To the point of agony
Growing darkness taking dawn

{SOMETHING BIGGER: Chapter One}

Sometimes things happen behind the scenes that nobody is aware of.  It creates a foundation, a creation, of sorts, of what is to come.  And while to the rest of the world, things look random, and out of nowhere, they begin somewhere simple.  They begin somewhere innocuous,  They begin with a foundation of people with longer visions and ideas that others may not have, and what led to the reality we live in now, began many months before, with a simple text message, a simple "hello," and a simple meet up, creating that very cornerstone of the foundation leading to where we live, today.

Inside a popular chain coffee shop, sits Tommy Valentine.  He sits facing the door, obviously expecting to see someone walk in.  Within just a few minutes of him taking his seat with his coffee, his eyes make contact with Jake Starr, walking into the same establishment.  Jake doesn't approach Tommy, but instead goes to order his drink.  After doing so, he goes and waits for it, as Tommy glances back at him.  Jake's eyes remain focused on the baristas, awaiting his name called, and once he receives his drink, he immediately turns and walks to the table where his fellow member of "The Brotherhood" has been sitting all along.

The two have not spoken in some time.  The feeling is a bit awkward, but Jake knows Tommy wouldn't have reached out to him without reason.  Jake takes a sip of his drink, and just looks across at his former friend and comrade, very much unsure of how the two currently "sit" in the relationship category.

Tommy simply does the same, and Jake's annoyance forces him to break the silence.

Jake Starr: ... First time I haven't had to send the Numa Numa Guy and Star Wars Kid to actually find you...

Tommy chuckles.

Tommy Valentine: Well that's because I reached out to you first...

Jake Starr: Yes... And you did it for once in your life instead of running... So what's this about?

Tommy smirks, taking a sip and putting his drink down.

Tommy Valentine: I'm not going to waste your time.  It's about business.  It's time we pool our resources...

Jake Starr: And that means, what?

Tommy Valentine: Listen... I've gotten word, through the grapevine, you've been advising Kirsten Scott.  Well I have a bit of a rapport myself, with Kandis.

Jake's eyes roll.

Jake Starr: A bit?

Tommy chuckles.

Tommy Valentine: For once in our lives, the tables are a bit turned and I'm driving here.  So yes, a bit.  Because I've heard Kirsten.  I've seen Kirsten.  I know you have seen the same and were both know that there is a LOT of potential between the two of them, where something can happen.  And that's if Kandis admits it or not.  She sees it.  It pisses her off.  But I'm willing to help mitigate that emotion to create something BIGGER...

Jake Starr: Bigger?  What does that mean?

Tommy Valentine: Kandis and Kirsten may have goals that put them on a collision course, but didn't "The Brotherhood?"  Didn't we all fight one another for the World Championship at some point?

Jake Starr: Yeah, we did...

Tommy Valentine: And did we hold it above one another's head?  Or did we do it based on the respect and understanding that business was business?  We were BROTHERS in that right.  Business was STILL business.  Those two, they don't have to be besties to see the big picture here.  They don't have to agree with one another all the time, hell, we didn't.  They don't have to understand why the other does X while they do Y for the endgame.  They can't fight one another and still achieve, in the end, what matters most, and THAT is the changing of the guard in SCW.

Both are tired of the current "regime," Jake.  Yours is a newcomer ready to destroy everything and simply rebuild it from the ground up.  Mine is a little more decorated and able to do things and lead.  But there is a natural cohesion there.  Just like with "The Brotherhood."  It's time we did it again.

Jake sighs.

Jake Starr: Dude "The Brotherhood" is dead...

Tommy Valentine: Yeah... And this isn't that.  This isn't the "Social Misfits."  This isn't anything done before, outside of the IDEA... And that is where you and I come in.  We get these two on the same page enough to begin to do what we did then, but on a bigger scale for THEM.  I mean, hell, we had our own trust issues, did we not?  Did David and I not turn on you for Infamous?  Trust takes time to rebuild.  But these two never trusted each other from the start, so we don't have to rebuild anything.  We build a foundation, and our job is to simply smooth it level.

Jake Starr: Well you know Kirsten isn't the fondest of Kandis, outside of a professional respect for her?

Tommy Valentine: Exactly!  And we are the old guys who have to steer them to at least run a parallel line in their travels, until it inevitably collides for something like ours did.  These two can be the ones in power now, but they have to get past their fickleness with one another, and belief that the other is just wrong.

Jake chuckles.

Jake Starr: You really expect us to be the "men" who make the "women act right?"

Tommy Valentine: God no... Just the opposite... We have to empower them by instilling what we know.  We have to be mentors, and in my case a lover, who doesn't demand something of someone, but instead simply gives them the knowledge to run with.  For once, I see an opportunity for these two women to something that us three men couldn't, and that's change the BUSINESS forever... We did it for a short time... Kandis and Kirsten are the two who can do it more than us...

Jake nods.

Jake Starr: Then there's one more component to this...

Tommy Valentine: What do you mean?

Jake Starr: A third woman... She's integral on this to actually work.  She'd have to mitigate the testosterone.  And there's only one woman who can do this.  She hates every, single, one of us, but she's integral to this "bigger picture" you're wanting to establish.  You have to let her be our voice.  Not you.  Not me.  Otherwise it's just mansplaining... Because this isn't about men over women, this is about having the right voice to speak for the message...

Tommy takes a drink.

Jake Starr: ... And if you trust me, you'll allow me to handle that.  It's not from our families, or past, or alliances.  It's a radical.  It's someone who will call our bullshit freely on all sides...

Tommy Valentine: OK... I'm listening...

Jake Starr: Trust me, neither of us like her at all...

{PROMO}

Well let's be real... The world never expected to see two people like Kandis and Kirsten Scott teaming up, side by side, multiple times in a row, in the world of Supreme Championship Wrestling, but you see, that is the world we live in today.  That is the world that we are forced to accept as a reality.  And I know a lot of people are wondering what is going on, and why this is a thing, and in time, as things kind of get ironed out, it'll be a little clearer to everyone.  But right now, what it is, is two women, angry at the same people, and combining one old adage as something they have combined fronts to put one idea forward...

"The enemy of my enemy is my friend."

And that's where we are now, having gone out there and made it clear we are not two people you need to worry about wins, losses, ups, downs, whatever about, because our mindset is simple... And it honestly goes back to the first days of Kirsten Scott, as "The One," in SCW, where it was about inflicting pain and suffering on those who deserved it, and not about whether or not some random ass statistic looked good in my favor or not.

Now to be honest, I can't speak for Kandis.  i can't speak if she's obsessed with the wins, the losses, the numbers, or anything of the such.  I am speaking for me.  But what I am also speaking for is something bigger than the two of us, and something that is creating a livelihood for all of us going forward.

Is that a plus?

Is that a minus?

You be the judge...

Those of us involved in this "greater meaning" know that something is there that will transition this entire industry.  It is no longer just focused on Supreme Championship Wrestling.  It is now focused in the greater spectrum.

And this is the announcement of that moment.

I have been a proponent of a bigger picture in this professional wrestling industry for some time now, and yes, it is finally come to light.  It has come to light under an IDEA that there are those of us who believe that it isn't about the "few" but the greater good, and we are willing to fight for it as such.  Now I say this with the reality that there are those of us who will not always see eye to eye and that is the CRUX of the IDEA.  It's not about everyone agreeing.  It's not about everyone seeing eye to eye.  Instead it is about EVERYONE understanding the ENDGAME and the END GOAL of the situation.

Nobody but Kandis and I see that... Everyone simply believes SCW is their end-all, be-all...

And it's not... SCW is the pinnacle of wrestling achievement, yes, but what it represents is the top of the pyramid to let the rest of the professional wrestling world understand that there is more to this business than just fast-tracking your way to the top.  There is more to making a name for yourself.  There is more to becoming SOMEONE in this business, and it doesn't amount to wins, losses, titles, et cetera, it amounts to the statement you made on the organization, the foundation, the future, the EVERYTHING, that you fight for.  Which is why Syren and Xander Valentine get to learn that VERY lesson at Breakdown.

She hits her vape before continuing.

Xander... Syren... You two have represented two eras of SCW, only one in which you have deserved.  Syren, I'm sorry, you were a benefactor of Jake Starr and Lucas Knight.  You jumped in at the right time, and you and Rayvn only became namesakes because of their rivalry, which made Infamous something worth a damn, in SCW.  Before then, you were nothing.  I looked at the history books.  I watched the film.  Nobody cared about Syren or Rayvn before Lucas Knight and Jake Starr, and they really only cared because you and Jake didn't see eye to eye on a lot of, let's be real, very simpleton issues.

Those simplistic issues created Syren versus Jake Starr, didn't it?

The answer is yes... If you have anything else to offer, you're wrong, plain and simple...

Now to Xander... Xander, you and Jake had something brewing.  You had gotten in his ear.  He has been forthright with me and told me how you tried to come into his life, and lead him to something special in SCW, between the two of you.  But what did you do after you did that?  You ran away like a fucking bitch.  I'm not going to mince words.  Xander Valentine only shows up when he wants to, and when he has a chance at something BIG, he runs with his tail between his legs like a little BITCH.

So what do we have at Breakdown?

What is it Kandis and I are facing?

Are we facing two legit LEGENDS in the lore of Supreme Championship Wrestling?

Or are we facing what I see in front of me?

We are facing two fucking BITCHES who can't accept the reality they are given?

She takes another puff.

Give me an answer!  C'mon Syren... C'mon Xander... Prove you're not the bitches that took their ball and went home.  Prove you're the first ballot, or current, Hall of Famers, that everyone says you are.  PROVE THAT.  Because I've seen the tapes.  I've seen the past.  I've watched you BOTH disappear when shit didn't go your way.

So Breakdown is your night...

Prove you're not little twat-waffle, BITCHES, who can't handle the pressure of losing.  Because I can.  I have.  I have not been the most successful, but I've kept fighting.  You two are bonafide Hall of Famers, and yet you can't handle a little downfall.  Shit Katie Steward is better at this than you are.  So grow the fuck up at Breakdown.  Be who everyone BELIEVES you can be.  Because that is who I want to face.

I don't want to face some sliver of hope, farce, of what Syren and Xander Valentine can be.  I want The best of the fucking best.  And if I can't get that, then expect me to expose you for being a shell of who you both once were.  I don't care how much Kandis helps in this.  I'm pissed at the fact you two have failed to live up to who and what I expected you to be.  And Xander, hearing what Jake told me, I'm embarrassed to even share a ring with you, after the number of times you have run away like a little BITCH...

Now does that bring forth the old Syren and Xander?

Because if not... The truth is, like death and taxes, you two are NOTHING, in today's SCW, but simply another Hall of Fame notch in the belt of "The One" Kirsten Scott!

See you at Breakdown... BITCHES...

The scene immediately cuts to black.

I did intend to do 2 for this match, but then I got some potentially terrible news about my health and it's kinda knocked me back a bit and I decided to lose myself in video games instead. I did debate just trying to catch up on some sleep I've not been getting the last few nights, but elected instead not to let Adam down when I'd already said I was going to write this week.

Enjoy.
