The Man Who Could: Chapter Three

[Flash]

The scene opens up with Flash bench pressing in the background. He finishes his set and re-racks the weights before sitting up. He takes a few moments, catching his breath before standing up. He grabs a towel, wiping himself off, before going over to a camera that’s already been set up.

Flash: “Well, Soren Cross…my second singles match here in SCW. You had a great start with the Taking Hold of the Flame and I know you’ll be hungry for more.”

Flash pauses.

Flash: “But sorry right now because I’m not going to be in a real nice mood for some competition. I got jumped backstage by Gavin Taylor and his goons and for reasons I don’t even begin to understand. I never had an issue with them. I don’t even remember running into them in the Taking Hold of the Flame and I don’t think they care too much for Glory anyways, so I’m not really sure why they jumped me. But I don’t appreciate it.”

“Nor do I mind my name being in people’s mouths just because. I heard you Marquis Dawson. And I’ve taken note of you too!”

Flash shakes his head.

Flash: “But that’s just going to mean that I have to take a break from hanging and banging at the beach, getting in the best shape I can, and trying to come out and take the fight to you. Soren, you seem like a swell guy. I don’t think I see much that makes me want to hate you. You’re just in my way. You came out at Taking Hold of the Flame. Another young guy just looking to get noticed. From Chicago, right? Well, looks like there’s a bunch of us looking to do that so every match matters. Every win matters. And that just means that I’m going to have to come and have it on my conscious that you’re going to be stopped by me. A shame, but that’s the business we’re in. But if you want, I’ll give you a fair fight, and I’ll take it to you, just as I did Glory Braddock.”

“And come Breakdown, we’ll see who the best man is on that night. And then Gavin, Barkers….I’m coming for you!”

“Wooooooooooooo!”

Flash cups his mouth and lets out his trademark yells as the scene fades out.
