Frustration is the best word to describe the emotions and feelings that have been fueling Kimberly Williams as of late. She does a great job of hiding it through her craziness and fun loving antics, but the frustration is still there; frustrated that SCW will not give her a legitimate one on one opportunity to regain her SCW Underground Championship. She is a five time champion, she gave so much blood and flesh to entertain the fans and to make the Underground meaningful, she elevated the championship to peaks that it had never been before; the main event of the Rise To Greatness Pre-Show and later the main event of an SCW pay per view. The Woman Scorned feels as if she is owed. She lost the title last year thanks to interference from James Evans and her only title matches since then as a four way match at Rise To Greatness and then an elimination chamber at Under Attack. Are they afraid of giving her a legitimate one on one shot? Is the current champion, Colleen, just ducking her? Whatever the reason may be, Williams is frustrated and growing more annoyed. Now she is being tasked with facing YUSA of the Shining Maidens at Dogfight in Dusseldorf. While Kim would rather be challenging for the Underground Title, she can at least take solace knowing that this is Underground Rules, she is facing the most recent former Underground Champion. A victory here could potentially set her up for a future Underground Title Match. With that in mind, Kimberly plans to throw every bit of her death match rage and fury at YUSA when SCW rolls into Germany.
Her lack of Underground opportunities isn’t the only thing that has been frustrating The Queen of the Death Match lately. Kimberly recently was on a journey to learn more about her grandfather, Bart Jones, in hopes of connecting not only with his memory but finding out just where she fits in with the Jones family. She was always accepted by her blood relatives, the Joneses, but she never quite felt like she fit in. She never knew where she fit in. But now, after her trip overseas, after her trip to Poland where she learned the truth about what really happened to the late Bart Jones, she finally understands where she fits in. She knows what makes her a Jones. Yet despite this she feels a sense of frustration regarding a new truth she learned about her mother. Apparently Angelica Jones hasn’t been telling Kimberly the whole truth after all. Tonight, now that Breakdown has concluded, Kimberly plans to confront her mother about the truths she recently learned overseas.
Mother and daughter, Angelica and Kim, are walking in a dimly limit space backstage in the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. Soft spotlights shine down from the ceiling, casting gentle shadows and illuminating various elements in the background, including tall shelving units and packing crates. Kimberly looks like her usual, laid back, chill self wearing a simple gray t-shirt with the SCW logo printed on the front, light blue and slightly faded jeans, and simple black converse sneakers. Her long red hair is worn loose and straight that cascades over past her shoulders.
Angelica, in stark contrast, is far more professional and refined; she is wearing a white crisp blouse with long sleeves rolled neatly at the cuffs, the blouse is tucked into a sharply tailored black pencil skirt with a hem that ends just above the knees. On her feet, she wears pale gray high heels with a subtle shine, their sleek design elevating her presence. Her reddish hair is more styled than Kim’s, swept to one side in a polished manner.
“Y’know something? I’m beginning to dislike DinoCHBK…”
“Don’t start.” Angelica shakes her head. “You can’t go running off yet another general manager. Remember the Shaun Cruze incident?”
“At least annoying Shaun Cruiserweight was fun. CHBKLMNOPQRS…
“Kim!”
“Sorry!” Kim feigns innocence. “But yeah, CHBK is beginning to piss me off.”
“Because he won’t just give you an Underground Title shot?”
“Precisely. And don’t go on some rant about how I need to earn it. I am a five time champion, tied for the record of most Underground Titles won. I have elevated that championship to new heights never before thought of. That title was just a joke before I held it. I put it into the main event scene. Now look at what happened to it. When YUSA held it, it was a toy for those anime obsessed girls. And now that Colleen holds it, no one even knows that the title exists because Colleen is a forgettable person. And me?” She sighs. “CHBK just up and forgot that I exist? He forgot to give me a chance to kick someone’s ass? I had to keep myself entertained with Jaina the past few weeks.”
“Well you don’t have to worry about it anymore.” Angelica shakes her head. “You have match at Dogfight in Dusseldorf. And it’s Underground Rules. You should be happy.”
“I AM happy that it’s Underground Rules. I AM happy that I can remind YUSA and everyone else who really runs this division. I am NOT happy that I still am not in line for a title shot.” She points an accusatory finger at Angelica. “What do I even pay you for?”
“You don’t pay me.” Angelica winks. “I’m your mother, remember?”
“Oh right…” Kim snickers “...that explains the crappy service. But still, if I beat the crap outta the former champ YUSA then maybe that will force CHBKLMNOPQRS…”
“KIM!” Angelica exclaims, again trying to get her daughter to focus.
“Right! Sorry! Just all those letters make me want to sing the alphabet. Anyway, yeah, I beat YUSA, I can force CHBK’s hand.”
“See? That is the right approach.” Angelica pats her daughter on the back. “Earning your title shot rather than griping is the way to earn your respect around the SCW locker room. And by playing by the rules and winning matches I can do a better job of advocating on your behalf to get you what you want.”
“What I’m hearing is that you’re talk to the dinosaur about getting me a title shot if I go through with this match against YUSA?”
“Exactly.”
“Great! Then I’ll do my job and bludgeon YUSA so much that she will just be a maiden, there won’t be anything shining about her.” Kim smirks knowingly.
“You do that, Kim.” Angelica remarks. “Oh, but uh, there is something else I wanted to ask you about real quick.”
“What’s that?”
“Your trip overseas to Poland.” Angelica remarks. “You’ve been back awhile now but you never told me what you learned. You never told me anything about your trip.”
Williams feels her emotions peak just for a moment. The reminder about her trip to Poland also brings back the memories of what she learned, not only while in Poland but what she learned when she returned home, when she spoke to the black sheep of the Jones family Anastasia Ivanova. What she learned, the truth that Angelica had been keeping, does upset Kim. She considers going off on her mother right then and there but decides against it. Instead Kim, having spotted a nearby vending machine, quickly turns and makes a beeline for it.
“Gotta make a pit stop!” Kim declares, hoping her mother won’t detect the obvious change in subject. “I have a craving for a Nutty Buddy! I love those things!”
“Kim…” Angelica follows her daughter towards the vending machine.
“Oh! There’s a Pepsi machine too! I need a Pepsi…”
“Quit changing the subject.” Angelica states. But Kim just fumbles through her pocket, ignoring her mother as she pulls out some cash and puts it into the vending machine.
“Nutty Buddy…” she pushes a button “...come to momma!”
“You’re not getting out of this.” Angelica smirks. “You went to Poland to learn about your grandfather, my father. And quite frankly, I’d love to hear about what you learned. I mean, he meant a lot to me and if there’s something you know…” Angelica’s voice trails off. Kim sighs as she reaches down, picks the Nutty Buddy out from the vending machine, and then turns to face her mother. She offers her the Nutty Buddy.
“Want one?”
“Not really.”
“Your loss.” Kim shrugs her shoulders.
“Just quit avoiding the topic.” Angelica says, her own frustrating beginning to show. “What happened in Poland?”
“Are you sure you wanna know?”
“Kim, I have experienced some damn traumatizing stuff in my life.” Angelica says bluntly. “There isn’t much that can shock me now. So yes, I’m sure. I want to know.”
“Well I did find out what happened to Bart…I mean my grandfather…after he was taken overseas.”
“Yes?”
“He died.” Kim says bluntly. “Maybe the Russian mafia, maybe Russian agents, I’m not sure, but they tried to smuggle him back into Russia. They couldn’t make it. Somehow he got away but was critically injured. He was put up in a hospital in Poland where he died from the wounds he sustained at the hands of his captors.”
“Oh…” Angelica briefly shows signs of grief and sorrow but then she quickly recovers, quickly regains her composure, and nods her head “...I figured as much. We hadn’t heard from him in several years, you know? It was unlikely he would be found alive.” Angelica sighs, wiping a tear from her eye. “At least we know the truth now. At least there is some closure.”
“There’s more.” Kim says. “After he died he was cremated and his daughter took possession of his ashes and brought them over to America.”
“Who?” Angelica furrows her brow. “Kayla? It wasn’t me, so it had to be Kayla. But she didn’t tell me about any of this.”
“There you go, mom.” Kim smirks. “You forget that you and my aunt Kayla have another sister…a half sister…”
“What are you…” then its hits her, a light bulb goes off over Angelica’s head “...Anastasia!”
“That’s right.” Kim nods her head. “The black sheep of the family has his ashes. Y’know, I can kinda relate to her. I was the black sheep once.”
“That bitch!” Angelica is enraged, the fury is etched across her face as she paces the floor like a caged lion. “She had my father’s ashes this entire time and didn’t tell me?! I’m gonna tear her apart! I’m gonna…”
“Calm down.” Kim says. “I mean, the irony that the psychotic daughter is telling the sane mother to calm down is not lost on me. And as much as I would love to bond with my dear mother over maiming someone, I really think you should calm down and think this through.”
“Calm down?!” Angelica snaps angrily. “She stole my father’s ashes!”
“Yeah, well, technically that’s HER father’s ashes too.” Kim points out with a grin and a wink. “If I recall, grandpa Bart got jiggy with a Ukrainian prostitute and that’s where Anastasia came from.”
“Kim, you don’t understand.” Angelica shakes her head. “Listen, she…”
“No, I think you need to listen for a moment.” Kim answers sharply. “You and Aunt Kayla never did treat Anastasia as truly part of the family. And you know what? That hurt her. And as someone who was rejected by her own family in the past, I get where she’s coming from. I thought I had a family in the Queens of Chaos but they decided I wasn’t good enough for them and kicked me out. At least I still had you all, the Jones family, my blood family, but even still with you guys I never truly felt as if I belonged. You and my sisters are fashionistas, you love to live the life of luxury, and none of that is me. You and my sisters love to win just for the sake of winning, for material gain. I have always had a broader, sometimes abstract, vision. So I get it, I truly get what Anastasia goes through.” She looks deep into her mother’s eyes. “Tell me, why do you dislike her so much, mom? Is it because she’s a little quirky and wacky? I mean, that can’t be it because I’m quirky and wacky and yet you love me.”
“Kim, don’t…” Angelica’s voice trails off.
“Maybe it’s because you are upset with your dad? Anastasia’s very existence is proof of the affair he had, proof that he cheated on your saintly mother.”
There is a long tense pause as Kimberly stares deep into her mother’s eyes, waiting for her response. Eventually Angelica starts crying. Jones reaches up and wipes the tears from her eyes and then nods her head.
“I admit that I had known about my father’s affair for a long time and yes, I hated him for it.”
“It’s ok. We all make mistakes, Bart made plenty.” Kim grins. “But his sins are not Anastasia’s.”
“You’re right.” Angelica sighs. “I’m sorry, Kim. Do you think it would be possible for me to…uh…see his ashes?”
“Of course.” Kim nods her head. “Anastasia would love it, just as long as you treat her like a sister and not like a leper.”
“Got it.” Angelica chuckles. “So is there anything you learned about your grandfather?”
“Duh!” Kim grins from ear to ear. “It turns out that me and my grandfather are a lot in like in certain ways; neither one of us viewed material gain as equivalent to success. We both viewed success as doing good things, doing what’s right.”
“Yes, your grandfather did always fight for justice…even at the expense of his own life…and it annoyed me.” She shakes her head. “I long held a grudge against him because his fierce battle as an FBI agent against the Russian mafia brought so much trouble upon the family. It took me a long time before I could ever forgive him.”
“See? His cause was justice. And he took crazy risks for the sake of justice. I do dangerous, crazy shit for the sake of my cause and I, like grandpa, annoy the crap out of you!” Kim says gleefully. Angelica chuckles and nods her head.
“Yes and I suppose I’ll just have to learn to accept it.” Angelica sighs. “Though sometimes I wish you would take a little more after your grandfather and fight for right, for justice, rather than for chaos.”
“But chaos IS justice. Chaos is right.” Kim winks. “And yes, I have some plans outside of wrestling to use chaos to do some good in the world.”
“How’s that?” Angelica asks curiously.
“You’ll see.” Kim winks knowingly. “Though I might need the name and number of a good real estate agent.”
“Real Estate?” Angelica rolls her eyes. “Good Lord…”
“Don’t worry, I think I’m going to use the one that helped me and Tommy buy our new place.”
“You and Tommy are moving in together?” Angelica grins. “I am soooo happy to hear this! You have been dating for so long, it’s time you started living together!”
“Oh hush.” Kim smirks. “You don’t care about me and Tommy living together. You just never liked my former living conditions.”
“Your home was barely livable.” Angelica remarks. “I’m surprised no one condemned it. How do you live like that?”
“Because, unlike you, I don’t particularly enjoy luxury. I prefer simplicity. Living like that keeps me grounded.”
“Well I just hope your new place is at least a little more upscale. Surely your boyfriend wouldn’t want to live in squalor.”
“Tommy will live where I tell him to live.” Kim smirks knowingly. “But yeah, for his sake I did make sure to upgrade the living accommodations.”
“Good.” Angelica leans in and embraces her daughter. “I really am happy for you both.”
“Thanks, mom.”

Several days have passed since Breakdown in Glendale, Arizona. The next stop will be in Dusseldorf, Germany for Dogfight, but for now Kim is making a pit stop to finish moving into her and her boyfriend Tommy’s new home. Kim had spent most of her life living in run down squalor, barely livable conditions. This new home, with its sleek modern fixtures and historical charm, felt foreign to her, almost sterile. It will certainly take some getting used to. Kimberly Williams stepped over the last box, her worn sneakers scuffing the freshly polished hardwood floor of their new townhouse in Boston. She was dressed in her usual style; ripped black jeans that clung to her slender frame, a plain black t-shirt that hung loose on her small shoulders, and an oversized army-green jacket that looked like it had been dragged through a war zone. She stood in the center of the living room, surveying the space with a mix of discomfort and fascination. Her boyfriend, Tommy Wasley, entered behind her, carrying the last of the boxes. His fitted flannel shirt was rolled up to his elbows. His dark jeans were worn, and his boots were scuffed but sturdy. He paused in the doorway, setting the box down and brushing his shaggy brown hair back with his hand.
“Well it’s no crumbling tenement, but it’ll do, huh?”
The interior of the house was an uneasy mix of old and new. The high ceilings, intricate crown molding, and large bay windows with their original glass panes spoke to the building’s historic roots. However, the previous owners had modernized the kitchen with sleek marble countertops, stainless steel appliances, and recessed lighting that felt cold compared to the warm glow of the antique brass chandelier in the dining room. The living room, where they now stood, was expansive and bright, the sunlight streaming in through the tall windows and reflecting off the pale gray walls.
“It’s too clean.” Kimberly complains.
“Babe, a medieval dungeon is too clean for you!”
“This is true.” She says. “But Wasley…not you, my penguin…won’t know how to handle himself! And what about Caligula?”
“The hamster will adjust.” Tommy kisses her on her lips. “Just like you will.”
“I hope so.” Kim sighs. This place still doesn’t feel right.”
“Hell, I’m surprised you wanted to do this in the first place. I mean, you know I woulda moved into your place if you wanted, don’t ya?”
“I know you would.” Kim says with a playful grin. “And as much fun as that sounds, I don’t want to force you into some place you wouldn’t be comfortable and you definitely wouldn’t be comfortable in my place.”
“And you’re comfortable here?” Tommy asks skeptically.
“No, but like you said, I will adjust. Besides, this is a nice happy medium between MY style and the style of my family…” she shudders “...I still remember having to house sit for Marie last year. Living in that mansion of hers is crazy!”
“Y’know, Kimmy, I noticed some changes in you lately.”
“Good ones, I hope!” Kim exclaims.
“Ever since you returned overseas things are a little different. I always enjoyed you the way you were, Kimmy, but now you seem willing and able to take our relationship further. You want to get closer. How long have we been dating and yet we never moved in together?”
“Almost four years.”
“Yeah, four years and we never took the next step beyond the occasional date night.” Tommy smirks. “I was beginning to worry about you and I. About us.”
“Well let’s just say that I’ve been enlightened about a great many things since my trip overseas. What I learned there about my family helped me to learn more about myself and where I fit into the family. It helped me see things in a different light.”
“You aint gonna change too much are ya?” Tommy asks chuckling. “I did love the old Crazy Kim.”
“Don’t worry! Crazy Kim is still here! I just realize that there are more important things in life. Take my living accommodations for instance. I lived in a dump, the worst part of town, and I did it to remain grounded, to keep myself from becoming like my mom and my sisters who I thought were too obsessed with wealth and power. But now I realize that while I could easily afford something much better than that, there are those out there who would kill to live in a place like that but cannot even afford it.”
“What are ya getting at?” Tommy asks curiously, his eyebrow arched.
“When I lived there I never used my own untapped wealth because I never needed to. But now I am going to use that wealth, but not on myself like my family would. Instead I am going to use it to do some good. I am going to buy up some real estate and rent it out to people in need.”
“So you’re gonna be a landlord? Landlady?”
Yes!” Kim exclaims. “And the rent is gonna be super cheap. Like, practically nothing.”
“Seriously?” Tommy furrows his brow. “How cheap are we talking?”
“I dunno.” Kim shrugs her shoulders. “But does it matter? If this project falls flat on its face, who cares? If I lose everything, big deal. I can go back to living in squalor again and I’d be happy! Or I could live in that shack in the wilderness…”
“Isn’t it burned down?”
“Don’t split hairs, Wasley!” Kim exclaims.
“Ok, I’m just saying, if the rent is too cheap you could attract some shady people.”
“Oh don’t be all stuck up like my mother.” Kim rolls her eyes. “People aren’t as bad as you make them out to be. They just were dealt a bad hand in life and might need a little help. I can help them.”
“You sure?” Tommy asks.
“Positive.” Kim nods her head. “Now help move the rest of this stuff in and unpack. In the next day or two I gotta leave for Germany. I have a shining maiden to maim.”
