deanna steps forward, but officials stop her. The camera again focuses on her cast.

Sharper: “The One needling Deanna again!”

Lyman: “Not just Deanna, but the Frosts! And attacking these talents who just wanted a moment.”

Sharper: “Instead The One took the moment for herself and reminded everyone what she can be capable of. And those two will not forget it; neither will the Frosts!”

Selena checks on Valeria as Deanna continues to watch The One as she walks to the back. The crowd boos as the scene fades out.

The End of the Year Special logo comes up on the screen. A female voice is heard.

“The Return of 2022…”

We cut to Rise to Greatness XIX where Adam Allocco and Selena Frost are both down in the main event. Adam grabs at the ropes as Selena rolls over. (5) They both start to get up. Adam uses the ropes to get up as Selena fights to her feet. (6) They get up to a vertical base, ending the ten count. Selena then turns around and Adam goes for a hard right, but Selena blocks it and nails him with a hard right. Adam staggers. Selena resets and swings. This time, Adam blocks it and fires back with one of his own. Selena staggers back and she steps up. Adam kicks her in the knee. He goes for the Back from Rehab. Selena counters by shoving him forward. Adam runs into the ropes. Selena runs after him. Adam bounces off and stops as Selena jumps to the top rope and goes for the Defying Gravity. Adam, however, ducks, just in time.

Sharper: “Allocco tries for the Back From Rehab. Selena counters. Into the ropes. Selena too. Defying Gravity!”

Knots: “Adam ducked!”

Selena lands on her feet, but Adam immediately hits the Enlightenment. Selena falls hard, face first into the mat from the impact. Adam drops down and rolls her over and falls on top of her.

The crowd erupts in cheers as the bell sounds. Adam rolls off and looks down at the mat.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, and NEW SCW World Champion…Adam Allocco!”

The crowd roars as some boo. Adam slowly rolls over to a seated position. He looks down as pyro shoots out from the entrance way. Selena remains down, looking up at the lights. Adam looks up, simply taking in the moment as he slowly gets up. Demitra raises his arm, handing him the SCW World Championship. Adam Allocco looks at the title before then kissing it. He thrusts it over his head as he looks around the stadium.

Sharper: “Adam Allocco has done it. We said history would be made in one way or another and tonight, it’s in Adam Allocco’s name. He is now World Champion!”

Lyman: “Amazing return. From rock bottom earlier this year. We remember it in February. To turning his life around in record time to have this moment. And he stands tall here at Rise to Greatness XIX!”

The End of the Year Special logo comes up on the screen.

The scene opens up to show Jonathan Knots at the stage.

Knots: “Well, looks like we have our fair share of fun. The One wanted to be the One to take out those two poor bastards.”

Knots turns to the corporate box where the Board of Directors are.

Knots: “Hope you have the cheque books out for that situation!”

Knots shrugs as a model walks out with another award, this one a male model.

Knots: “Well, that’s the sign I should get back to why I’m here and that’s handing out these awards which I assume at some point will be called up on Pawn Stars!”

Knots holds up another envelope.

Knots: “This time…your Star of Tomorrow!”

Knots rips open the envelope and looks inside. He pulls out the card and smirks.

Knots: “Maybe we can get an update…your Star of Tomorrow…HAIRLESS PENGUIN!”

The crowd roars as Knots turns. The crowd roars as jaunty and generic royalty free music begins to play throughout the arena. A few moments pass and shockingly, Hairless Penguin himself walks out from the back. He walks forward and looks around. He takes a deep breath as Knots hands him the award. Penguin looks at it, openly mouthing “For me?” Knots nods and Penguin steps forward.

Knots: “Congratulations Penguin. Are you prepared for tonight? Has Lexy Chapel agreed?”

Penguin pauses for a moment.

Penguin: “Tonight…I’m as ready as can be. And to know I was voted as Star of Tomrorow.”

Penguin nods.

Penguin: “I’m ready. I’m ready. I have to be. Owen, you better be ready too. And Lexy…she needs to know to respect this. This is the night where I know where I belong!”

Penguin turns and holds up his award. The crowd roars.

Knots: “Well congratulations Penguin! We’ll see what you can give to Owen Cruze. You could walk out tonight as World Champion!”

Penguin looks out and around before heading to the back as the scene fades out.

“The Feud of 2022…”

“Eye of the Storm” by Pop Evil starts to play. We open up with shots of Asher Hayes talking to Josh Hudson backstage, but their voices aren’t heard. The same is with the following scene where Owen Lee is talking to Asher Hayes before we cut to show Owen Lee in his locker room.

Owen opens the door as Hudson runs at Owen and lift him up and spear him into the wall, leaving an indent in the drywell. Hudson turns and tackles Owen down, nailing him with repeated right hands to the jaw. We cut forward as Owen then starts to fight up and Hudson grabs him and pulls him up and then pulls him in before taking him over with a huge overhead belly to belly suplex down the hallway. Owen hits the floor and slides a bit. The crowd ohs. Owen rolls over, holding his back. Hudson then gets up and walks over to him. He stands over him.

Hudson: “So you’re better than me?! You’re better? They want you! Not me…I’m a f[bleep]ing legend!”

Hudson stomps Owen in the face.

Hudson: “You pissed on everything and they give you a pass!”

Hudson stomps Owen in the face again and then again and again.

Hudson: “Well I don’t forget! And I’m not going to let ANYONE forget!”

Hudson then dives onto Owen and starts to grind his fist into the face of Owen. Owen yells out as Hudson keeps grinding. He then grabs him and pulls him up and runs him over and into a doorframe. Owen drops to the floor. We cut to officials pulling Hudson away.

We cut to see Josh Hudson in the ring.

Hudson: “I’m going to make sure Owen Lee isn’t going to ride his FORMER reputation. I know why you wanted him…Tactical Warfare. Why not get the guy who won the most famous one. You know…the same match he complained about how it meant nothing because he wasn’t getting hand outs or protected.”

Hudson smirks.

Hudson: “Don’t worry Owen. Josh Hudson here…Hall of Famer…is going to save you from accidentally being tempted of going down the wrong path. Last week was a taste. At Hollywood of the South, I plan to take you, to stretch you, and make you cry like a bitch. Step one on finally earning some respect back in this sport!”

Hudson steps back and looks out at the camera. He then smirks.

Hudson: “You know…I knew your dad. The one you’ve moved away from. We shared some time in this ring. Thank God he’s dead.”

We then cut to a shot at Holly-Wood of the South. We see Josh Hudson and Owen Lee in the ring. Owen turns and runs at him and Hudson goes to pull the official in. Owen stops and Hudson lets go of the official. The crowd boos. Owen turns and moves the official to the side. The official nods and Hudson then shoves Owen down. Owen and the official fall down. The official rolls over and Owen gets up only for Hudson to then drop to his knees and low blow him. The crowd ohs and boos. Hudson then gets up and hoists him onto his shoulders.

Sharper: “Wait! Come on! Low blow! Hudson went low!”

Lyman: “Owen walked into it! And now…on his shoulders!”

Sharper: “Kingdom Come! No!”

Hudson then hits the Kingdom Come. The crowd boos. Hudson goes for the pin. The official turns as Daisy is fuming on the floor.

The crowd boos as the bell sounds. We then cut to later that night where Josh Hudson holds the SCW United States Championship.

We cut forward to Taking Hold of the Flame. We cut to show Owen Lee and Josh Hudson trading blows multiple times throughout the Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal. We then cut to see Hudson eliminated by Allocco and Syren, before showing Owen Lee looking at him on the ground, smiling as Hudson turns annoyed.

Don't let it bury you, oh

We then cut to the first Breakdown after Taking Hold of the Flame where Glory Braddock and Owen Lee face each other. Glory bounces off and Owen lifts her up and hits a hot shot. Glory hits the top rope and staggers back. Owen gets up and runs past her. He jumps up for the Redemption, but Glory moves out of the way. Owen steps forward and Glory limps at him and runs over and pushes him into the ropes before pulling Owen back with an Okana roll but Owen rolls through.

The crowd roars. Glory kicks out after the three as Owen falls forward. The bell sounds.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Owen Lee!”

Sharper: “Owen counters the roll up for the win!”

Lyman: “Hey! Look! Look! Josh Hudson!”

Hudson slides into the ring as Owen gets up and Hudson clotheslines him down before Glory gets up only for Hudson to grab her and throw her over the top rope to the floor. Owen rolls over and Hudson turns back and Owen gets up and Hudson takes him down by the arm and then pulls on the arm and the wrist before locking in a crossface. Owen yells in pain.

Sharper: “Hudson attacking Owen and Glory!”

Lyman: “He’s going after Owen’s left arm!”

Hudson pulls back.

Hudson: “Tap, you bitch! Tap!”

Owen yells out as Hudson keeps pulling back. Owen reaches out before Hudson moves into the Sever(in) Mission. The crowd boos as Owen struggles for a moment before starting to fade. Hudson keeps the hold on, his eyes wide in pure rage. Owen fades quickly as the official calls for the bell again and then tries to get Hudson to stop. Hudson keeps the hold on as Owen fades entirely, going limp.

Sharper: “Owen Lee is out! Get help! Hudson has choked him out!”

Knots: “Owen’s completely limp, guys!”

Sharper: “Get help!”

We then cut to the following week. Owen Lee is in the ring. We just to see Josh Hudson on the stage too.

Owen: “Looks like Josh Hudson just can’t get enough of little old me. And while you want to think you’ve gotten under my skin Josh, coming out here, after I have a hard fought match with a true legend in Glory Braddock, you have to not only attack her but attack me. And as we just saw on the footage, you decided that you wanted to choke me out in the middle of the ring!”

Owen: “But the video showed it there…you wanted me to tap. You wanted me to give up, right? Well, Josh…I’m right here if you want to try again.”

Owen looks around.

Owen: “You got me last week. Had to again hit me from behind. Blindside. Keep it going. Because Josh, I have a little idea. We have an event you know damn well and maybe I’ll give you one thing you want…all the attention in the world. The greatest in his own mind…nah, that’s not fair. You’re actually good in the ring. The record speaks for it. But you’re not living up to it. But I’ll give you the spotlight. And you can try again with me at Rise to Greatness XIX! How about that?”

Hudson: “For once, Owen, you’re actually right. You passing out…that was a happy accident. I’ll never be angry about feeling someone pass out thanks to my hands in that ring, but that’s not what I wanted. See, Owen, to me…you’re a quitter. That’s all you are. That’s what I’ve always had a problem with and you’ve never really redeemed yourself for it. You never actually did the time for your childishness, but here we are and Papa Hudson needs to give you the ass kicking your dad isn’t here to give you.”

Owen: “How touching!”

Hudson: “It is. And to that end, you and me at Rise to Greatness…I’ll happily kick your ass there.”

The crowd roars.

Owen: “Well Josh, I’m not going to back down. In fact, I think I have another challenge to make. We got you and I at Rise to Greatness-“

Hudson: “What? Title on the line? Going to just angle for a title shot. Have you really grown up enough to handle the pressure?”

Owen: “Not that Huddie, but if you’ve got it, I’ll happily take it. No…I think I have a better idea. One of us leaves happy at Rise to Greatness…because how about you and I face off in a submission match!”

The crowd erupts. Josh smirks as Owen looks right at the entrance.

We then cut to shots of Josh Hudson locking the Severin Mission on Owen Lee as Owen struggles, before cutting to shots of  the aftermath of Adam Allocco’s match against Josh Hudson on Breakdown. Hudson then steps forward to go after Selena, but Owen Lee slides into the ring. Hudson turns to him and Owen keeps sliding toward Hudson before hooking his leg and taking him down. Owen rolls through and locks in the Lee-Lock. The crowd erupts in cheers. Selena turns and watches Owen. Allocco uses this opportunity to pull himself out of the ring to the floor. He then starts to walk away. Hudson yells in pain as Owen cranks on the ankle.

Sharper: “Owen Lee from the back! Stopping Hudson from attacking Selena Frost. And the Lee Lock is locked in!”

Knots: “He’s going to damage his ankle!”

Sharper: “Hudson choked out Owen a few weeks ago. Lee now trying to make Hudson tap tonight with the Lee Lock. Owen and Josh meet in a submission match for the US Title at Rise to Greatness XIX!”

Lyman: “Will Josh Hudson tap?”

Hudson yells in pain, pulling on his hair as Owen keeps the hold on. He then bites his fingers as the camera focuses on Hudson as he tries to just get through the pain. We cut to shots of Josh Hudson going after Owen’s arm and trying to choke him out before cutting to shots of Josh Hudson frustrated as Owen Lee calls him out and tells him to come at him before showing Lee with Hudson in the Lee Lock. Hudson yells in pain.

Hudson: “Oh…Owen…oh to be young and dumb. I’ll make you tap, bitch!”

Owen: “Good luck trying!”

The End of the Year Special logo comes up on the screen.

Open Invitational

The bell sounds. Jason Phillips stands in the ring.

Phillips: “Fans, the following contest is the End of the Year Special Open Invitational. Falls occur by pinfall or submission and the last person standing wins the open invitational, two-hundred and fifty thousand dollars and a new 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS SUV!”

The crowd roars as we cut to show the car stationed next to the stage. The camera remains on it for a few moments longer.

Phillips: “Now the entrants…”

The lights in the arena go out as the opening chords of “Unforgiven” by Metallica begins to play.  As the song picks up its pace a spotlight shines at the top of the ramp and we see “The Assassin” Clyde Sutter standing there with a sinister grin on his face. After a few moments of soaking in the crowd reaction, which he seems to enjoy despite their booing, Sutter begins his slow walk down the ramp. 

Phillips: “From Raleigh, North Carolina, the Assassin, Clyde Sutter!”

The spotlight follows the sinister sociopath as he approaches the ring. The sound of a Japanese flute starts out playing quietly over the loudspeakers and the lights go down. The Tron comes up and we see two armies standing face to face on a battlefield. The flute continues playing and the camera on the Tron gets closer to the two armies. The camera shifts to where we just see Vespertine's eyes. The camera cuts back to a scene of two armies. The Japanese flute plays louder. Both armies are huge and they are an army of shogun, ronin, and samurai. As the army walks forward a single figure comes into view and emerges from the line. The figure raises their sword and as one the entire army stops. The figure runs forward and gets atop a boulder to look out. The camera goes over their shoulder and we see the other army standing as a wall in the distance. The figure/leader takes off their helmet and long black hair tumbles out from it and flows all around, sometimes waving and weaving in places where the wind catches it. The figure turns and looks at the army behind them and we see it is Vespertine. She raises her sword and roars in fury. Camera cuts scene and the Japanese flute stops.

The camera cuts back to scene of her army raising their own swords and shouting in fury. The camera pans back quickly and she does the motion of forward with her sword and the camera goes up and we see her entire army run forward to join in the fray below. The song "Gasoline" not the intro bridge at the start of the song but where Porcelain starts to sing.

Suddenly red and purple spotlights come up and she does a Gangrel type appearance where she comes up from under the stage.  From somewhere fans blow over her catching her cape and her hood.  The pictures on the tron capture her wrestling in the ring interspersed with pictures of her modeling on the beach or laying by the pool.

Phillips: “From San Francisco, California, she is the Well-Rounded Fighting Machine, Vespertine!”

One arm is raised and her katana sword is pointed at the sky.  Vespertine stands facing the audience.  When the lift stops, she steps off and brings the Katana down rather quickly to point it at the ring. Where upon a couple of fire pyro pillars go off on each side of her and various sections on the way to the ring. She walks down to the ring, stepping in time to the music.  When she gets to the ring, she kneels and prepares a small ritual for her match tonight.

Sharper: “Two fighte3rs to join us. Clyde Sutter making his return to SCW for this open invitational. Vespertine is among the newest signees.”

Lyman: “Can get everyone’s attention right off the bat. Could someone from San Fran win the Open Invitational two years in a row.”

The opening riff of “Wolf Within” hits the speakers and once the lyrics kick in Cassie Wolfe emerges from the back excited to start the match, with her hands on her leather jacket’s sides the rookie wrestler turns her back to the crowd.

Phillips: “From Greenock, South Australia and now residing in Las Vegas, Nevada, ‘The Rebel Princess’ Cassie Wolfe!”

When her name is announced Cassie spins around flashing the metal horns sign with her left hand and clapping fans hands with the other, when she reaches the ring Cassie jumps onto the apron before giving her hair a full flip and removing her jacket to give to a stagehand.

Sharper: “Cassie Wolfe continuing to stand out and looking to end 2022 with a big win.”

Lyman: “A lucrative one. One with big bragging rights for sure.”

Sharper: “And she’s been impressive so far. In her rookie year as a competitor.”

Lyman: “All the more reason to watch her if she’s already succeeding to this level.”

“The Black Adam Theme” plays throughout the arena as the crowd roars a bit before Reed James walks out from the back. The crowd buzzes a bit as Reed James looks around before taking a few deep breaths. He nods before heading to the ring.

Phillips: “From New York City, he is Reed James!”

James jogs down to the ring.

Sharper: “By the music you can tell, one of the projects Owen Cruze has been working on with his newest investment a training school. We’ll see what Reed James can do.”

Lyman: “Big stage. Going to look to take us by storm. Maybe shock us.”

Sharper: “I talked to Owen earlier and he said Reed can throw hands with the best of them. He’s proven himself as a striker and they’re getting some reps here in front of a very big crowd to see how he feels.”

“That's My Girl” plays throughout the arena as the stage and video screen goes dark. Gigi’s video plays on the screen and she steps out on to the stage wearing a black leather with tiny metal spikes on it and also a bandana covering her face.

Phillips: “From Los Angeles, California, she is Gigi Steward!”

She walks up to the center of the stage and stretches her arms out embracing the fans support for her. She begins is march to the walk to the ring walking with a purpose. She gets to ringside and rushes into the ring rolling inside. She marches to the corner and hops on the middle ropes and throws out her own hand sign to the fans.

Sharper: “Gigi Steward appearing here and the Stewards have been a stalwart force in this event.”

Lyman: “Always one win away from reminding us what she and the Stewards are capable of.”

The familiar riffs of Nickelback's "Savin Me" begins and soon Kelsai Adamson appears at the top of stage. It has been a while since she has been here, and a lot has changed (including her last name!) for the first and now former GCW Unified World Champion.

Phillips: “From Seattle, Washington, she is Kelsai Adamson!”

As she walks down the aisle toward the ring she soaks in the mixed reaction from the crowd as some remember what was when she was one of the more popular wrestlers in the world while in SCW, but still many others can't forget the hated villian that she became in GCW. Getting into the ring, a smile starts to form on her lips as she looks around at the crowd and she remembers what it is like to be back in SCW even if it's only for this one match.

Sharper: “Kelsai Adamson looking to showcase what she can do.”

Lyman: “A tough year for her personally. We’ll see whether this can give her some hope tonight.”

Sharper: “A lot to go on in this one. A lot of unknowns. Vespertine, Reed James, to name two. We know what Sutter, or Steward represent. But they also have certain goals of their own.”

The first chords of "Immortal" by Ozzy Osbourne begins to play over the PA system.

Phillips: “From London, England, she is The British Bombshell, Glory Braddock!”

Glory Braddock steps out onto the stage, wearing her ring gear consisting of purple spandex pants, boots, and a purple top. She really does look like a million bucks and grins from ear to ear, gazing out at the crowd for a moment before making her way down the entrance ramp.

Sharper: “And Glory Braddock, never missing an opportunity to be the centre of attention.”

Lyman: “And where is Amelia Stone? We know she’s here. I saw her myself.”

Sharper: “Glory Braddock no doubt has some strategy. I’ll be curious what may happen if her and Sutter cross paths. Very little love lost there.”

“Coming in Hot” by Diamante plays throughout the arena. The crowd roars a bit as we cut to the stage as Ash Harte walks out from the back. She poses on the stage and spins around. She smirks a bit and starts to head to the ring.

Phillips: “From New York City, New York, she is Ash Harte!”

Harte skips down to the ring, high fiving a few fans before heading down.

Sharper: “Ash Harte coming to the ring. Some personal tragedy for her, one half of Embers and Ashes, Michael Young passing away recently. Our thoughts go out to Ash Harte, to the Young family and more.”

The opening riff to "The Kingdom" by Bush kicks in. At the 11 second mark, the name "Asher Hayes" blares through the PA system, and Asher appears on the stage, wearing a long leather jacket and sunglasses.

Phillips: “From Chicago, Illinois, he is Asher Hayes!”

He makes his way down the ramp as the reaction of the crowd rain down upon him. He walks up the ring steps and climbs to the top turnbuckle, lifting both fists into the air, slinging the jacket off his shoulders, simply looking at the crowd before dropping down and running to the opposite side.

Sharper: “And Asher Hayes returned on Breakdown a couple of weeks ago. He staked his claim to the World Title and now he’s testing himself out in this setting.”

Lyman: “Throw yourself into the lion’s den. You don’t know how many are coming at you. You just know you have to fight and people will be watching.”

The arena suddenly goes dark and for a moment it looks like nothing is going to happen, but then lights underneath stage start to slowly fade in and a flicker in a way to simulate the look of the stage being on fire. The fans in the arena break out in to cheering as "Watch Me Burn" By Lansdowne comes through the speaker system to signal the young woman's impending arrival.

A spotlight hits the top of the ramp showing Ember standing at the top of the ramp by herself. She is of course wearing a sexy version of a correctional facilities' jumpsuit that's made with white fabric with black lettering for the numbers on the left side of the chest and Property of Bad Behavior on the back. The jumpsuit's pants have been cut down to look more like Daisy Dukes, and she isn't wearing her over shirt portion as it's tied around her waist. Instead she's wearing a black bikini top that’s covered by a white fishnet top.

Phillips: “From Toronto, Ontario, Canada….she is Ember Young!”

Ember stands there with her hands on her hips as she bobs her head along with the beat of the song with a smile of pure excitement on her face. She starts to do a little seductive dance that gets a few cat calls from some of men and women in attendance. There is slight disappointment for the fans when she finally stops her dance and starts to make her way down to the ring. Along her way down to the ring she stops and high fives a few fans and hugs a couple of others, but it ends all to soon when she reaches the ring and has to walk up the ring steps up to the apron. She moves to the center of the center continuing to smile.

Sharper: “Ember Young joining us here too. Entering into this. And a big moment for her. In her hometown. We mentioned the passing of her father.”

Lyman: “She’s going to tribute him tonight. We’ll see. And you wonder if her and Ash Harte knew of this coming in. They planned something. I don’t know.”

The opening of "Whore" by In This Moment fills the arena as red and pink lights swirl around...

Kandis appears on the stage, a sultry smirk on her face as the crowd boos. She turns and shows off her notorious rear end, swaying it back and forth...

The lights dim as the music seems to pause a moment, then Kandis turns around, arms spread and feet wide apart as vocalist Maria Brink shouts:

{I CAN BE YOUR WHORE!}

Kandis starts down the ramp as the rest of the chorus continues, the sway in her hips ever present as she smirks at all the boos, even blowing sarcastic kisses to the crowd.

Phillips: “From Santa Barbara California.... she is Kandis!”

I am your sinner, I am your whore
But let me tell you something, baby
You love me for everything you hate me for}

Kandis goes up the ring steps and enters the ring through the second and top rope slowly, making sure to show off her ass. The heavy music fades out as Kandis goes to her corner.

Sharper: “And capping us off…the returning Kandis!”

Lyman: “And Kandis wants to make an impact. She had a World Title shot. An injury caused her to have to forfeit it. And we’ve not seen her since.”

Sharper: “And she is hoping to end 2022 with a bang and 2023 with a bigger one!”

The competitors all look at one another as Steve Hollinsworth stands in the ring, with Aaron Demitra and Jennifer Cassidy on the floor. The bell sounds. The crowd roars as Glory Braddock rolls to the floor. Clyde Sutter immediately steps up and nails Ash Harte with a hard right. Reed James looks around as Vespertine hits a spinning back kick to the ribs of Kelsai Adamson. She stumbles back as Kandis steps up as Asher Hayes walks up to her only for her to drill him with a hard forearm shot and then another. Ember pairs off with Gigi as Cassie Wolfe runs over and nails Reed with a shot. The crowd roars.

Sharper: “And here we go. The chaos begins. Eleven entrants and all looking to make a name for themselves.”

Lyman: “And Glory Braddock taking the moment to allow everyone to go after each other!”

Wolfe nails Reed with another shot and another. She goes to whip him across the ring, but Reed spins through and sends her in. She hits the ropes and stops, only for Sutter to nail him from the side. Reed goes down and roll to the ropes. Braddock runs over and grabs him and pulls him to the floor. She then runs him back first into the barricade. Sutter turns as Wolfe runs over and nails him with a hard right and then another and another before Sutter shoves her back. Wolfe falls back into the ropes, bouncing off and Sutter scoops her up and powerslams her down. The crowd ohs. He gets up as Gigi is whipped out by Ember and Sutter clotheslines her down. Glory goes for a pin on Reed.

Reed kicks out. Hayes is thrown into the corner by Kandis who kicks him a couple of times in the ribs before choking him with her boot. Sutter turns as Ember and Patience both run over and nail him with a couple of hard rights. The crowd roars. They knock him back into the corner. Ember and Ash turn and look at one another. But as they do, we then see, Kelsai run over and jump up and grab both, driving both into her knees as she drops down. Ash and Ember rolls back as the crowd ohs.

Sharper: “And Kelsai breaking up the brief reunion for Embers and Ashes.”

Lyman: “Gotta take what you can get. It’s the chaos of this match.”

Vespertine pairs off with Kandis and nails her with a hard right before nailing her with a back elbow. Kandis falls to the ropes. Vespertine hits a spinning back kick. Kelsai dropkicks Clyde, knocking him to the apron. Glory walks around the ring and watches as Reed stirs on the floor. Vespertine meanwhile nails Kandis with a couple more shots. Kelsai looks around and turns and goes to Gigi and Gigi forearms her in the jaw with a hard right and then another before whipping her into the ropes. She bounces off and Gigi hits a jumping frankensteiner. She turns and goes for the pin.

Kelsai kicks out. Gigi rolls off and moves to the ropes, before Glory pulls her to the floor and then hooks her up and hits a back suplex onto the apron. The crowd ohs. Glory shoves her back in. She then walks around the ring as she locks eyes with Clyde Sutter. Sutter slowly gets up and looks up and we then see Hayes running across the ring and jumping up with a dropkick, knocking him off the apron to the floor.

Sharper: “Sutter knocked to the floor. Braddock and him locking eyes.”

Lyman: “And she’s backing away. Hayes knocks him off and she’s not following up.”

Hayes looks at Sutter and smirks as back in the ring, we see Vespertine snapmare Kandis over and kick her in the back before kicking her in the chest and then going for the pin.

Kandis kicks out. Vespertine gets up and turns as Hayes heads over to her, but Vespertine hits a straight kick to the ribs. He staggers back. Vespertine catches Ash with a hard right and then a straight kick to Ember Young before looking around. Reed slowly slides in as Cassie runs over and nails Gigi with a couple of shots before pulling her in. She hits a snap suplex and floats over for the pin.

Gigi kicks out. Cassie rolls off. She gets up and Kelsai grabs her. Just then, Reed steps up and Vespertine hits a straight kick to the ribs. She goes for a kick to his head, but Reed ducks. Vespertine spins through and Reed hits a spinning back fist to the jaw. Vespertine staggers back to the ropes. Glory jumps up and hits a guillotine drop. She staggers back and Reed runs into the ropes, bounces off and hits a running a straight kick to the jaw. Vespertine hits hard and Reed rolls her up.

Vespertine rolls over as the crowd ohs.

Sharper: “Vespertine has been eliminated!”

Lyman: “Glory with the assist. But she’s looking to get people out of there!”

Sharper: “And Reed James just took her head off!”

The crowd ohs as Reed looks at her a bit stunned and turns as Kelsai whips Cassie into Reed. Cassie goes up and hits a flying headscissors. The crowd ohs. Cassie gets up and Kelsai runs at her and Cassie hits a hip toss. She rolls through and gets up and runs at Cassie before Cassie forearms her in the jaw and then Kelsai nails her. They trade blows before Ash Harte and Ember Young both run over and kick them in the ribs. They then step forward and hit a stereo snap suplexes. The crowd roars. Both get up and Kandis steps up and hits a Gratuitous hip check to Ash before Hayes hits a spinning heel kick to Ember. They roll over. Kandis turns and Hayes smirks before posing and Kandis just kicks him between the legs. The crowd ohs. Kandis looks at him as he goes down, but then Glory slides into the ring and attempts a roll up on Kandis!

Kandis kicks out. Glory looks up and gets up and Kandis turns and nails her with a hard right. Glory falls through the ropes to the floor. She gets up and Kandis rolls to the floor. She runs after Glory. Glory runs around the ring, followed by Kandis. The crowd roars before Glory spins around one ringpost and Amelia Stone gets up and nails Kandis with a clothesline. The crowd ohs. Glory smirks.

Sharper: “Oh! Kandis drilled!”

Lyman: “Where did she come from?!”

Sharper: “I don’t know, but Glory Braddock just used one ace up her sleeve and Amelia Stone just drilled Kandis!”

Glory smirks as Amelia looks down at Kandis. Sutter slides back into the ring as Asher turns and Sutter scoops him up and hits a powerslam. He gets up as Reed kicks him in the ribs and nails him with a series of hard rights and lefts. Sutter covers up as Reed takes shot after shot after shot. Sutter then shoves him back and Reed falls into Gigi who hits the backstabber. The crowds. Reed rolls over in pain. Gigi turns and goes for the pin.

Kelsai dives off the top rope and hits a moonsault right onto Gigi, breaking it up. The crowd ohs. Gigi rolls over in pain. Kelsai pops up and looks at her turns and Sutter kicks her in the ribs, placing her head between his legs. He hoists her up and powerbombs her. He holds on and hoists her up again and hits a second powerbomb. He goes for another and moves her into a position on his shoulders, but Cassie Wolfe runs over and jumps up, hitting a variation of a Greenest Wizard to his head. He falls over. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “Good lord! Jumping wizard to the face of Sutter. That may have saved Kelsai!”

Lyman: “Everyone’s going big in this one.”

Sharper: “And Embers and Ashes back up!”

Glory Braddock looks in the ring and then climbs up to the top rope. She then looks at Sutter and shrugs before diving off with the London Plunge. The crowd ohs. She pops up, but Ember and Ash shove her hard into the corner and Ash drops down in front of Glory. Ember steps to the middle of the ring and then looks at Glory and runs over and jumps off her back with the Embers to Ashes. The crowd ohs. Glory falls to the mat. Ember goes for the pin.

Glory gets her foot on the bottom rope. The crowd ohs. Ember rolls off. Glory rolls to the floor. Ember gets up and looks at Ash. The two look at one another before hugging in the ring. The crowd roars. They then turn and go over to Asher Hayes who gets up. Hayes smirks and looks at both before both whip him into the ropes. He bounces off and Ember and Ash hit a double back drop. Asher rolls over. They turn as Ash goes after Reed and Ember goes after Gigi. Ember drags Gigi up and clubs her in the back once and then again before Ash nails Reed with a shot. Ash whips Reed out. Ember whips Gigi up, both counter and Ash and Ember run into one another. The crowd ohs. Reed turns and Gigi reaches up and rakes the eyes of Reed. Gigi kicks him in the ribs and goes for the Nirvana, but Reed lifts her up and throws her back into Wolfe who catches her into a lungblower. The crowd ohs. Gigi hits the mat and Reed looks stunned as Wolfe looks over. She goes to cover Gigi, but Sutter dives onto Gigi. Wolfe looks over as Kandis hits Wolfe with the Starmaker. The crowd ohs.

Sutter rolls off Gigi as Kandis covers Wolfe.

The crowd boos.

Sharper: “Just too many people around. Wolfe walked right into Kandis!”

Lyman: “A quick lesson tonight. An earlier exit than she’d want.”

Sharper: “And Gigi out too. Sutter crawling over to take advantage.”

Kandis gets up and turns as Hayes runs over and spears her. The crowd ohs. Hayes goes for the pin.

Kandis just gets a shoulder up. She rolls over in pain. Hayes looks over and stomps her in the side and then the back before Glory gets up and spins him around. Hayes looks at her and smirks and Braddock chops him. The crowd ohs. Hayes forearms her. Braddock chops her again. Hayes forearms her and Kelsai runs over and jumps up, grabbing both and falling back with a DDT. The crowd ohs. Kelsai turns and looks at them before looking around. She turns and looks around before running to the ropes. Sutter gets up and scoops her up, but Kelsai fights and slides down behind him. Sutter stops and turns and turns around as Harte, Young and Adamson look at him. He looks around before he’s taken down with a triple dropkick. The crowd cheers. Kelsai gets up and Reed rolls her up with a school boy.

The crowd ohs. Kelsai looks up stunned.

Sharper: “An upset! Reed James rolled her up and held on!”

Lyman: “And got three!”

Sharper: “Kelsai Adamson realizing that now. She’s checking.”

Lyman: “It was a three, Kelsai!”

Kelsai tries to protest, but sighs before reluctantly rolling to the floor. Back in the ring, Reed turns and nails Ash with a hard right, but misses on Ember Young, who dodges and shoves him back into the corner. She hits a couple of hard shoulders thrusts before she goes to whip him across. Reed spins through and sends her in. Reed turns and Ash runs at him and kicks him in the ribs. She hooks his head. He spins out and goes for a clothesline.

Sharper: “Wait a minute!”

He stops as the crowd roars as Dylan Howell randomly climbs out from under the ring and rolls into the ring, holding a chair. Howell gets up and nails Reed with a shot. Reed goes down before turning and nailing Ash with a chair shot to the head. The crowd ohs. Dylan turns and nails Patience again before turning to Sutter. Sutter blocks the chair shot and then drills Dylan in the head with it. He goes down. The crowd ohs. Sutter then kicks him violently out of the ring. The crowd boos. Ash stirs and Sutter hoists her up over his head and then drops her with the Cruciform Slam. He hooks the leg.

The crowd boos. Sutter rolls off. Howell looks around as Stone runs over and kicks him in the ribs, knocking him over again and again. Security comes over to stop him, but then a few come over for Stone. Stone looks around and protests. Sutter starts to get up and turns to Reed, but Reed counters with a hard right. Sutter staggers back. Reed slowly gets up and staggers up. Sutter boots him in the face. He falls back. Sutter then backs up and then runs forward, but Hayes suddenly nails Sutter with the Dust to Dust. Reed stirs as Young climbs to the top rope and then dives off with the Back Draft.

Sharper: “Hayes with the Dust to Dust. Young with the Back Draft!”

Lyman: “Big moves! Big impact! Maybe big result! Covers on both!”

Hayes hooks the leg.

Young covers Reed. Demitra enters the ring.

The crowd roars. Young gets up and Glory Braddock clotheslines her down from behind. She steps up to Hayes and grabs him and spikes him with a DDT.

Sharper: “Sutter and James out! But Glory picking up the pieces!”

Lyman: “Just seeing the opportunity here with our final four!”

Sharper: “And Kandis is down too!”

Lyman: “Still feeling that spear from Asher Hayes!”

Braddock then turns and walks over to Hayes and pulls him up by the head and smirks before looking at him and then stepping up and going for the Shekinah Glory. The crowd roars as Glory leans back. The crowd boos as Glory keeps leaning back but as she does, we see Kandis running out from the corner and jumping up and hitting the Bass Drop onto Glory. The crowd ohs. Glory lets go and Kandis falls forward. Hayes rolls forward into a jackknife pin.

Glory throws her arm up, but can’t kick out as Hayes rolls off.

Sharper: “The Bass Drop! Right to the face! And Hayes counters! Glory is eliminated!”

Lyman: “And the favourite, the true favourite in this, is gone!”

Glory turns, blinking, dazed from Kandis’s shot to her. She leans on the ropes as Asher Hayes starts to get up and suddenly, Young dives off the top rope and hits the Flash Over onto Hayes. The crowd erupts in cheers. Young turns and crawls over, hooking the leg.

The crowd roars as Kandis turns and glares at Ember Young.

Sharper: “Ember Young! From the top! Hayes left open! Young eliminates Hayes! We’re at the final two!”

Lyman: “And Young, in her hometown, after the death of her father. Can this motivate her? Can she finish it off?”

Sharper: “Look at Kandis. She’s glaring at Young. Did she want to eliminate Hayes or something? She saved him a moment ago!”

Lyman: “That made sense to leave Glory in a worse spot!”

Kandis then runs out and goes for a running boot on Young, but Young ducks and spins around and rolls her up with a school boy.

Kandis kicks out. Both get up and Kandis goes for a forearm shot, but Young blocks it and ducks around and under her and attempts a backslide. Kandis fights though and blocks it before backflipping through. Kandis then kicks her in the ribs. She pulls her head between her legs and sets up for a powerbomb. She hoists Young up as Hayes rolls out of the ring, but Young fights and Kandis runs forward only for Young to counter with a frankensteiner into the corner. Kandis goes face first into the turnbuckle. She starts to get up and Young walks over and grabs her, placing her on the top rope. Young nails her with a hard right and then another and another before climbing up to the middle rope and looking around. She looks up to the sky before jumping up and going for the Wild Fire Driver, but Kandis stands up and holds her up and hits a top rope sitout powerbomb. Young pops up and rolls through from the impact. Kandis winces and rolls over. Young rolls over and crawls forward on her forearms and knees as Kandis gets up. Young staggers up to her feet and turns around into Kandis who steps forward and drills her with the Starmaker. The crowd ohs and boos. Kandis steps forward and pulls back on Young’s leg and sits on her chest.

The bell sounds and Kandis rolls to her knees. She then looks down at her leg and steps up on it, getting to her feet, for effect.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, Kandis!”

Sharper: “Kandis returns and wins tonight, managing to overcome Ember Young who at the end, channelling her father, hoping to win this for his memory.”

Lyman: “So close. She had Kandis up for the Wild Fire Driver, but Kandis countered and she didn’t miss when she had her chance.”

Sharper: “Kandis back, her leg looks good, and she’s now $250 000 richer and has a new car.”

Lyman: “But we know what she’d love instead…that World Title shot she didn’t get thanks to injury.”

Kandis looks out at the crowd and smiles as her music plays throughout the arena. Young winces in pain, rolling over slowly. Kandis celebrates some more.

The scene cuts to the stage where Jonathan Knots applauds.

Knots: “Congratulations to Kandis! Depending on what you need, you now can drive people around, or make some money on Kijiji!”

Knots looks around before turning to the award and envelope in his hand.

Knots: “We have our most prestigious awards of the year to give out here. The top female and male in SCW and we will announce our Match of the Year. But first…the female of the year.”

The crowd roars.

Knots rips into the envelope and looks into it. He pulls out the card.

Knots: “The One may not be happy…your woman of the year…SELENA FROST!”

The crowd roars.

BELIEVE IT!

The SCW Universe are on their feet as  “Kings and Queens” by Ava Max as plays throughout the arena, snow “falling” along the electronic floor and screens as, out from the back walks the Snow Queen, Selena Frost. She walks over to the podium, thanks Knots, and looks at the award. She then stops.

Selena: “I wish I could stand here, celebrating how I get to end 2022 enjoying another moment with my wife…both of us winning awards. But instead, The One coming out and ruining what we thought could be a fun moment for someone….One….Deanna is going to get revenge. Trust me on that and-“

Kandis walks over to the podium, making her way to the back. She looks at Selena. Kandis then turns and walks off. Selena watches her leave.

Selena: “Looks like others have some plans too. And I’ll have mine. BELIEVE IT!”

Selena watches as Kandis continues to walk to the back. The scene fades out.

 The End of the Year Special logo comes up on the screen. A female voice is heard.

“The Match of 2022…”

The scene opens up at Rise to Greatness XIX.

Phillips: “The following contest is the submission match for the SCW United States Championship!”

The crowd cheers as the SCW United States Championship logo comes across the screen before fading to the bottom corner. We cut to shots of Owen Cruze walking to the ring and then a shot of Josh Hudson.

Sharper: “Here we go. Submission match. That means you only win or lose by tapping out. No rope breaks. No disqualifications. No countouts.”

Lyman: “And this is what Owen wanted and Josh was happy to oblige.”

We cut to shots of Josh taking Owen down with a Greco-Roman takedown before cutting to shots of Owen Cruze going for a fujiwara arm bar as Hudson fights it off. We cut to shots of Hudson slingshotting Owen into the bottom rope before showing Hudson locking in a variation of a surfboard on Owen Cruze. We cut to shots of Hudson raking the eyes before showing him driving Owne into the announce table and then showing Hudson powerbombing Owen into the apron and then showing him hitting the Big Fat Kill into a ringpost.

Sharper: “Big Fat Kill into the ringpost!”

Lyman: “The back has a big target on it.”

Knots: “Ask Owen now. Doesn’t have to have a submission on to tap out. Maybe he just gives up from brutalization!”

We cut to shots of Hudson hitting a huge German suplex on Owen Cruze before showing Hudson torturing Owen and then cutting to a shot of Owen in an elevated crab. This is followed by Hudson going for a torture rack and then Owen counters before hitting a superkick. We cut to shots of Owen going for Hudson’s legs before going for a figure four leg lock in the ropes.

Sharper: “Owen with another creative submission.”

Lyman: “Owen thinking big.”

Knots: “Yeah. But can he hold on. The back!”

We cut to more shots from the match before showing Hudson hitting another powerbomb on the apron and then locking in the Hudson Stretch in the ropes. Owen yells in pain.

Sharper: “Hudson on one leg. He knows it.”

Lyman: “And he’s hooked himself in the ropes so even if his leg gives out, he’s got the leverage!”

Sharper: “Hudson Stretch in the ropes! He’s pulling Owen and trying to bend him in half!”

Knots: “All of that torque on the back, on the thigh. I love the sound of Owen screaming!”

Owen yells out in pain as Hudson keeps pulling back.

Sharper: “And right after that powerbomb on the apron!”

Owen keeps yelling in pain as Hudson keeps pulling back. Owen grits his teeth before then starting to tap on his own shoulder. The crowd boos as the referee calls for the bell. The bell sounds. Hudson lets go more from exhaustion than choice as he falls back to the ropes. Owen falls back to the apron, still tangled in the ropes.

Sharper: “I don’t believe it! I don’t believe it one bit. But Owen Lee tapping out to Josh Hudson.”

Knots: “One mistake. The kid made a mistake. How many times have we heard that. Well this time it may have taught him humility!”

Sharper: “Hudson tangled him up in the ropes. Nowhere for him to go. And with Hudson even thinking about his leg, the damage done. Both of the two have left something in that ring.”

Lyman: “Both clearly hurt too. Owen’s back; Hudson’s leg. But Hudson is still the US Champion.”

The official hands Hudson his US Championship as he takes it and clutches it. He rolls over, smiling as the official checks on him. Hudson points to Owen as the official turns to Owen. Hudson slides back and smirks as he holds up his title before falling back to his back.

Sharper: “Exhausted and still with that smirk.”

Lyman: “Owen had him in so many cases. Even in the run-up, but experience coming through here tonight.”

Knots: “Damn right!”

“The Match of 2022…Owen Cruze vs. Josh Hudson at Rise to Greatness XIX.”

The End of the Year Special logo comes up on the screen.

The End of the Year Special returns with a panning shot of the crowd before cutting to the stage where Jonathan Knots stands at the podium.

Knots: “What a night it has been and we have one award left to give out!”

Knots looks around.

Knots: “That’s right…the Male Wrestler of the Year!”

Knots looks around.

Knots: “And you voted on it. You’ve voted on all of these and well, I think it’s time to put the male roster out of their misery. Who had the best 2022?”

Knots looks at the podium and turns as a model walks out bringing out a trophy and places it on the podium. Knots smirks. He then pulls out the envelope and holds it up.

Knots: “So who won?”

Knots rips open the envelope and looks at the camera before looking at the card and pulling it out and smirking. He nods.

Knots: “Well folks…we have something unique this year because there are two winners!”

The crowd roars.

Knots: “Your co-winners of the Male of 2022 award are….XANDER VALENTINE AND ADAM ALLOCCO!”

The crowd roars. Knots smirks as he turns. A few moments pass before the arena lights shutter off. A single beam of golden light is cast down onto the center of the stage, accompanied by a loud bass rumbling from the sound system. A light snowfall of sliver confetti falls within the pillar of light. The rough guitar chords of 'Wired' by JJ Wilder strike the sound system. Adam steps out, head hung low, into the light. He slowly looks up, a blinding flash of light accompanies him dropping down onto his knee. He raises his arms, almost as if he's calling out to God. He then walks over to the podium and grabs the award. Adam Allocco looks out as his music stops.

Allocco: “Well…Male of 2022.”

Allocco looks around. Knots walks up to correct him. Adam cuts him off.

Allocco: “Don’t bother. Look…Xander came back and he looked to take me out but some things are bigger than him. Than his vengeance. He had a good run. But I…I am defeating alcoholism. I’ve tried to turn over a new leaf. I won at Rise to Greatness. Beating your Woman of the Year no less. Look…I’ve done it all. He had a good run, Xander, but let’s face it…nothing compared to me. Taking Hold of the Flame, anyone?”

Allocco smirks and looks at the award.

Allocco: “And post-forty. Look…I…I said my story wasn’t done. It’s not. And with Xander no longer as champion, I can get back to writing the story I should be. We all know what should happen. It’s not Kim, or Glory or Asher…but me…give me my shot at Owen. I beat him on Breakdown in October. Yeah, he beat me at the Chamber, but there’s money there. Just…just give me my chance to write the story as it should be. I’m ready and I’m ready for it and-“

We then see Xander Valentine walk out on the stage from the back. Adam turns and sees him. He starts to back up.

Allocco: “Look, Xander…I know you hate me and I…look. I’m not the same-“

Xander walks over and grabs the award from Allocco and steps in front of the microphone.

Xander: “Bullshit. You’ve said it yourself.”

Allocco: “Fine. I’m not. But look, I have tried to get myself better just as you have. You’ve tried to give yourself a second chance after crippling Regan Street and-“

Xander looks at Allocco.

Allocco: “Okay…I-“

Xander: “You think any of this has to do with that. The fact that we’re rewarding you…Yeah, you finally got off the bottle. Good. Long overdue. But...it’s only the tip of the iceberg.”

Xander looks at Allocco.

Xander: “You know exactly why I wanted to make sure you never touched the World Title again.”

Allocco: “And you screwed up on that one big boy. Look…just-“

Xander: “Is this what Alistaire would want to hear?”

Allocco stops and looks at Xander. Knots looks confused.

Xander: “Do you need me to-“

Allocco steps up and swings in pure emotion, but Xander blocks it and grabs him by the throat and steps forward, Allocco’s back to the edge of the stage. The crowd roars. Officials run out and immediately get around the two. The crowd continues to make noise as Allocco looks at Xander concerned. Xander looks at him and leans forward, whispering something at him. He then pulls away and turns, grabbing the award. He then turns and storms off. Allocco coughs a bit and watches Xander leave as the scene slowly fades to black.

We open up at the SCW Headquarters. The sounds of phones ringing and people talking is broken up by a shot into the office of SCW Founder, Mr. D. We then hear a buzz as Mr. D looks around and then looks at the phone in the room. He presses a button.

Mr. D: “Yes?”

Sasha: “Dad….can I talk to you?”

Mr. D: “Oh yeah. Of course!”

Sasha: “I’ll be right in.”

A few moments pass before Sasha walks into the office. Sasha walks to the desk and sits down across from him.

Sasha: “So enjoying things.”

Mr. D: “Of course! Comfortable chairs, big office, nice day, a visit from my daughter.”

Sasha: “Well I’m here on business. Next year, big deal, Rise to Greatness XX. What do you think about returning to Toronto for it?”

Mr. D: “I love it! Would be great to return to the Skydom-“

Sasha: “Come on dad, you know it’s not called that anymore. It’s the Rogers Centre.”

Mr. D: “True, but when we were there for the first one, it was. You know what else happened since then.”

Sasha: “What?”

Mr. D: “Four different presidents of the United States. Yeah….several football scandals. Social Media became a thing. Facebook didn’t exist!”

Mr. D shakes his head.

Mr. D: “I remember making business deals over this MSN thing.”

Sasha: “Now we just text and have apps for that.”

Mr. D: “Back then, apps were what you had before dinner at a restaurant!”

Sasha: “I know, I know.”

Mr. D: “What a time it was. Back in 2004, the first Rise to Greatness. Steve Griffin versus CHBK. Jason Zero was then Lestat and officiating. Dean Black and Jay Gold hated each other. Mr. Showtime! Mono Loco! The Relentless!”

Sasha: “The formative years. And since then, the talent has just gotten bigger and better. Selena Frost, Syren, Adam Allocco, Owen Lee, Holly Adams, GiGi Aries-“

Mr. D: “Twenty years ago, he wasn’t a problem either!”

Sasha: “Well a lot has changed since then. Except one thing…”

Mr. D: “What’s that?”

Sasha: “SCW is still the symbol for the greatest wrestling in the world.”

Mr. D: “You know what else?”

Mr. D reaches into his desk and pulls out a bottle of rye and two glasses.

Mr. D: “We can toast to that!”

Mr. D pours some rye for both and we cut forward to them cheering to their success. The Rise to Greatness logo comes up on the screen.

“Rise to Greatness XX…July 2023…SCW returns home to Toronto!”

The logo remains on the screen for a bit longer before we cut back to the office. Sasha leans back in her chair.

Sasha: “There’s one other thing that’s changed, dad?”

Mr. D: “What’s that?”

Sasha: “Why are you in my office?”

Mr. D looks around and nods. He gets up and walks around as Sasha gets up and spins around to be on the other side. They swap places as the scene fades out.

Hairless Penguin vs. Owen Cruze

SCW World Championship

The crowd roars as jaunty and generic royalty free music begins to play throughout the arena. On the big screen, a unicorn gallops across a beautiful, flowery field, leaving petals exploding into the air underneath its hooves. It gets closer to the camera as it prepares to fly off, but not before evacuating its bowels, which take the form of letters in a bubble font, reading:

Lexy Chapel Presents 

HAPPY FARMSTEAD FRIENDS

From behind the curtain, Hairless Penguin, clad in his mask and a furry black and white coat that runs all the way to his feet, plus a moderately priced steel string guitar held over his shoulder. He looks around as he looks down at the ring. He takes a deep breath before starting to make his way down to the ring.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a sixty minute time limit and is for the SCW World Championship. First, on his way to the ring, the challenger, representing Lexy Chapel’s LexyCorp and the Happy Farmstead Friends, from the Happy Farmstead, he is the Hairless Penguin!”

Hairless Penguin makes his way up the steps and into the ring, holding his guitar into the air. Hairless Penguin hands his furry coat and guitar off to the timekeeper before taking his place in the corner. He then looks around and starts to pace, slapping himself in his mask as he looks around.

Sharper: “Penguin demanded Lexy Chapel remain backstage. Same with Dancing Bear. We’ve seen Penguin try to stand on his own, having his own way of doing things.”

Lyman: “Almost an honourable way of doing things. He wants to do it legit. He wants to face the best and step up. I don’t know if it’s legitimate desire to prove himself or something else.”

Sharper: “But he’s out here alone and that’s something.”

The opening rifts to The Black Adam Theme kick in, as mist fills the entranceway. The music stops, a huge explosion rocks the entranceway and Owen jumps, seemingly through the floor and landing on his feet, dropping to one knee and punching the floor. Owen gets to his feet, and looks left and right at the reaction he is getting, a look of focus and determination on his face as he takes in the crowd. The SCW World Championship sits around his waist.

Phillips: “His opponent, from Miami, Florida, he is the SCW World Champion, Owen Cruze!”

With real intensity, he begins the walk down to the ring, slapping the hand of anyone who offers, a laser show accompanying him alll the way to the bottom of the ramp before he then slides in and under the bottom rope, before standing in the middle of the ring his arms outstretched, beams of light focussing now on only him. Owen points to the turnbuckle and then runs towards it, bouncing on the middle ropes and back flipping backwards, landing on both feet. Owen pulls on the top rope a couple of time, applauding the fans as his music fades. He turns and hands off the World Championship to Aaron Demitra, the official for the match. Demitra holds the title the head as the SCW World Championship logo comes across the screen and fades in the bottom corner.

Sharper: “Owen Cruze about to make his first defense of the SCW World Championship. He’s hoping this is going to go better than last time.”

Lyman: “It’s one on one. But against someone who is hungry. As everyone should be when they challenge for this title.”

Sharper: “Penguin getting the popular vote. Time to see what he has.”

Demitra hands off the title. He steps back. He looks at Penguin and then to Cruze. He checks on both. The bell sounds. Cruze and Penguin circle the ring. They then lock up in the middle of the ring. They push back on one another before Cruze shoves Penguin back. Penguin rolls through. He looks up and slowly gets up. Cruze waits a moment before the two reset. They then lock up again in the middle of the ring. They push back on one another and Cruze moves into a side headlock. Penguin reaches around and pulls Cruze back to the ropes. He goes to fire him off, but Cruze holds on and falls to a knee. Penguin reaches around and keeps fighting as he gets up. Cruze hits a headlock takedown. Penguin counters with a headscissors. Cruze nips out. Both get up and Cruze moves back into a side headlock.

Sharper: “The speed showing itself there. As are the fundamentals.”

Lyman: “Penguin has improved month by month. But this is still a different level.”

Cruze pulls back as Penguin struggles a bit. Cruze walks around with him holding on. Penguin grimaces and then tries to lift Cruze up. Cruze holds on and drops down. He keeps pulling back. Cruze then turns and forearms him in the jaw. Penguin staggers. Cruze forearms him again. Penguin falls to a ropes. Cruze whips him into the ropes. Penguin bounces off and Cruze hits a hip toss. Penguin hits the mat. He gets up and turns and Cruze hits an arm drag, locking in an arm lock. Penguin reaches around and starts to slowly get up. Cruze holds on as Penguin gets up and Penguin reaches around as Cruze jerks on the arm. Penguin winces. Cruze turns and steps up and snapmares Penguin over and then locks in a reverse chinlock. He holds on and Penguin slowly starts to fight up.

Sharper: “Cruze just a step ahead. This is the experience playing a role.”

Lyman: “And Penguin may have wanted to give him a fight, but right now, he needs an answer first.”

Penguin gets up to his feet. Cruze hits a side headlock takedown.

Penguin kicks out. Both get up and Cruze kicks him in the ribs. He whips him into the corner. Cruze runs after and forearms Penguin in the jaw. Penguin staggers out and Cruze pushes him down. He goes for the pin.

Penguin kicks out. Both get up and Cruze hits a dropkick. He goes for another pin.

Penguin kicks out again. He rolls over and gets up, swinging wildly with a clothesline, but Cruze ducks. Penguin stops and turns and Cruze hits a dropkick, knocking Penguin back, knocking him to the floor. The crowd roars. (1) Penguin rolls over and starts to get up. Lexy Chapel, at this point, steps out from the back. She looks down, shaking her head and storming down to the ring. (2)

Sharper: “And that didn’t take long. Lexy Chapel has a vested interest in this one!”

Lyman: “And Penguin knows it. He’s already looking at her, disappointed.”

Penguin slowly gets up and looks over. Chapel steps to the ring. (3) She steps right past Penguin and goes to the ring. Owen walks around and Penguin turns and slides into the ring. He gets up and Owen steps up to him and nails him with a forearm shot and then another and another. Penguin falls back to the ropes. Owen backs up and nails him with a clothesline to the floor. Penguin rolls over. (1) Penguin looks up as Chapel looks at him and then turns to the ring and points at Demitra. Cruze backs up. (2) Penguin slowly gets up and looks around. He looks at the stage and then the crowd. (3) He takes a deep breath and turns and rolls into the ring again. Chapel continues to berate the official. He gets up and Cruze chops him. The crowd woos.

Sharper: “Penguin just still coming to the ring. Not stopping.”

Lyman: “No hesitation. Has to fight. Chapel still focusing on the officiating, this claim of a conspiracy!”

Sharper: “Penguin knows there’s no conspiracy. It’s all on him!”

Cruze chops him again. More woos. He whips Penguin across the ring. Penguin bounces off and Owen hits a back elbow. He hits the mat. Cruze goes for the pin.

Penguin kicks out. Owen rolls off. Penguin stirs and starts to get up and turns and Owen forearms him in the jaw. He whips him into the corner. Owen runs after and Penguin gets a boot up. Lexy turns and immediately cheers him on. Owen staggers back and Penguin runs out and clotheslines him down.

Sharper: “And big clothesline. Penguin fighting back.”

Lyman: “Knew he needed to hit something. He got Owen coming in and then that clothesline.”

Owen looks up and turns as Penguin starts to get up. Owen gets to his feet and Penguin nails him with a hard right and then a left before a kick to the ribs. He scoops Owen up and slams him down. Owen rolls over and gets up to his feet. Penguin grabs him and whips him into the corner. Penguin runs after and Owen gets an elbow up. Chapel throws his arms up as Penguin staggers back and Owen jumps to the middle rope and dives back with a twisting crossbody press into a pin.

Penguin kicks out. Both get up and Penguin turns to Owen. Owen hits an inverted atomic drop. Penguin grimaces in pain. Chapel points this out, but says nothing, realizing a DQ doesn’t help her client as Owen backs up to the ropes and runs forward and hits a spinning heel kick.

Sharper: “Owen just hitting fast paced offense. Spinning heel kick!”

Lyman: “The speed and agility is just another level.”

Owen goes for the pin.

Penguin kicks out. Owen looks over as Chapel jumps up in joy. Owen nods and grabs Penguin. He drags him up. Penguin staggers up and Owen nails him with a hard right. Penguin staggers. Owen nails him again before then grabbing him. He pulls him in and hooks him up for a suplex of some sort. He hoists him up, but Penguin spins through and lands behind Owen. He drops down into a roll-up.

Owen kicks out. Penguin falls forward. Owen gets up. Penguin turns and Owen runs at him and Penguin grabs him and throws him back, but Owen’s head goes between the ropes, while his body goes over the top and Owen ends up caught, ropes around his neck, in the ropes! The crowd roars. Penguin turns. Chapel runs around and points at him, taunting him.

Chapel: “Choke! Choke! Choke!”

Penguin gets up and goes to the ropes.

Sharper: “Oh no! Owen Cruze, wrapped up in the ropes. Neck caught!”

Lyman: “Lexy loves it! Owen may need to forfeit!”

Owen struggles before Penguin runs over and goes to help Owen. Chapel looks at him, confused, before Penguin pulls on the ropes and Owen drops down to the floor. He coughs a bit, walking around. (1) He looks around and winces. (2) He turns back to the ring only for Penguin to grab the top rope and hit a vaulting press onto the World Champion. The crowd roars. Penguin looks around as Owen turns. Penguin grabs him and pulls him up. (1) He then spins him around, ignoring Chapel, and rolls him into the ring. (2) Penguin slides in after. Cruze gets up and staggers forward. He turns around and Penguin runs at him and clotheslines him down. He turns and goes for the pin.

Cruze kicks out. Penguin looks up.

Sharper: “Only two! Penguin tried to drill him with a clothesline-“

Lyman: “Sorry, Sharper, but he’s going to need to do a lot more.”

Cruze stirs and starts to get up and Penguin nails him with a hard right. Cruze staggers. Penguin nails him again. He runs into the ropes. Penguin bounces off and Cruze sidesteps and runs Penguin in and rolls him up in an Okana roll.

Penguin kicks out. Owen stops himself at the ropes. Penguin gets up and runs at him and Owen lifts him up for a back drop, but stop and then jumps up and hits a pump kick to the jaw. Penguin falls to the mat. Owen turns and hits a jackknife pin.

Penguin bridges up! Owen looks up, a bit surprised as Penguin keeps up and spins around. Chapel also looks stunned before Penguin spins around and locks Owen’s arms. He then pulls him down and pulls him back with a backslide.

Cruze rolls through and kicks out.

Sharper: “Penguin nearly caught Cruze there!”

Lyman: “And Chapel’s still stunned Penguin bridged up as he did!”

Sharper: “But only two!”

Penguin nails Cruze with a hard right and then another. Cruze blocks a third shot and hits a jawbreaker. Penguin hits the mat. Cruze turns and moves to the corner. He climbs up to the top rope. He glances back and goes for a moonsault. Penguin moves. Cruze lands on his feet. Penguin gets up as Cruze steps forward and Penguin jumps up and rides Cruze down with a Meteora. The crowd ohs. Penguin turns and goes for the pin.

Cruze gets his shoulder up. Penguin rolls off. He looks around and moves to the corner. He exits to the apron and climbs to the top rope. Cruze slowly gets up and turns to Penguin who steadies himself and then dives off with a crossbody.

Sharper: “Off the top! Penguin going high-risk!”

Lyman: “Hoping to make sure he gets a good hit and he did!”

Sharper: “Into a cover!”

Cruze kicks out. Both get up and Penguin grabs Cruze and pulls his head between his legs. Cruze counters with a back drop. Penguin rolls over and stirs and gets up and turns as Cruze jumps up and hits a hurricanrana into a pin.

Penguin counters with a sunset flip pin.

Cruze kicks out. Both get up and Cruze drills Penguin with the superkick. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “Penguin walked into it! Hard superkick. Cruze got all of it.”

Lyman: “I don’t know how moral it is. But he got the Morality!”

Cruze turns and grabs Penguin’s leg and rolls through for the pin.

Penguin gets his shoulder up. Cruze rolls off. Penguin stirs as Chapel looks on and Cruze drags Penguin up. Cruze nails him with a hard right. Penguin stumbles back. Cruze nails him again. Penguin falls back into the corner. Cruze follows up with a shoulder to the ribs and then another and another before grabbing Penguin and placing him on the top rope. Cruze nails him with a hard right and then another and another before climbing to the middle turnbuckle. Penguin counters with a hard right and then another and another. Cruze falls back. He rolls back to the mat. Penguin gets up and turns and glances back before twisting and diving off with a Trust Fall onto Cruze!

Sharper: “Cruze! Taken down! Trust fall!”

Lyman: “The biggest Trust Fall in wrestling history!”

Penguin rolls through. Chapel points at Cruze. Penguin sees Cruze down and Penguin runs into the ropes, bouncing off and jumping up and hitting a running splash. He hooks the leg.

Cruze gets his shoulder up. Penguin rolls off. Cruze rolls over and stirs. Penguin gets up and turns and grabs him and takes him over with a small package!

Cruze kicks out. Both competitors gets up and Penguin nails him with a hard right before whipping him into the corner. Cruze hits hard chest first and staggers back. Penguin looks at him and then runs past, jumping to the middle rope and then the top rope and diving back with a Denver Diving Kick!

Sharper: “Shades of the original Hairless Penguin! Cid Turner!”

Lyman: “It’s not Cid?!”

Sharper: “Please don’t turn into Jon for this!”

Lyman: “Well!”

Sharper: “Cid and Penguin were seen earlier this year together!”

Penguin turns and hooks the leg.

Owen gets his shoulder up. Penguin rolls off. Chapel slaps the mat in anger. Penguin starts to get up. Cruze rolls over. Penguin jumps up and hits a leg drop to the back of his head. Cruze rolls to his back. Penguin goes for the pin.

Cruze gets his shoulder up. Penguin rolls off. Cruze stirs and starts to get up. Penguin turns to him and clubs him in the back once and then again. He then grabs him and whips him into the corner. Penguin runs after and nails him with a hard clothesline. Cruze falls to a seated position. Penguin staggers back and moves across the ring. He looks at Cruze and then sets himself up and runs across and runs at Cruze, going for the Ligma, but Cruze gets his boot up. The crowd ohs as Penguin falls back, holding himself in pain. Chapel immediately calls for retribution!

Sharper: “Oh! Penguin ran into it! Cruze got his foot up. It was a low blow, but all thanks to Penguin!”

Lyman: “No way to prevent it. Once it happened. You have to suffer through!”

Cruze slowly crawls out as Penguin holds himself in pain. He slowly gets up and Cruze grabs him and hooks him up and hits a huge back suplex. He turns and hooks the leg.

Penguin gets his shoulder up. He rolls over and reaches at the ropes. He starts to get up and Cruze gets up and clubs him once and then again and again before hooking him up and placing him on the top rope. The crowd roars. Cruze clubs him a couple more times before then getting up to the middle rope. He grabs Penguin and clubs him again for good measure. He looks around before hoisting him up and hitting a top rope back superplex. The crowd cheers as Penguin hits the mat and rolls through to his side. Cruze remains down as Chapel looks on concerned.

Sharper: “From the top! Back superplex! The Champion plants his challenger!”

Lyman: “While Lexy Chapel looks on, concerned. Her client not looking great right now!”

Cruze looks up and turns. He crawls over to Penguin and Penguin turns only for Cruze to grab him, but Penguin then counters with a small package!

Cruze just kicks out in time. The crowd ohs. Chapel throws her arms up before then stopping and looking at the official. Cruze turns and starts to get up and Penguin does too. Cruze kicks him in the ribs. Chapel spins around and runs around the ring, getting more active as Cruze hooks Penguin up. He hoists him up and goes for slingshot suplex, but Chapel grabs the leg. Cruze goes down. Penguin lands on top of Cruze. Demitra doesn’t see it!

Cruze just gets his shoulder up as Penguin wasn’t down flat. Penguin looks down and sees Chapel by his legs. Penguin motions for her to leave before Penguin gets up and turns as Cruze starts to get up. Penguin nails him with a couple of clubbing blows.

Sharper: “Chapel getting in. Trying to steal the title. Penguin trying to get her away.”

Lyman: “Penguin wants to this straight up. No controversy!”

Cruze shoves Penguin back. He bounces off the ropes and Cruze jumps up and hits a spinning heel kick. Penguin hits the mat and slowly gets up. Cruze hooks him up and hits a northern lights suplex into a bridge.

Penguin kicks out. Cruze rolls over. Penguin starts to get up and Cruze turns and Penguin runs at him and Cruze lifts him up and Penguin jumps up and lands on the middle rope. Cruze turns and runs over to him and grabs him from behind. He clubs him in the back. Penguin elbows him. Cruze clubs him again and Penguin nails him again before Cruze hoists Penguin, but Penguin shifts and both fall back. Penguin lands hard on the upper body and head of Cruze, right next to the ropes.

Cruze places his foot on the ropes. Chapel runs over and shoves it off as Penguin turns and sees this.

The crowd roars as Penguin rolls off. He then looks down. Demitra calls for the bell. Penguin however starts to wave it off. Chapel ignores this, jumping up and down and running for the title. She grabs it, hugging it, and spinning around and around with it.

Sharper: “Chapel pushed Cruze’s leg off! We saw it! Penguin I think so it! He’s waving it off!”

Lyman: “Pulling a Cale Makar!”

Sharper: “Chapel is celebrating! Demitra called for the bell!”

Cruze rolls over, wincing as Penguin keeps trying to plead his case. Phillips stands up.

Phillips: “Fans, here is-“

Phillips stops as we see the timekeeper stopping him. Demitra touches his earpiece. He then drops down to the floor. Chapel keeps celebrating. Demitra goes over to Phillips and the timekeeper. We see in the corporate box, Mr. D calming someone down, as he’s on the phone.

Phillips: “Fans…by order of the Board of Directors, as Cruze’s foot was on the bottom rope and missed by the official thanks to interference, they are demanding this match be restarted!”

Sharper: “Well it’s the right call!”

Lyman: “It is! But it’s adding to the controversy coming from this event. What about other calls in the past?!”

Sharper: “They’re here. That may be the difference. It appears that Mr. D called into the production truck outright.”

Lyman: “Talk about setting a precedent-“

Chapel turns.

Chapel: “No! We won! He won!”

Penguin: “Lexy-“

Chapel: “I have this Penguin! This is ridiculous! NOW THEY’RE OPENLY STOPPING HIM FROM HIS BIRTHRIGHT! HIS PENGUIN BIRTHRIGHT!”

Penguin turns as Demitra calls for the bell to start it off again. The bell sounds. Cruze gets up and Penguin runs at him and clubs him in the back once and then again. He scoops him up and slams him down. Penguin turns and exits to the apron. He climbs up to the top rope. Cruze remains down and he goes for the Plunging Penguin Press. Cruze gets his knees up. The crowd ohs. Penguin rolls forward. He holds his ribs. Chapel keeps yelling as Cruze turns and walks over to Penguin and kicks him in the ribs. He runs into the ropes and goes for the Cruze Stomp, but Penguin falls over. He grabs at the ropes and turns as Cruze grabs him and Penguin goes for Balls Deep again, but pulls him into the ropes. Demitra doesn’t count as they roll along the ropes before he lets go and both back away. They get up and Penguin swings, but Cruze grabs his arm and twists under before holding it up and hitting the ODE. The crowd ohs. Cruze drops on top of him. Chapel continues to hold onto the title as Cruze covers.

Sharper: “ODE! Cruze twisting into the ODE!”

Lyman: “And Chapel has not put down the World Title!”

Chapel looks on stunned.

The bell sounds. The crowd roars as Cruze falls back and turns. He turns back to Penguin and taps him on the stomach. He then turns and slowly gets up.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, and STILL SCW World Champion, Owen Cruze!”

Sharper: “Cruze showing why he’s the champion. Resetting after that troubling moment. Penguin didn’t hold up.”

Lyman: “Credit to him. He didn’t stop. He knew he didn’t win. And he didn’t rest. Heart of a champion there. And yet just didn’t work out. Now get that title to Owen!”

Sharper: “Chapel still holding the title. Demitra trying to get it from her.”

Chapel looks around.

Chapel: “No! NO! It’s his! It’s LexyCorp’s! HE WON!”

Chapel turns and bolts. She goes to run to the crowd, but a security guard stops her. She turns and runs along the ringside area and jumps over the barricade, falling to the ground. She then starts to run off again as Chapel clutches the title. She bolts through the crowd. Cruze looks up and watches as Penguin turns, realizing his failure and looks down. Dancing Bear then comes out on the stage before then trying to run along the stage to catch up with Dancing Bear. Cruze watches as Chapel disappears into one of the breezeways, holding onto the SCW World Championship as the scene fades to black…
