  EMERGExtra - W/ Kali
Posted by: thisisemerge - 09-26-2019, 08:37 AM - Forum: Emerge Extra - No Replies

Hello, and Good Morning… and welcome to another special edition of EMERGExtra. A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to sit down with one of the more ‘unusual’ members of the EMERGE roster, Kali, a couple of days after her EMERGE Championship match with Willow Wilkes. What happened was weird, enlightening and funny, all at the same time, and left me with no doubt that she is exactly what you see on the tin. Enjoy…

===========

SG: Kali, first of all welcome and thank you for joining me today

Kali: Hehehe...thank YOU for having comfy chairs!

SG: First question Kali, tell the EMERGE viewers a little about yourself growing up, and how you got into this business?

Kali: Ohhh.. big question right off the bat! That's a weird saying, isn't it? "Right off the bat"? What would the question be if we were ON the bat? What was the question again? RIGHT! Me... Mommy was a member of... I guess you would call it a "cult" but I wouldn't really see it that way. It was a community of survivors. Mommy had to survive a LOT of bad things from Daddy... and eventually, she didn't. It was a sad day, but I survived. Boy DID I survive! I learned how to fight. I followed our leader into "THIS BUSINESS" and when he ABANDONED me, I came here.

SG: Kali, you entered the world of EMERGE with a bang, winning the Battle Royal at Invasion which got you a title shot of your choosing. First of all, can you explain how you ended up taking part?

Kali: I saw the invitation just hanging around there... no one around to take it. So I took it. I got a camera and sent a message... hitchhiked to the ship. Do you know how HARD it is to get onto a boat that had already set sail?

SG: And winning, was that a surprise considering what was a very talented field?

Kali: Sallie... I don't let AAAAAAAAAAAANYTHING surprise me anymore.

SG: Of course, we now know what even though you had a chance at any title, you chose the EMERGE Championship, knowing that you would face Willow Wilkes. Why did you come to that decision, to jump straight ahead for the top title and especially considering perhaps one of the most dominant women in wrestling right now holds that title?

Kali: Why would I do anything else? I'm not a PLANNER, Sallie. I don't sit at home watching tapes or THINKING about what I'm going to do... I just DO them, and Willy had... HAS... the shiniest trinket of them all. It was ALWAYS going to be the EMERGE Championship. I'm not the type to dip my toe in... go for the lower prize. When I see something, I go all in.

SG: You lost that match, but received a lot of plaudits for your performance, having the champion on the ropes. Do you feel there is anything you could have done differently?

Kali: Stop trying to pin... just keep trying to maim.

SG: Any regrets now after making that decision?

Kali: Part of the whole thing of going ALL IN is accepting the results of ALL IN. If I had any regrets, it would be EXACTLY opposite of who I am and what I believe in. I have no regrets... you said it yourself. I had Willy on the ropes... pushed to the brink. Had she slipped for ONE SECOND at the end there, she wouldn't have been able to CLAMP my FACE with Willow's Wisp. If she doesn't have the presence of mind to do that... there'd be a shiny in my hands right now.

SG: So, now you have pretty much a clean slate… some might say you have to begin again at the bottom. What’s next for Kali?

Kali: Hehehe... it's funny how many people want me to go to the bottom... to fight through everyone. It's almost like they HAVEN'T been paying ATTENTION. Putting me in a position where I have to go through EVERYONE to get back in the conversation for the Championship is detrimental to their health.

SG: And of course, you could once again compete for the EMERGE Championship if you and your partners claim a place in the Pyramid?

Kali: Hehehehe… Pyramids are fun.

SG: One of your partners is of course Aubrianna Powers. You call your relationship the Most Valuable Friendship… why is that?

Kali: Because it IS! Aubrey was there for me when everything went to SHIT in the community. In a sense, she SAVED me.

SG: Do you think that bond would serve you well should you ever get a chance at the EMERGE Tag Team Championship?

Kali: I would be willing to slaughter whoever stood in our path to get Aubrey some shiny to... the idea of being Tag Team Champions is simply DELECTABLE.

SG: And what about Jennifer Helms, your other partner… what are your feelings towards her?

Kali: Helms... Helms... oh I know the name well! I have seen the name through the OtHeR cOmPaNy raise to prominence, though I don't think they like me very much. At least Regan doesn't... Street/Damian things... it's a WEE BIT of a mess, if you know what I mean. Jenni knows what she does well and, as long as she doesn't get the Street urge to bludgeon me into a pulp, we should be fine.

SG: And if you make it through the semi and finals, you three will face Willow Wilkes for the EMERGE Championship. You’ll have to fight Aubrianna then… do you think you will be able to do that?

Kali: We are PROFESSIONALS... que sera sera, whatever will be will be...

SG: And do you think Aubrianna feels the same?

Kali: The future is ours, you see... que sera sera. Aubrey comes from a WRESTLING FAMILY too... she KNOWS the ins and outs of THIS BUSINESS better than most. She knows than when the top shiny is dangled in front of you, you do what it takes to take it. Aubrey feels the same.

SG: OK, so let’s say you win the EMERGE Championship, and you are top of the pile. What kind of champion would you be?

Kali: Do you watch The Good Place? Especially season two when we KNEW the spoilery things we now know about it, but there was STILL this idea that it was "Good"? Nothing like that. At all...

SG: Currently, EMERGE is embroiled in this ‘war’ between the Coalition, Unforgiven and a resistance coming together on behalf of the company. At the moment it seems like you have stayed out of it, but will you ever join the fight?

Kali: Stayed out of it... but I'm right in the middle of it without them even knowing! I may not have WON my match with Willy... but make no mistake. Behind her bravado, behind her funny little JIFFS and side comments coupled with her THREATS she KNOWS that there IS, in fact, a wrench hanging out just WAITING to wedge itself into her fun little PLANS. And everyone else should take stock of that too... all the PLANS of people trying to push towards whatever AGENDA they have... pay attention to the wild cards. Because it's the wild cards that will FINISH the story in ways the PLANS cannot comprehend.

SG: You certainly don’t seem to scare easily… is there anything that you are scared of?

Kali: There is... but why would I mention it in a public interview? SO the PLANNERS can go ahead and find ways to MANIFEST those fears into ways to HURT me... to HURT Aubrey... to put me DOWN?

SG: OK Kali, we are nearing the end of the interview now, and with all this interviews I’m going to end it with questions to give the fans a better ideas of who you are. Cool?

Kali: FIRE AWAY!

SG: Favorite wrestler… you can’t say Aubrianna that’s too obvious.

Kali: Mary. Beth. Mallory.

SG: If you weren’t a wrestler what would you be?

Kali: Hehehehe… probably in a circus somewhere. Maybe the fire-eater... or the sword swallower. OH OH! TRAPEZE ARTIST!

SG: What is your favorite color and why?

Kali: Red... I have many PLEASANT memories seeing red.

SG: What kind of music do you like to listen to?

Kali: It's a mix of hardcore thrash and folksy. You probably haven't heard of it.

SG: Do you watch any other sports? If so which, and who is your favorite team?

Kali: I like watching people throw things... shot put. Javelin. Lawn darts.

SG: And finally, if you were an animal, which animal would you be?

Kali: I've already used the "dog after a car" analogy... it ended up in a movie too, though I can't remember which one. So I'd say... goose. Seemingly harmless, but get too close and I WILL chew someone's face off!

SG: And on that note, thank you Kali for your time, and good luck at EMERGE #29 and going forwards. Final word, is there anything you would like to say to EMERGE and indeed your fans?

Kali: Punisher: War Zone is an underrated movie. "Frank... there's brains on my shoe!" Hehehehehe…. best ending line in a long time. Oh... and if you THINK that I'm going to go away after last Invasion, you should PROBABLY just stop thinking altogether, because the thinking you DO isn't that good. The kids would call that a PRO TIP! Um... what else? Danny Darko, welcome back... I'm saddened that you took the ability to take some Jason King teeth away from me. And ThE pReSiDeNt should probably get himself on the next plane to Russia if he wants to avoid any sorts of bad things. Code Red Mountain Dew is the best Mountain Dew. OH!! And Kimmi is a cow!

==============

I’m sure you will agree with me, a few surprising answers there and a unique insight into what makes Kali tick. I actually do wish her well in EMERGE because I feel that in this times, we need someone like her around. Join me next time on our next special when I will be talking to one of the newest additions to the EMERGE roster Jake Shelley… till then, goodbye.

Konrad discussing about his dad to his twin brother
Posted by: Konrad Raab - 09-25-2019, 06:20 PM - Forum: Character Development - No Replies

OOC: This is a complete full write up I've done today as I wanted to do this CD scene in my PPV RP, but seeing I had no time to write it with two other RP's I had to do over that weekend, it didn't get included and wrote it here instead, although it would've been a lot better than this, it gives you guys and even Olek a rough idea what the discussion would've looked like. Enjoy the read.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Family father discovery discussions. Baltimore, Maryland. Saturday 21st September.

It's been a while the last time both Konrad and Markus met up, but both have matches in Baltimore, Maryland this weekend or Monday in Markus's case so it would make sense for them to meet and live in the headquarters.

The headquarters was mostly for The Monstimals, but because Konrad was family, he along with Jake and his other tag partner had their apartments to live in the headquarters. While Samuel and Fizz go out for a drink together somewhere, Markus and Konrad were alone in Markus's apartment, sitting in the living room by themselves on the armchairs, opposite to each other. Markus after the text he received from Konrad was concerning.

Of course, the text regarding them meeting up and Konrad asking to meet Markus up at some point was good, the meet up in Baltimore, Maryland for the quest of living in the headquarters was good, but the part about he needed to talk about something severe was not. Markus starts to talk to Konrad.

Markus Raab: "What's the problem? Is it about Fizz?"

Konrad Raab: "No, and if it were about Fizz, she'd be here instead of with Samuel."

Markus Raab: "That's true. Then what's the problem."

Konrad Raab: "Our dad."

Markus Raab: "Look, I know you're upset he's dead, but we can't do anything to bring him back."

Konrad Raab: "I don't want him brought back; I'm glad he's dead."

Markus took a step back a bit. What was Konrad thinking to say the stuff he did just now to his brother? Markus got angry, and he shouts at Konrad.

Markus Raab: "Don't you dare say that shit about your dad."

Konrad Raab: "Oh, how about the fact he used to beat me up nearly every single day? How about the fact he only sent me to the army so that I get the shit kicked out of me? What about Luca's dad being friends with our dad and nearly killed me at Taking Hold Of The Flame PPV? What about when he didn't want me to fight to defend myself because he enjoyed seeing me suffer? Yeah, he was such a great dad, alright."

It left Markus in a complete shock; he had no idea that their dad Jens was a nasty as he for the first time, places his hand over his mouth. It was no wonder why Konrad wanted to talk alone in their apartment. Even Markus shook his head with a comment saying this.

Markus Raab: "Wow, I can't believe he would do a thing like that. Who told you?"

Konrad Raab: "A doctor we used to see when we were kids who's now a mental health doctor known as Doctor Schneider."

Markus Raab: "I never thought he'd still be doing this job, seems like he's come this far to improve a lot then."

Konrad Raab: "Yeah, pretty shocked myself. I don't understand why our mum wouldn't tell me this. He also said that my mum knew about the Dissociative Identity Disorder diagnoses I had at eight years old. All the information is there; my mum told the doctor everything when I was a kid and teenager. I got to be honest; I'm finding it so difficult to cope."

Markus Raab: "No wonder. It sounded like he didn't want you in our lives and wanted me."

Konrad Raab: "That's what Schneider said. He said our dad didn't treat you like shit because you were able to defend yourself and wanted you to learn how to fight. He hid all of this from me for many years because I was too young to understand at the time and that my mum feared I wouldn't have coped. He phoned my mum up as to why and said he's not hiding anything from me anymore."

Markus couldn't believe he heard this from Konrad, all this before their Underground rules and six-person tag match tomorrow and Monday. Konrad had been busy and although Markus only found out about Konrad meeting with people because of the Outlast tournament a day after the match against Casterillo, especially being the captain as well only gives him even more work, after asking Konrad why he didn't come to Markus straight away.

Markus Raab: "I think personally for me, you move on by not treat one of your kids better than the other. You cope by moving on and do the best job you can for your kids, well your nephews as well."

Konrad Raab: "Yeah, that's what he said."

Markus Raab: "Talking to someone about it will also help as well. It's hard for you to cope as I'd be even more pissed if it were me, but I know my anger comes from our dad."

Konrad Raab: "Problem is my addiction to alcohol at times also came from our dad too. He was an alcoholic and got drunk a lot, according to Schneider."

Markus Raab: "I didn't know about our dad beating the shit out of you, on top of everything you said, but he did act fucking mental at times. I wonder if he beat our mum?"

Konrad Raab: "Yes, when she tried to stop dad from beating on me. She tried everything, but our dad was too strong for her and ended up beating her because our mum tried to stop dad beating on me, making me suffer."

Markus nodded, for the first time in his life, even he had to get angry because of the story Konrad told him. Markus said this while Konrad drinks half of the water in the cup.

Markus Raab: "It's also clear we were forced to be close brothers back in two thousand and sixteen because of our mum didn't want either of us to go down the path of dad."

Konrad Raab: "Yeah, now it's clear to us. Right now, preventing to hit someone is not easy anymore, but at least I can use the Casterillo match to strike him with a weapon as if he was my dad."

Markus Raab: "That's exactly how you'd cope with it also. When you fought Damian Angel, you were a fucking maniac. I saw things in that match I never thought you were capable of. I guess you were letting everything out on him and potentially Casterillo tomorrow will help things farther."

Konrad Raab: "It will, indeed. So who are you and Samuel facing and who's the other tag partner?"

Markus Raab: "We're facing against Myra Lynwood, Jack Michaels and Ken Davison. The tag partner, he's new to The Monstimals since two thousand and fifteen, someone I thought I'd never say to you because he feels your pathetic and weak, although I'm trying to get him to stop doing that shit and protect you all the time when he bad mouths you. It's an overweight guy named Kieran Overton."

Konrad nodded, although he says this.

Konrad Raab: "I never knew he was apart of The Monstimals, although I can't say I've heard of him."

Markus Raab: "That's because I've kept his name away from you due to his comments about you. You think I'm a horrible bastard; he's ten times worse. He doesn't show respect to anyone, as proven with his comments made about you and everyone else around him. He trash talks non-stop, and I feel he's better at it than I am. I know you'd ask why I put up with him, he's a good wrestler, I can't deny that, but we get along regarding business about wrestling. That's it, any other time, he can fuck off."

Konrad Raab: "I wouldn't want anybody that bad in my life and be opinionated with him big time, so it's wise I don't ever want to meet with the guy."

Markus Raab: "I told him, if he comes anywhere near you, talking shit to you and you tell me about it, I'll knock his ass out. He's in a different apartment with his friends this weekend and told him not to come anywhere near us."

It was clear to Konrad that even Markus was protecting Konrad from getting abuse from Kieran. Eventually, Markus gets back to the topic of dad.

Markus Raab: "If I also knew about this, I'd want him dead too, especially after what happened with you know what which I can't even say because society doesn't fucking accept it. Anyway, you should always tell me things like this right away."

Konrad Raab: "It's not something I'd talk about on the phone, especially I don't know if Drexel, the guy who's Luca's friend living in California, same state and same area as me would track the phone calls. He's trying to track my kids down. Now, we don't feel safe, and Fizz's organised us living in Portland, Maine, the safest state in America with our house in the process of being built at the moment. I even arranged for them to have another set of houses nearby for you and Samuel to live together and Jake by himself too."

Markus Raab: "That's great, always a good idea to get out of the California state if you don't feel safe. Did I tell you I'm being inducted in the Sin City Wrestling Hall Of Fame?"

Konrad Raab: "Yeah, I'm so proud of you, Markus. You deserve to be there. What a present to receive on our birthday though. Of course, I'm going to be there and support you, even if it means taking a flight straight after you're inducted in Hall Of Fame. It looks like your hard work has paid off."

Markus Raab: "Seems like it and I thought I'd never get in, despite the shit I did in Sin City Wrestling, but they are taking my achievements for granted. Henry is inducting me into it as he knows more about me than anyone. He found out before I did, just a couple of weeks ago actually."

Right at that moment when they were just about to finish up talking, Fizz and Samuel came back to get used to one another since Fizz, nor Samuel ever really engaged with one another by themselves. Samuel put his thumbs up to say it went well and wrote a question down to both Markus and Konrad as Markus says this as Samuel and Fizz sit next to their loved ones with Fizz and Samuel giving Konrad and Markus a kiss on their cheek.

Markus Raab: "Yes, we've finished the severe discussion we needed to do. With Konrad's permission, do you mind me telling Samuel what you told me?"

Konrad Raab: "Considering he's your husband and him being apart of our family, of course not. He has the right to know about our dad, which I'm sure you've not spoken much about to Samuel."

Markus Raab: "To be honest, no, I haven't. I'll talk to you tonight about it, Sam."

Samuel McPherson: "Yaarrp."

They spent time as a family they were, even if Henry got involved a couple of times they were still spending time with the family as they played board games, video games and also watched a movie together before Fizz and Konrad went back to the luxury apartment that was for them, while Markus and Samuel went to bed together and fell asleep after Markus talked to Samuel about his dad and what he used to do to Konrad.

  EMERGExtra
Posted by: thisisemerge - 09-25-2019, 06:53 AM - Forum: Emerge Extra - No Replies

Hi Good Morning, I’m Sallie Graham, and this is the latest edition of EMERGExtra. Bringing you the latest news and happenings on the EMERGE brand.

First of all, it would be remiss of me to not talk about the one subject that has gotten everyone talking. I know the higher ups won’t like it, but let’s talk about the new owners of EMERGE. Now although a lot of credit needs to be given with regards to how secretive the whole thing was kept, once we had our answers there is no doubting the reasons why it was kept under wraps. Since the announcement was made, the outpouring of emotion has been obvious. Silas Mason and Aiken Frost were NOT the right people according to a large majority of EMERGE sources, and not only that, people have certainly take exception to Drew Bryant’s new attitude.

Now, it’s undoubtable, the financial future of the company is secure. But at what cost? Silas is well known for just thinking about the morning, and no person alive knows what Aiken is thinking. But with them holding a joint percentage of 50%, is Drew even in control anymore, and is this partnership going to prove his downfall? Fact is, no one knows what is going on behind the scenes, but if what is going on in the ring is any indication, the future of EMERGE is a lot less secure then when it was under the SCW umbrella. And the fact that those that were campaigning for the change have now changed their minds says an awful lot in my opinion. Maybe we are worrying about nothing, but with Season 2 coming to a close, is Season 3 going to be more of the same as what we have seen recently? I certainly hope not.

Now, I might not have liked the guy, but there is a lot of concern right now regarding the whereabouts of Dexter Schmidt, who was last seen being carried away by Sundown at the end of Invasion. Nothing has been heard from him since, and if the rumor mill is to be believed, the police are involved and are currently investigating. Now, I know a lot of people will be quick to point the finger at Cindy Todd, or indeed Sundown, but from my interview with her last month, I honestly cannot believe that either would go so far as to be involved in this. In fact, it’s more than likely Dexter is just holed up somewhere licking his wounds, embarrassed to show his face. Needless to say, a lot of people are keeping a close eye on this, and I’m sure we will hear more in the coming days.

Another interesting thing I found out over the past few days, is regarding to Season 3, and the future (if we have one) of EMERGE. Now, as revealed by Drew in my interview with him, Drew was looking into the possibility of firstly, bringing the UWA name back, and resurrecting the brand, but was also in talks with the current owners of the Uprising Network Arena in Winchester. The camera was cut before Aiken and Silas’s thoughts were heard, so I thought I would do a little digging into the current situation. First of all, the lease with SCW for the current EMERGE arena has yet to be renewed, which points to the company definitely moving. However, all records show that ownership of the Uprising Network Arena has not been transferred as yet. Of course, there is plenty of time yet, but after the comments of at least two of the Coalition, is this still going to happen and has Drew’s first major decision been overruled?

Another interesting development is regarding the Unforgiven, and what seemed like a throwaway comments on Social Media, but which could hold some substance. As you will be aware, Frankie Paradise was supposed to be fighting Sundown on the next EMERGE, a match that Benjamin Flynn, the new GM swiftly cancelled. Within minutes however, a new match was made to take place at EMERGE #30, Frankie now facing Cindy Todd. A match we are being led to believe was made by the Roster Liason, at the request of the Coalition. Does this mean that Unforgiven does actually have ‘friends in high places’ and is the Coalition actually allowing them to bully the roster in this way? Could this even be Cindy Todd’s grand design? And is Aiken Frost and Silas Mason not as ‘accidental’ as it might seem. Let’s put it this way, I have a very good source that tells me that there was an even bigger offer from another party that was ignored by Drew Bryant in favor of Silas and Aiken. Perhaps this was the plan all along?

Tommy Wasley certainly seems to think so, and he more than anyone else has drawn a line in the sand, and took a stand. In a very brave move, he has been letting anyone that will listen know that enough is enough, and he won’t let the Unforgiven get away with this. Will he get the backing his needs, because he can’t do it alone? I’m hearing that a fair few of the roster are pinning their colors to the mast, and the ‘Resistance’ will become a lot clearer on the next EMERGE. Let’s put it this way, six months ago would you have pegged Tommy has a hero? I think not. I think a few surprising people are going to stand up against Unforgiven and The Coalition, to give this company hope.

One such person that will be front and center is Danny Darko, who made a statement by returning at Invasion, and putting Jason King out of commission for the foreseeable future. Now, although I don’t condone Danny’s actions, I do understand them after what happened to his wife. King’s condition at the moment hasn’t been released, other than there is no date for his EMERGE return. Should Danny Darko really be poking Willow Wilkes with a stick by injuring her husband? Fact is, I’m not sure Danny cares less, and it will be interesting to see how this all pans out.

Looking towards the end of the year, it was announced that four teams of three would compete for the right to challenge Willow Wilkes for the EMERGE Championship, but not in any old situation. No, we were going to witness the return of the Pyramid, one of the most stand out matches of the old UWA. To those that are unaware, this match consists of One pyramid, four parts… the aim of the match to climb through each section and reach the top where the title belt will be hanging. Each section having a trapdoor which must be opened for anyone to advance. Personally, I can’t wait to see who will compete, but Willow Wilkes certainly didn’t seem concerned when the match was announced. That match takes place on EMERGE #31 which is now the final Invasion of the year.

That’s because it was also announced that the final show of the year will now be the Ricky Octavius Memorial, where 32 competitors will compete for the grand prize of $250000. Many wrestlers have already been confirmed for that match, including most of the EMERGE roster, as well as AJ Helms, Peyton Rice and Alistair Taylor. Also rumored to be competing is Christian Cannon, who if true will compete in his first professional match at that event, as well as Owen Cruze. Signups are still ongoing, so the field could change, but regardless that promises to be an amazing, yet emotional event. Bit of further news on that, the first two rounds will take place on a preshow, hosted by me, ahead of the main event itself. The round of eight, four and the finals will then make up the penultimate show of the year.

Penultimate, because the final show, to take place on the 16th of December, will be the very first EMERGE awards ceremony, which will be held in the EMERGE arena on that date, hosted by none other than our announce team, Grace Morningwood and Mitch Sanders. No news on what those awards will be as yet, but an announcement is expected on EMERGE #30

Over the past few months, the tag team division has been regarded as potentially a weak link, with really only three teams competing for a belt that was once held in the highest regards. There is no doubt that Moustache Ride becoming the champions has regenerated the buzz with the fans, but what about everyone else? Well, although it was rumored that Tombstone were about to be released, that has been dismissed as untrue. The Newmans have been pacified by finally getting their shot at EMERGE #29, and I’m being told that Invasion: Munich, it has already been announced that Moustache Ride, The Newmans, and Tombstone will face off in a Tornado Tag Match, within the confines of a steel cage, the first person from any team to escape the cage, OVER THE TOP, no door to escape from in this one, becoming or retaining the tag team championships, no pins, no submissions and no DQ. Steel Cage and the Pyramid in one show… that’s right people. Finally with regards to the tag team division, there are at least FOUR tag teams about to enter the fray, none of them confirmed as yet except the Violent Gentlemen Prestige who WILL return at the end of October.

But of course, no roster can survive without it’s injection of fresh faces, and just recently, EMERGE has been blessed with the appearance of some pretty special talents. First of all Jake Shelley has arrived, and is already a lot of noise against Unforgiven. Sierra Swann, sister of Sienna has arrived and if she has half the ability of her sister, could make quite an impact. Aubrianna Powers has arrived with already a massive reputation, and could be one to watch for the future, especially as she has been teamed with Jennifer Helms and Kali, and finally… as mentioned earlier, Danny Darko has signed, and if he can find anything like his former self, he would be quite an addition to the roster. Yes, a lot of people might be getting on his case of late, but are these signings, and the shows EMERGE is putting up justification that Drew was right?

On that bombshell, that’s it from me. Make sure you tune in to EMERGE #29 and see which two teams advance through, one step closer to the Pyramid, and who leaves as the tag team champions.

  LOA
Posted by: Simple77 - 09-24-2019, 10:49 AM - Forum: LOA - No Replies

Yes, in LOA is in order here.

I have done a lot of thinking the past couple days, thinking while trying to get work done. The problem is that I have come to realize that while I can say that I will be fine when this class has ended, I really don't know if that is the case, because I never know what my next classes are going to require me to do. So, I have this situation where I love this game, I love the people I play it with, but I just don't know how much longer I can hold on this way, and when I say can I really ought to say should. Because if Olek keeps finding ways to get me onto cards and I literally dont have the time to participate, that means he is wasting his time then, and Olek doesn’t have any time at all, let alone time to waste. It is a problem, and there is a big chance that it is a problem that is going to get worse, not better. So, that is where I am at, unfortunately

I keep thinking to myself, I just have to find a way to balance all of it, and it will be alright.

But right now, there is no balance. I am working 14-16 hours a day to get my assignments done for school, because I can only type half as fast as other students. That's not making excuses, that is a fact right now. I wish I would have put this much energy into the game before the stroke, because I can tell you right now, it is there, all of it. I have so many ideas, for Kelsai, for Kellen, for Gracie, for new characters no one has heard of yet. I wish I wasn't so damn lazy before the stroke.  Because now I have so much to contribute to the game, I just don't have the time. I wish I did. At the end of the day though, this is a game, a beautiful, wonderful game. School is my LIFE, and it has to come first. There is no alternative there.

I’m taking a LOA, effective immediately and it will run until November 18th. That gives me 8 weeks to try and figure out things going forward. If I need to be out longer, I will let everyone know then. Thank you.

  Las Bandidas de Gata Negra
Posted by: Ruby - 09-23-2019, 01:06 PM - Forum: Inactive - No Replies

Tag Team Name: Las Bandidas de Gata Negra (english translation: The Black Cat Bandits)

Members: Valeria Garcia and Maria Vencejo

Combined Weight: 240 lbs.

Alignment: Tweener (lean more towards heel though)

Theme Song: Nada Como Tú by WarCry

Entrance: The lights dim a bit as Nada Como Tú begins to play, a bit of fog slowly beginning to form on the stage as golden orange lights pulse in rhythm with the guitars. Slowly, we see a figure crawling through it, almost like a cat trying to remain hidden before it pounces on its prey. When the main beat of the song kicks in, the figure picks up the pace until she reaches the end of the stage, crouching as she's far enough away from the fog to reveal herself to be Maria Vencejo. Not too far behind her is  Valeria Garcia,  her eyes slowly roaming over the fans with a cold, emotionless look. She looks down at Maria and a smile actually forms on her lips as she reaches down and helps her partner to a stand as the lyrics begin. The two of them begin making their way down to the ring, Maria staying ahead of Valeria and moving quicker as though she were energized by the song while Valeria maintains her slow, calculating approach. Maria slides into the ring before rolling into a kip-up, and Valeria slides in right behind her, pausing as she and Maria smile at one another before Maria helps her partner to her feet before twisting her around so the two are both facing the same way, Valeria in front of Maria. The two slowly back into their corner like this before separating to discuss strategy.

Primary Finisher: Cama de Gata (english translation: Cat's Cradle)

Finisher Description: Garra de Gata (Maria)/Backstabber (Valeria) combination

Secondary Finisher: Momento Cumbre (english translation: Peak Moment)

Finisher Description: *Spinning Legsweep (Valeria)/Spinning Heel Kick (Maria) combination

*While this might seem like Valeria (Ruby) utilizing a late shot of sorts at the Truelove Twins and their Twin Killing finisher or even Zero Fucks To Give and their Wedded Bliss finisher (itself a shot at the Trueloves) in her and Maria's tandem offense (and commentators are free to point out such a possibility if they want), this is actually more of an homage to the Red Empire's Crowning Moment finisher (the name is even a close translation in spanish) except using the more traditional high and low attack as opposed to the Red Empire's variation that had Scarlet using a big boot instead of a spinning heel kick. The reason this is a secondary team finisher is out of respect for Scarlet and the memory of the Red Empire, so it won't see as much use in a match as the Cama de Gata might, though it can still come from out of nowhere to end a match if need be.

Signature Moves: Crimson Sunset, Fatal Landing, Emboscada (english translation: Ambush), Puente Chiapas (english translation: Chiapas Bridge)

Signature Moves Descriptions (If Needed): Valeria slingshots herself over the top rope to attempt a sunset flip powerbomb to an opponent off the apron and Maria dropkicks them to knock them off an into the powerbomb onto the floor, Belly-to-Back Suplex (Valeria)/Diving Leg Drop (Maria) combination, Ladrón en la Noche (Maria)/Sliding Forearm Smash to the back of the head (Valeria) combination, Maria holds an opponent in an inverted facelock as though she were planning to deliver the Mala Suerte but instead Valeria leaps from the top rope and drives the bending opponent into the mat with the Ruby Slippers

Biography: Maria Vencejo is a new addition to the SCW roster, presumably due to her connection with  Valeria Garcia, who herself is a mystery to fans due to the fact that prior to an old ankle injury plaguing her once again in the wake of Rise to Greatness 2019, she was competing as Ruby Amarant and one half of the Red Empire. No one knows why she's returned with a new name and appearance as well as a brand new partner, but one thing's for sure: Valeria and Maria fully trust and understand one another to a degree that even seems to exceed that of the Red Empire, and between Valeria's intelligence and experience and Maria's blinding speed on top of her own “street smarts” the tandem known as the Bandidas de Gata Negra may prove to be far more formidable than the Red Empire used to be.

  Maria Vencejo

PERSONAL INFORMATION
-------------------------------------------------
Wrestler's Alias: Maria Vencejo
Wrestler's Real Name: Maria Vencejo
Pic Base: Silueta
Height: 5 ft 4 in
Weight: 115 lbs.
Birthdate: 8/13/1997
Birth Place: Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico
Current Residence: Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico

Physical Description: Maria has red hair that goes down to her shoulders and brown eyes, though when she's seen on camera her real eyes will always be hidden behind colored contacts that make her sclera yellow and her pupils black vertical slits like a cat's. Her assets aren't really noteworthy in the size department, but they're still pretty noticeable on her lean, toned figure. She wrestles in a black latex catsuit that helps accentuate her figure quite a bit and black boots. She also has black leather gloves with razor-sharp golden nails attached to the ends, but she doesn't wear these while competing for obvious reasons, though it does make for an effective weapon if necessary.

WRESTLING INFORMATION
-------------------------------------------------
Wrestling Style: Mix of high-flying, speed, striking and cheating
Alignment (Face/Tweener/Heel): Tweener (leans more towards heel though)
Years Pro: 0
Finishers: Garra de Gata (english translation: Cat's Claw), Mala Suerte (english translation: Bad Luck)
Finishers Descriptions (If Needed): Clawhold STO, Inverted Facelock spun out into a DDT
Signature Moves: La Trampa (english translation: The Trap), Salto de Fe (english translation: Leap of Faith), Ladrón en la Noche (english translation: Thief in the Night)
Signature Moves Descriptions (If Needed): Arm Trap Somersault Cradle, Imploding 450 Splash, Shining Wizard
Theme Song: Tesoro by Héroes del Silencio

Common Moves: Dropkick, Slingshot Elbow Drop, Spinning Heel Kick, Forearm Strikes, Enzuigiri, Diving Crossbody, Springboard Tornado DDT, Missile Dropkick, Cartwheel Over the Top Rope Suicide Corkscrew Moonsault, Hurricanrana, Springboard Clothesline, Springboard Kick, Basement Dropkick to the knees followed by bouncing off the ropes and hitting a Dropkick to the side of the head, Any blatant cheating tactic she can get away with in a match

Strengths:
Maria is incredibly fast and agile, having been compared to a cat in a human's body before. She's near impossible to corner or catch when she gets moving, and this allows her to pick people apart with lightning fast strikes and an aerial attack that's difficult to counter when she's prone to quickly turning any situation into a parkour exercise that turns the tide in her favor.

Weaknesses:
Despite the incredible stamina befitting someone as quick as her and a build that makes her seem like a perfect aerial athlete, Maria is not as durable as most wrestlers. She's become so good at being able to dodge and avoid punishment that when she does get caught, it's easy to break her down and allow the wear and tear wrestlers endure every day to quickly overwhelm her. This is much easier to hide and mitigate in tag matches where she can rely on Valeria (or whoever's teaming with her) to take over while she recovers or multi-person matches where she can lurk outside the ring and wait for her opportunity, but one on one or being isolated from her partner means this can definitely come into play and work against her.

Entrance: The lights dim a bit as Tesoro begins to play, a bit of fog slowly beginning to form on the stage. Slowly, we see a figure crawling through it, almost like a cat trying to remain hidden before it pounces on its prey. When the vocals pick up a bit, she slowly rises to a stand and gazes out at the crowd with a grin, revealing herself to be Maria Vencejo. She starts walking down the ramp, her eyes moving along with crowd but there's no further interaction with them. When she reaches ringside she pauses for a moment to examine the golden nails on her gloves before she suddenly bolts forward, sliding into the ring before rolling into a kip-up. She backs into her corner and slowly removes her gloves before the referee even has to say anything about them, but the look in her eyes makes it clear she's contemplating how they may be useful pending how the match plays out.

Biography: Not much is known about Maria Vencejo, but there are a lot of rumors. The primary one among them is that she is a notorious cat burglar whose always up for a challenge and down for robbing those with the most money and/or power. Naturally, no one is truly able to confirm this, and it's just as widely believed these stories were fabricated by those who have some sort of issue with her, perhaps because of other rumors insisting that she has some ties to various Mexican drug cartels. Perhaps the only thing that can be confirmed 100% factual about her is that she has some sort of connection to Valeria Garcia, the woman most SCW fans have come to know as Ruby Amarant, that seems to predate even Ruby's partnership with Scarlet Grey. This connection has managed to land her an SCW contract now, but what happens from there and what is or isn't true about her all remains to be seen.

Valet Description

Real Name: Gloria Sane
Date of Birth: Unknown
Height: 5’6
Weight: 100Ibs
Home Town: Unknown
Current Residence (If different from above): Unknown

Biography: As you can imagine by the look of him, Kai Morris was not a happy child. Bullied and treated like an outcast, it was a conversation with his Head Teacher that led him to fight back. Unfortunately, this revenge resulted in a child being stabbed in the chest with a fountain pen, for which Jester was immediately expelled. Several more expulsions followed as Kai was taken from his parents and placed in a care home, only leaving when he came of adult age. It was then that he met Gloria, a woman who like him had been shunned by society, and then fell in love. Kai had by now become aware of his need for violence, and thankfully Gloria shared the same philosophy on life, if you don’t have it, you take it. And it was that philosophy that led them to the doors of the MCW, and Jester Funn was born. Jester remained undefeated during that time, until unfortunately the company closed its doors, and Jester and Gloria disappeared until reappearing in C:NG. Whilst there however, we were introduced to Thamuz, Jester’s alter ego who is more destructive and evil. After that company went under, Jester disappeared again until now though, they have returned, to the doors of the EMERGE…the Funn, has just begun.

I am taking a 3 week LOA to take some time away and figure out where I'm going with my characters.  I have a general idea of what I want to do with them, but I need to nail down the specifics.  Also, this will give me time to write on my schedule.

I'm so sorry everyone.

LOA Start: 09/19/19
LOA end:  10/10/19
