Glory Braddock vs. Brilliant Sun Princess YUSA - Konrad Raab - 09-02-2024 2 RP Limit for singles 3500 Word Limit Per RP Deadline: 11:59:59 pm ET FRIDAY, September 6, 2024 (Show will be advertised as if taking place on Saturday, September 7 to avoid NFL Kickoff) RE: Glory Braddock vs. Brilliant Sun Princess YUSA - Braddock - 09-03-2024 1 of 2 ===== ========== August 18th, 2024 Orlando, Florida Off Camera ========== It has been nearly one month since Rise To Greatness, one month since Glory Braddock and Brittany Lohan failed to recapture the SCW World Tag Team Championship. Instead, it was Light in the Darkness who walked away with the coveted gold. The British Bombshell is no stranger to defeat. She is a veteran of the sport who has had her fair share of highs and lows in the business and losing to a team as talented as Amelia and Luz is nothing to hang her head in shame about. What truly bothers Braddock is how she felt this was it, this was her and Lohan’s one final chance to recapture the tag team titles. They put all of their eggs into this one basket, this one shot to retake the top spot in the tag team division, and they failed. Now Glory Braddock is left without a clue as to what comes next. She doesn’t know what direction she goes from here and that is a strange, unusual situation for The British Bombshell. Braddock has always been the type of person who always knew what she wanted and how she wanted to achieve it. It wasn’t long ago that Glory knew she wanted to become a Supreme Champion and she set out to achieve it, first winning the Television Title and then winning the tag team titles to complete the necessary set. But now she doesn’t quite know where to go from here. She easily could continue this path with Brittany Lohan and try to earn another shot at the SCW World Tag Team Titles. Then again, there is a part of Braddock who longs to seek out and recapture singles success. There is a new SCW World Champion, Josh Hudson, someone whom Braddock has a history with, someone who Glory has beaten before and knows she can beat again. She could return to the singles ranks and climb back up to the top and become World Champion again. There are many options, many questions, and Braddock is not sure where she should go from here. She is not sure what path she should take following the defeat of Twisted & Sadistic at Rise To Greatness. Braddock ordinarily would talk it out with Brittany herself. However she is certain Lohan would just go along with whatever Glory suggested. After all, Brittany only returned to help Braddock become tag team champion and thus achieve the Supreme Championship status in the first place. The British Bombshell feels that she needs someone who will tell her the harsh truth of the situation and give her cold yet valuable advice on how to proceed following her disappointing performance at Rise To Greatness. Glory knows of one person who would provide such cold yet valuable advice and that person is Aphrodite Noel. Braddock also knows that Lohan would not approve of her seeking out Noel’s advice, which is why she has chosen not to tell her tag team partner about her trip to Orlando on this bright and sunny afternoon to visit with the eccentric Aphrodite Noel. Currently Braddock is confidently walking up the driveway of Noel’s modern home in Orlando, Florida. She’s wearing a stylish pink dress, the color of soft rose petals, which hugs her figure gracefully. The dress features a sweetheart neckline, with delicate spaghetti straps that rest gently on her shoulders. The fabric of the dress is slightly shimmering, adding a touch of elegance to her appearance. The hem of the dress falls just above her knees, revealing a pair of semi-opaque stockings that are a shade lighter than her dress, adding a layer of sophistication and femininity to her look. Her blonde hair cascades in soft waves down to past the shoulders. Her legs are slender and toned, accentuated by a pair of sleek, pointed-toe heels that match the color of her dress perfectly. Glory’s heels clicking softly against the smooth pavement of the driveway as she approaches the house. Braddock approaches the front door and then rings the doorbell, signaling her arrival. Braddock steps back and waits for an answer. The wait is not very long. She quickly hears the door locks unlatching. The door then opens and she spots the woman she has long since viewed as a mentor and mother figure, Aphrodite Noel, standing there wearing khaki dress pants, simple black flats, and a black silk blouse. A wide grin forms Noel’s face the moment she lays eyes on Glory Braddock. “Gloria! You came!” She motions Glory in for a hug. Glory does not hesitate. She steps forward and embraces her in a tight hug. “Of course I came.” Glory says. “I told you I would be stopping by for a visit, didn’t I?” “Yes, yes you did.” She nods her head. “But still it’s just…” Aphrodite pauses, as if she was rethinking her next words. She then shakes her head. “...it doesn’t matter. You are here with me now and that is all that matters.” Aphrodite steps back a little to take appraisal of Glory. She seems to glow with praise. “You look gorgeous, my child! Absolutely gorgeous!” “Thank you.” Glory is slightly unsettled by Aphrodite’s overwhelming praise of her. She senses a bit of manipulation but shrugs it off as just her imagination. “Is that the dress I bought you two years ago?” Aphrodite asks. Glory smiles warmly and nods her head. “Yes, it is. I know how much it meant to you.” “It does.” Aphrodite says. “But you, you mean so much to me as well, Gloria.” Glory Braddock senses that something is amiss, something is a bit off here, but she just shrugs it off. She knows Aphrodite has always been a little eccentric anyway. Still, her knowledge has been valuable and helpful in the past. Hopefully her knowledge and advice will help her again this time as she needs guidance on where to go from here following Rise To Greatness. Noel motions for Glory to follow her inside. Braddock nods her head and steps across the threshold, shutting the door behind her and following Aphrodite further, deeper into the home. “I heard you were coming so I went and bought a bottle of your favorite wine!” Aphrodite gushes. “Cabernet Sauvignon!” “Nice try but my favorite is Pinot Noir.” “Oh come off it, Gloria.” Noel shakes her head. “You love a good bottle of cabernet.” Braddock rolls her eyes but voices no dissent. She just follows Aphrodite down the hall and into an opulent, luxurious living room area. Aphrodite motions to the plush, cream colored sofa. “Sit, Gloria. I will go fetch the wine.” Glory nods her head. She walks over and sits down on the sofa. As she waits on Aphrodite to return the weight of her decision still weighs heavily on her mind. She certainly would hate to just give up on the tag team division just because she and Brittany failed at Rise To Greatness but she also recognizes that there are more goals, more achievements, and more challenges to be had elsewhere in SCW. She wants to be in the thick of things, especially as the competitiveness of SCW really heats up. “And here you are…” Glory turns to see Aphrodite returning to the living room. She has two glasses of wine, one in each hand. She hands one to Glory before sitting down on the sofa next to her. Aphrodite holds up her glass. “...a toast, to us, to our bond. May it never be severed.” “Cheers.” Glory clinks her glass against Aphrodite’s. The two women take sips from their wine. Braddock does prefer a pinot noir but still, she has to admit that this cabernet is quite good. “So, to what do I owe the pleasure of this visit from my daughter?” Aphrodite puts emphasis on that last word, a reminder of the kind of relationship Braddock agreed to years ago. Braddock sighs as she sets her wine glass down. “Maybe I just wanted to visit you?” “Yes, perhaps.” Aphrodite smirks. “But not you, typically you need something. And especially now, what with your friendship with Brittany Lohan.” “Brittany means well.” Glory insists. “And she has been a big help. Had it not been for her I might not have become Supreme Champion.” “Lohan is good for one thing and one thing only, Gloria; hired muscle. She can be your muscle, watch your back, that’s fine. But that’s all she is good for. But guiding you through the rough waters of SCW?” Aphrodite shakes her head. “Not a good influence.” “You never did like her.” Glory states with a sigh of frustration. “I tried so hard to make it work between the two of you but you never could get along with her.” “I tried.” Aphrodite insists. “Believe me, I bent over backward to make it work out. Lohan was the stubborn one who refused to listen. Like I said, she is a bad influence. If you want my opinion, and I assume you do since you are here, I would suggest that you spend more time with your sister.” “Julia?” Glory grins. Aphrodite nods her head. “Of course. Julia is a wonderful influence on you.” “You only say that because the two of you are like two peas in the pod. You think alike.” Glory points out as she sips more of her wine. “And what’s wrong with that?” Aphrodite asks. “I mean, you clearly are not as trusting of me as you used to be. Why else would you have abandoned me in favor of that barbarian Lohan?” “That’s not fair.” Glory says. “I do trust you, I really do. It’s just that you and Britt never could get along and I had to make a choice.” “And you chose her.” Aphrodite points out. “But I understand. You had to prepare for Rise To Greatness. You couldn’t risk Brittany leaving you high and dry.” Aphrodite pauses for a moment as she sips her wine. She sighs. “How did Rise To Greatness go, by the way?” Glory Braddock sighs and shakes her head. She knows damn well that Aphrodite watched Rise To Greatness and knows exactly how it turned out for herself and Brittany Lohan. She knows about Twisted & Sadistic’s failure. She just wants to hear it from Glory’s own mouth. Glory sips her wine again before setting it back down. “That’s kind of what I wanted to talk to you about.” “Oh really?” Aphrodite’s interest peaked. Glory nods her head. “Britt and I lost at Rise To Greatness.” She said it. She knew Aphrodite herself already knew this but she said it anyway. Aphrodite wanted to hear it. “We lost, Light in the Darkness won, and we are not the tag champs. For all intents and purposes we are going to the back of the line, if we decide to continue our pursuit of the tag titles.” “IF you continue to pursue the tag titles?” “See, that’s the thing, I’m not sure what comes next.” Glory shrugs her shoulders. “Part of me doesn’t want to give up on the tag titles so easily. Britt and I had a great run as champions that was cut short thanks to some bullshit from Ravyn and Syren. I know that if we were given one more fair shot, we could rule that division. But…” her voice trails off for a moment, she shrugs her shoulders “...but it will take awhile to earn that shot again. So I am thinking about exploring my options. You know?” “I know.” Aphrodite nods her head. Her grin seems to be one of triumph. “I know precisely what you mean. This is something I have been longing to tell you but, out of respect for your privacy and your wishes, I chose to stay out of your SCW business. But now that I find you here in my living room with so much doubt and fog surrounding your future in that company, perhaps it is time that I told you exactly what I feel.” “By all means.” Glory says. “I’m all ears.” “It may sound harsh, but believe me when I say that I do have your best interests at heart.” “Just tell me already.” Glory says, growing a little frustrated. Aphrodite smirks and nods her head. “Very well. I think you should end this Twisted & Sadistic experiment in SCW. Or at least put it on hiatus temporarily.” “End Twisted & Sadistic? Abandon the tag team division?” Glory asks. “Yes, of course. After all, you deserve so much better than sharing the spotlight with someone else in the tag team division. Think back to your time as Television Champion, United States Champion, and Adrenaline Champion. Or better yet, think back to your run as SCW World Champion.” Aphrodite’s mention of the world title victory is a bittersweet reminder of her past. It was something she had longed for, fought so hard to achieve, but it ended so abruptly. Noel can see the pain on Glory’s face and immediately nods her head. “Yes, you deserved a proper title reign. But you never got one. Your World Title reign ended after a few minutes because of that ridiculous gauntlet match. Don’t you want to make that right?” “Of course I do.” Glory shakes her head. “But we have a new champion and there are already others lined up for an opportunity. I would have to fight my way back into the number one contender spot.” “Then you need to start.” Aphrodite says firmly. “The longer you wait, the longer you delay by keeping yourself in the tag team division, the longer it will be before you taste any singles gold again, regardless of which piece of singles gold it is.” Aphrodite places a hand on Glory’s shoulder. “You deserve better, Gloria.” “You are wrong about that.” Glory shakes her head. “No one deserves or is entitled to anything. You are supposed to earn your place in this business.” Braddock sighs. “However…” her voice trails off. “Yes?” “...however, I do think it is time that I get back into the singles ranks. I achieved what I set out to do. I became a Supreme Champion. I completed that challenge. Now I am need of a new challenge. Maybe that challenge is to win some singles gold? Or maybe that challenge is something else entirely? But whatever that new challenge is, I do not think I will find it in the tag team division.” “That is a wise decision, Gloria.” Aphrodite says as she pats Glory on the back. “I suppose I will need to tell Britt very soon that our tag team run is over.” Glory sighs. “And that means you get what you wanted.” “I take no satisfaction in any of this, Gloria, believe me.” Aphrodite insists. Glory isn’t sure she believes her but doesn’t say anything. She just continues to listen. “Just believe me when I say that I only want what is best for you and this is truly what is best for you right now.” “Yes, you are probably right. I need to move forward, I need to find new challenges.” Glory nods her head. “I have no idea what this means for Britt though.” “Lohan will find something to do.” Aphrodite says nonchalantly. “People like her always land on their feet. But as for you, there is one more thing I would suggest that you do.” “What’s that?” “You have spent a long time with Brittany and, like I said, she was a bad influence on you. Too many of her bad habits rubbed off on you.” Aphrodite shakes her head. “If you want my advice, you should immediately go catch a flight to London and spend some quality time with your sister.” “Yes, you said something about her being a better influence than Britt.” Glory chuckles. “But I didn’t think you were serious.” “I am very serious.” Aphrodite says in a firm, stern tone. “You two have grown a bit more distant lately. That is not good, not good at all. And your time apart has not served to help either one of you. You two are better off together, united, than divided. Understand?” “Yes…I understand.” Glory nods her head. She had no idea how serious and how important this was to Aphrodite. “Good. Then promise me you will do as I say.” “Yes, I will.” Glory says. “I’ll go visit Julia.” It has indeed been a long time since Braddock spent significant time with her younger sister Julia. The more she thinks about it, the more the words of Aphrodite seem to make sense. She and Julia are better off as a united front. When they are apart, when they do not have each other to support, they tend to take the wrong path and make bad decisions. Glory has definitely made some mistakes, mistakes that led to her and Britt wrecking the tag team division in a fit to try and get another title shot. And yet still they failed to capitalize. The British Bombshell now has a chance to make things better in the singles division. But what of Julia? How has Julia been doing? Glory can honestly say she has no idea. Perhaps it is time to check in on her younger sister? And perhaps it is time for Glory Braddock to put Twisted & Sadistic on hiatus so that can renew her pursuit of singles accolades? RE: Glory Braddock vs. Brilliant Sun Princess YUSA - The Sun Princess - 09-03-2024 Young doesn't mean stupid. This was a bit of a struggle... Good luck, Matty. RE: Glory Braddock vs. Brilliant Sun Princess YUSA - Braddock - 09-05-2024 2 of 2 ====== ========== August 31st, 2024 London, England Off Camera ========== Breakdown was rather uneventful for The British Bombshell. She had her discussion with Brittany Lohan and everything went well. The War Machine had no problems with Braddock going her own way to pursue a singles path in Supreme Championship Wrestling. And to be honest, this is what Glory wanted anyway. As much as she would have liked to have won the tag team titles just one more time, she still has other challenges that lay ahead of her. Braddock still has other challenges to conquer. The Television, Underground, Adrenaline, United States, and especially the World Title divisions are all hotter than ever with new talent pouring into the company. Glory Braddock always prides herself on being tested against the very best. It is now time to insert herself back into the singles ranks and see just where she measures up against some of the newer talent in SCW. One such talent is The Brilliant Sun Princess YUSA. She and the other Shining Maidens have been extremely successful since their arrival in SCW. Their leader, YUYO, is the reigning Adrenaline Champion after recently dethroning Bree Lancaster. YUSA has a title shot of her choosing for the Adrenaline or Underground Titles. Even the tag team gold could be on the radar for The Shining Maidens. The British Bombshell knows that facing any member of the maidens would be the perfect test for her as she returns to the singles ranks. Now that she has officially made her intentions known on Breakdown, she can turn her attention to taking on The Brilliant Sun Princess and, possibly, putting an end to the momentum that group has built up since Rise To Greatness. Before she makes the trip to Oklahoma City for her encounter with YUSA on Breakdown, The British Bombshell has decided to stop by and visit her sister, Julia Braddock, in her old stomping grounds of London, England. Glory had asked her longtime mentor Aphrodite Noel for advice almost two weeks ago and it was her encouragement that helped The British Bombshell make up her mind to return to the singles ranks and pursue championship gold. It was also Noel’s advice to seek out her younger sister. Aphrodite insists that Brittany Lohan was a bad influence who had led Glory astray. Glory does not necessarily believe any of that, but she does think Noel has a point in one regard; Glory and her sister Julia have grown distant. They have grown further and further apart. In fact, The British Bombshell cannot even recall the last time she spoke with her younger sister. Glory had been preoccupied with chasing after the tag team titles that she lost track of something else even more important; her own family. Is she going to visit Julia simply for the purposes of guidance? Not at all. Glory is certain that she can handle her SCW career and, specifically, determine a good strategy for taking on YUSA without Julia’s help. However, regaining some semblance of a relationship with her sister is important and this is what brings The British Bombshell back to her familial home in London, England. The Braddock Family home, located just within the limits of London, England, is not the way The British Bombshell remembers it. Growing up alongside the family’s patriarch, Glenn Braddock, she remembers this place being unkept and rather run down looking, despite the wealth Glenn had access to. After Glenn’s death, Glory and her sister Julia inherited it. Glory sold her part to Julia and moved to Miami. Since taking over the home place, Julia has done serious remodeling, turning it into the type of upscale home you might expect from a person of wealth and prestige. She furniture is plush and cream colored. Glory and Julia are seated next to one another on the sofa. There is an elegant coffee table in the center of this living space, just within arm’s reach of the sofa. Glory wears a pair of well-fitted jeans, slightly faded with a natural, worn-in look. A plain purple t-shirt, slightly oversized for comfort, tucks into her jeans at the front. On her feet, she sports classic white sneakers, clean but clearly well-used, indicating practicality and ease. In stark contrast, her sister Julia exudes an air of elegance that seems to mirror this upscale home. Her long blonde hair is styled in soft curls, framing her face and falling gracefully over her shoulders. She wears a delicate, pastel-colored dress adorned with subtle lace detailing and cinches at the waist, accentuating her figure. On her feet, she wears a pair of dainty, strappy heels that match the soft tones of her dress. “It is good to see you, Glory.” Julia says softly yet with a strong tone. “How long has it been since you last visited our old home?” “Too long.” Glory admits with a small nod of her head. “Yes, it has been too long.” Julia quietly chuckles. “I might think you were avoiding me.” “Oh stop that, Julia. I’ve just been busy.” “Calm down.” Julia laughs again. “I’m just giving you a hard time. That’s what siblings do, am I right? Besides, I get it. You don’t have to explain anything to me.” “I don’t?” “Of course not.” Julia shakes her head. “You aren’t the only wrestler in this family, you know? I have traveled the road, traveled the world, and I have had my eyes on championship gold plenty of times. The Supreme Championship meant everything to you.” “It was very important.” Glory admits with a nod of her head. “But I shouldn’t have put that ahead of my family.” “Nonsense. You have to be selfish once in awhile, especially if you want to succeed in this sport of ours. Even father taught us that much.” “Yeah, yeah he did.” Glory sighs. “Still, I quickly became Television Champion and it wasn’t long after that before Britt and I became SCW World Tag Team Champions. I completed the set. I could have taken some time to visit you but I didn’t. I’m sorry.” “Don’t apologize.” Julia shakes her head insistently. “Stop it right now. You do not owe me any apologies. I am just glad you are here now, that’s all.” Julia leans back and a small grin forms on her face. “Although I am a little curious, what brings you back here now after so long? Is it really just because you lost at Rise To Greatness and needed a shoulder to cry on?” Glory laughs despite herself. Losing at Rise To Greatness was a bit of a letdown and took the wind right out of her sails. But after speaking with Aphrodite, Glory has seemed much more optimistic about her future. “Oh no, it’s nothing like that Julia. The crying and moaning is over. I’m not looking backward any longer. I am looking forward to the future, to new challenges.” “Well that’s good.” Julia says. “I always thought you focused too much on the past.” “Maybe you’re right.” Glory admits. “I mean, it seems like ever since I finally made up my mind to quit thinking about the tag team division and turn my attention back to winning some singles gold, my attitude has been much better. I am feeling much better about the future, Julia.” “You always were at your best when you were feeling confident.” Julia winks. “So who is the first victim?” “I wouldn’t quite go as far as to call her a victim yet.” Glory shakes her head. “Brilliant Sun Princess YUSA of the Shining Maidens. She’s already earned a title shot of her choosing.” “Oh that group of anime cosplayers?” Julia snickers nastily. Glory rolls her eyes. “You don’t give them enough credit. They’re all real good.” “You give them too much credit.” Julia snaps back. “You need to be the one to put an end to them.” “Put an end to them? Seriously?” Glory arches her brow out of curiosity. “This isn’t some grudge match. I have no issues with The Shining Maidens. This is just a simple wrestling match. A competition between two athletes, trying to see who the better woman is and…” “Blah, blah, blah…” Julia rolls her eyes “...you know, it couldn’t hurt to be a little more cutthroat.” “That worked so well for me and Britt when we tried to take out the entire tag team division.” Glory points out. “This time I would like to do things the right way.” “For your sake I hope it works out.” Julia remarks. “But enough shop talk. I think there’s someone who wants to see you, someone else you haven’t seen in a very long time.” “Oh?” Glory’s curiosity is peaked. She watches as Julia claps her hands loudly, as if it were a signal. As it turns out, it is indeed a signal. A few moments after Julia claps her hands the sound of footsteps is heard. Glory and Julia turn to see a lovely young girl in her late teens with long raven black hair entering the room wearing a beautiful pink sundress and sandals. Glory immediately recognizes her as Serena, the child Julia took in and adopted. It has indeed been a long time since she saw Serena. She looks grown, more mature, since the last time she saw her. Glory’s smile widens as Serena approaches and hugs her tightly. “Greetings, Aunt Gloria.” “Don’t you look so grown.” Glory says, gushing with praise. “Tell her about everything that has happened to you since moving in with me and living under my roof, Serena.” Julia says in a commanding yet gentle tone. Serena nods her head. “Yes, of course mother.” Serena turns back to face Glory. “I had no identity. I suffered from severe amnesia, knowing nothing about myself or my past except for one name…Grace…but now, thanks to Ms. Braddock who took me in, I have an identity. I have a home.” “And what did I teach you?” Julia asks. “Of course.” Serena smiles. “I learned essential skills necessary to survive in this world.” “Thank you, Serena.” Julia pats her on the back. “Why don’t you run along? Your aunt and I need to finish talking and then maybe we can go and get some lunch. Would you like that?” “Yes!” Serena exclaims. “Wonderful. Now run along and get ready.” Glory is impressed with how this young lady has progressed. She watches as Serena walks off, just as Julia commanded. Glory turns to face her sister again and nods her head. “She certainly has come a long way.” Glory says. “Didn’t you find her trying to break into one of your facilities?” “Yes.” Julia nods her head. “She was on drugs, living on the streets, had no knowledge of her past. She was a homeless street rat who I have molded into a princess.” She points a finger at Glory. “And imagine what I could do for you if you were to listen to me.” “Oh so that’s what this is about.” Glory chuckles. “I take it Aphrodite told you?” “She told me why you were coming, yes. She thinks it would be best if you let me guide you through SCW and, quite honestly, I agree with her.” “I’m fine, Julia, thanks.” “Listen…” Julia begins “...you wouldn’t let Aphrodite guide Twisted & Sadistic and look at where that got you? You wouldn’t listen to Britt either…although that might have been for the best. But point is, you didn’t trust either of them enough to let them guide you. Why not trust me? I am your sister, after all. I would never lead you astray.” “Look, Julia,” Glory smiles warmly “it isn’t that I don’t trust you, it’s just that I do not need you. For far too long I have relied on others, whether it was Aphrodite or Britt or someone else. I need to know if I can do this on my own. Isn’t that the whole purpose of returning to the singles division? To see if I can be competitive without the assistance of a partner?” “Fair enough, I suppose.” Julia nods her head. “But promise you will keep in touch? Like you said, it has been far too long since your last visit. I don’t want you to get preoccupied again with your SCW career and forget to visit me.” “I promise.” Glory hugs Julia. “I will definitely keep in touch.” ========== September 2nd, 2024 London, England On Camera ========== We open outside in the cloudy, overcast London, England atmosphere. Standing in the center of the shot is none other than Glory Braddock. The British Bombshell has a simple but practical outfit; a sleeveless purple shirt that clings to her figure, a pair of well worn blue jeans that are faded at the knees, and a pair of simple sneakers. Her long, sun-kissed blonde hair that cascades down to her back in gentle waves. A look of confidence is etched across Glory’s face. “Obviously Rise To Greatness did not go the way I had hoped. Britt and I fought long and hard to earn that tag team championship match. I mean, we practically wrecked the entire tag team division. We declared war on the entire tag team division in SCW all for our desire to get one more shot at the tag team titles. And at the end of the day what Britt and I brought to the table, what Twisted & Sadistic brought to the table, it just wasn’t good enough.” Glory shakes her head. “It wasn’t. And I’m not here to make any excuses. Sure, it wasn’t the ideal team on team match that we had wanted…thank you Team Desire…but we still got what we wanted at the end of it all. Katie and Gigi were eliminated first, leaving it down to ourselves and Light in the Darkness, just as it should have been all along. Britt and I had Amelia and Luz to ourselves with no one else to interfere, no one else to screw things up, no one else to cause any controversy. That was our opportunity and, like I said, we couldn’t get the job done. So Amelia, Luz, congratulations.” Braddock claps her hands. “You were the better team at Rise To Greatness. The tag team division is in your hands…for now…” a sly grin forms on Glory’s face. “In case anyone wasn’t paying attention to Breakdown, Britt and I decided to put Twisted & Sadistic on hiatus. This doesn’t mean I am abandoning the tag team division for good. One day the time will come when Britt and I decide to reclaim the tag team division. But that’s not going to happen anytime soon. You see, as a competitor I am in constant need of new challenges to keep my skills sharpened. I am always in need of a new mountain to climb, a new quest to conquer. The Supreme Championship was my most recent challenge and I conquered it. The tag team division was a challenge and Britt and I conquered it. We proved that very few teams outside of Light in the Darkness could hang with us. Now I need a new challenge. I need to test myself against new mountains to see if I can still conquer and still be the very best wrestler in the world today. And when I look at this new crop of talent in Supreme Championship Wrestling, when I look at the new blood that has reinvigorated this company, I see so many opportunities to test myself, I see so many mountains to climb, challenges to conquer.” Braddock pats herself on the chest. “That is what keeps me going! That is why I continue to do what I do! I keep testing myself to see if I really am still the best in the world. If I ever quit seeking out new challenges or new obstacles to test myself against, then I cease being the best, and I may as well cease being a wrestler. The day I quit challenging and testing myself is the day I retire and I can promise you that I am not going to quit or retire anytime soon. I have been quietly surveying the landscape of SCW, I have been studying these fresh new competitors who have stepped up to the plate and made names for themselves; all of them have been impressive in their own unique way, but one group in particular has especially taken my notice.” She smirks knowingly. “The Shining Maidens.” The British Bombshell nods her head. “You girls have damn sure made an impact. YUYO managed to dethrone Bree Lancaster to become the SCW Adrenaline Champion. Your group has won its fair share of tag team matches, easily putting you in contention for a future tag title shot. And already there’s YUSA, a young lady who has earned a shot at the Adrenaline Title…or Underground Title…by winning a chaotic battle royal at Rise To Greatness. All of you have been very impressive. No one in SCW has managed to stop you or halt the momentum you have built up since your arrival on the scene. It almost seems like an inevitability that you lot are going to dominate SCW for a long time to come.” Glory shakes her head and then points to herself. “That’s where I come in. Why wouldn’t I want to test myself against you lot? Why wouldn’t I want to take on arguably the most dominant group in SCW right now? It makes perfect sense. Not only do you have that momentum, but you Shining Maidens and I already have a history. You did battle with Twisted & Sadistic and it ended in a controversial disqualification ending thanks to some outside interference from the Shinigami Foundation.” Braddock shakes her head. “And before any of you decide to get any strange conspiratorial ideas floating around in those adorable heads of yours….no, I have nothing to do with that group. I am Glory Braddock. I am one of the best pure wrestlers in the world today. I do not need any help to beat anyone on this roster. That’s why I returned to the singles ranks. It is high time that I remind the entire world what I am capable of, it is time to remind everyone that I can beat anyone and everyone in SCW.” She points a finger at the camera. “I’m starting with you, Shining Maidens, but more specifically a certain Brilliant Sun Princess who has already punched her ticket to a championship opportunity. You have a lot to be proud of since coming to SCW, YUSA. You have accomplished a great deal. This title shot you now have is proof of how good you are and that you belong. You and your fellow Maidens seem to be unstoppable but I am going to be the first person to stop you. I am going to be the one to take the wind out of your sails. I am going to remind you that underneath the glitz, the glamor, the flair, the costumes, and that fancy Brilliant Sun Princess persona, you are human. You are vulnerable. You are beatable.” Braddock smirks. “I know that I am beatable. I have tasted defeat before. It doesn’t taste very good but I learn from it and I recover, I fix my mistakes, and I become better. You and your Shining Maidens have made very few mistakes. You have yet to really taste a major defeat. It is time that I get your friends acquainted with defeat and, unfortunately for you, it seems that SCW has decided that you would be the one to send that message to the rest of the maidens. So in closing here is what will happen, YUSA…I am going to defeat you. I will be the one to bring this runaway train known as the Shining Maidens to a screeching halt. And in doing so I will send a resounding message to everyone else in the locker room, to anyone else who may want to step up and challenge The British Bombshell…that message is very simple; I am back, I am better than ever, and I am coming for the very best this company has to offer.” Glory chuckles and shakes her head. “It isn’t for justice, YUSA…oh no, this is something else entirely.” She winks at the camera. “For…GLORY!” She shuts her eyes. “Sic Semper Tyrannis.” |
