There was a point in time when Ruby Amarant said that Scarlet Grey not having her around to keep her in check would be a challenge SCW would struggle to handle.
Now, more than ever, Scarlet knew for sure Ruby wasn't simply saying that to simply hype her up.
The curvaceous crimson bombshell felt like she at least had a consolation prize when she was ejected from the tourney to crown a number one contender to the U.S. Title, considering Datura had to be helped to the back afterwards. There wasn't a doubt in Scarlet's mind that Regan Street felt nothing but amusement in seeing the woman who had tormented her for most of the year being injured at the hands of someone who, in her mind, probably had no business sharing the ring with that woman to begin with. Granted, hearing that Datura's injury allowed Derek Adonis a free pass to the finals did not sit well with her, considering it was a known fact she'd pulverized the walking tub of lard recently already and would easily do so again if allowed to replace the woman she injured.
True, Scarlet still lost, but she was well and truly convinced it was some sort of screwjob considering what happened in the aftermath.
The very thought had her fuming as she stared down her reflection in her bedroom mirror while trying to apply makeup, though her frustrations boiled over into constantly having to start over because it was being ruined by unsteady hands from her boiling nerves. She had a date tonight and knew full well that if she could calm herself down just a tiny bit, she could play her way into a night that would help her temporarily forget about the way she felt she was being treated in SCW. First, she had to actually calm down though, and that seemed easier said than done right now.
Grey: Why the hell do I even have to appease this guy's request for a date? It's not like we're going to meet up again after we screw, and I just need to forget all about that SCW bullshit so badly!
She wiped her face clean and tried to take a few deep breaths before starting over, reminding herself that this was a pretty nice score if she just played along for a few hours. After all, she'd managed to talk her way into a date and an “afterparty” with a fairly high profile businessman who claimed to have plans to run for President in the near future, and a score like this was easy money as far as her own twisted aspirations went.
Grey: I kind of wish Rubes was still around to talk me down when I'm like this... but I can't deny that she's happy now and hopefully we'll both still succeed as we stand for my little empire.
A smile graced her lips as Scarlet at least managed to relax somewhat at the thought of Ruby, or Valeria as she had gone back to identifying as. She knew many people still had questions about the seeming dissolution of the Red Empire in SCW, but the two women had shared a quiet moment of understanding with the cameras rolling and that's all that needed to be said. Valeria had Maria now and the two women were starting to try and make a splash together in tag team action, and because of that Scarlet was unshackled to blitz the singles divisions of the company and try her hand at obtaining gold in a different capacity.
That thought led to her thinking about her immediate future. With the U.S. title out of reach at the moment because of how the tourney broke down, she found herself lacking a match at the upcoming PPV. Instead, she was positioned in a non-title affair with adrenaline champ Asher Hayes on the upcoming Breakdown, a thought that both annoyed and intrigued her. After all, it was naother person involved with Regan in some rivalry capacity, and at this point she couldn't help but think that despite not getting a title shot herself if seemingly doing the Hellcat some favors would open a few doors.
Grey: I did dispose of Datura for her... if I do the same to Asher, maybe she'll go over Sasha's head and give me a title shot when the belt has to be forfeited to her.
It was an enticing thought, especially thinking of the look on Sasha's face when she had to drop the bad news before handing that belt over to a woman who was supposedly in her good graces after fighting so much with her father for so long. Something about the belief that Regan had the kind of influence to reward Scarlet for her help without even asking for it and Sasha's meltdown over not being able to stop something that one of her favorite champions wanted had her feeling more giddy than the date she was preparing for.
Grey: I can't deny that it did feel good watching Datura limp away... winning would've made it all feel better, but I feel like screwing her over in a way where she won't forget me somehow makes up for it a little bit. Poor Sasha, having to wave goodbye to someone under her care because she pissed off the wrong bitch.
Scarlet let out a chuckle as she continued putting on her makeup, though if anyone else were watching they would notice that she almost seemed like she was starting to turn herself into a pretty little psychopath wioth a smile that resembled the Joker of Heath Ledger fame. She certainly didn't seem like she was fully paying attention, even as her voice seemed to slip into a tone that hadn't really been heard leaving her mouth before: that of cold and calculated malevolence.
Grey: Sasha thinks she can just forget about me that easily, huh? Well, it's kind of hard to forget about someone who's both sexy and dangerous. If she thinks she can shrug off how my body makes her feel, then maybe she'll open her eyes to those who fall at my hands. It worked for that Xander guy, after all...
All of a sudden, she broke out into a maniacal laugh that almost sounded spot on for someone seemingly trying to become a real life version of the Joker, but as soon as it started it left just as quickly. Scarlet stared at herself in the mirror, almost like snapping out of a trance, carefully taking notice of a tear rolling down her cheek that was ruining the makeup that she clearly didn't like anymore.
Grey: Oh shit... maybe Rubes was right in a way she didn't truly understand. I think I'm starting to lose it again... and yet... I can't help but fee;l that maybe I kind of have to... all just to get the attention and recognition I craze from those idiots who don't truly understand what kind of threat I am.
She pondered the thought briefly before an alarm on her phone starting going off, serving as a warning of sorts that if she didn't snap out of it she'd be late. She quickly wiped off all the makeup for the umpteenth time and settled on a look that was fairly quick and still worked with the curve-hugging dress she'd chosen. A chance to get her way into a future powerful position in the bedroom was a more immediate priority, but afterwards?
Maybe Breakdown would be the site where SCW would start to see what carnage arises when Scarlet Grey begins to unravel.
*
As our scene fades in, the first thing we notice is a monitor dominating our view, showing what looks like a replay of the finals match from the U.S. Title contender tourney from the previous Breakdown. It should come as no surprise that Tommy Valentine won that match over Derek Adonis, but there is one person out there who is quite upset about the match as a whole. Our shot pans back to find Scarlet Grey laying on a crimson-colored couch, watching the match unfold with a look of annoyance. Unsurprisingly at this point, she's decked out in a very revealing red and black bra and thong, purposely stretching out her legs as the match reaches its conclusion. She lets the Breakdown replay roll on as her attention shifts to her legs, and while the viewers are no doubt enticed by what they see, something about the sight has her facial expression remaining frozen in irritation.
Grey: You know, there are plenty of people out there who love spouting this little phrase of “don't look a gift horse in the mouth” or something like that. To me, they might say such a thing as proof that despite all my claims of Sasha not caring for me because I'm everything she wishes she could be in a woman and she has a problem with the way I carry myself because of it, she still “gave me my due” by putting me in the tourney to begin with. If you ask me, she'd have shown it better by just bypassing that nonsense and giving me the title shot no matter how often that prude model wants to hide behind her shallow complaints and hypocrisy because she knows she can't measure up to me in any capacity, but I know how this works. Let's all throw out reasons why I've barely gotten any title opportunities since surfacing in SCW to make you all feel better, but there's one thing that no one, aside from Sasha apparently, can truly dispute, and that's the fact that I was robbed in this tournament.
Grey: How, you ask? Well, how about the fact that the woman who STOLE a victory over me in the first round couldn't even continue on after the fact because I put her on the shelf?
Grey: I want that concept to process in your heads for a moment, because whatever moral ground you think you stand on crumbles away when it becomes painfully clear as to what really happened. In the first round I was matched up with Datura, and yeah, she managed to steal a win over me using tactics the referee was blind to notice and many of you would probably conveniently claim you “didn't see” but she limped to the back afterward. This woman, who gave the “big, bad” Regan Street so much trouble all year, is now OUT OF COMMISSION because of ME. That is a fact I can hold over the Hellcat's head for as long as I damn well see fit. And yet, I can't take the pride in it that I want to because instead of seeing the perfect opportunity to fix a glaring mistake by giving me Datura's spot in the semi-final because I clearly had her beat to begin with, Sasha decided to give a man I've destroyed before a free pass to the finals. At least Tommy would've gotten a challenge in more ways than one standing across the ring from me at the end, but instead he gets handed a title shot while I'm once again given the shaft. And no, I'm not talking about THAT kind of shaft unfortunately.
As if to further illustrate her point, Scarlet shakes her leg a bit, proving that unlike Datura's, hers is in perfect condition and she was ready to go if needed (which she should've been). As it is, she can only shake her head and silently curse ou the woman in charge because it's not like she actually listens to her talent anyways to warrant anything louder.
Grey: So here we are... Under Attack is days away and instead of a long overdue title opportunity I find myself with no place on the card at all. You'd think at the very least she could've thrown together a second chamber match and dangled a title opportunity in front of myself and five other people, but apparently I'm being forced to sit out. Let me guess Sasha... punishment for hurting poor little Datura? Long overdue karma for some silly vendetta you're still holding against me for “denying Aaron his PPV opportunities” last year because he was too blind to see what he could've had instead of what he insists on sticking with? Or maybe you're just trying to ignore that I even exist unless you need someone to throw into a random match because I'm not getting in your face and throwing a hissy fit every single week like a certain group of anorexic mannequins every time they notice the cameras are turned on?
Grey: I don't care what games you think you can play with me Sasha, but I can promise it'll be a lot harder for you to ignore me going forward. After all, I know something you can't possibly turn a blind eye to, especially with everyone being so critical of your place as the “head bitch in charge” around here.
Grey: When you look at the Breakdown card for this week, what do you see? If you look hard enough, you'll find my name across from Asher Hayes, which is quite interesting. Ignoring the fact that his adrenaline title isn't on the line because Sasha needs to preserve her “big money rematch” for Under Attack and he needs an excuse to hide behind, you probably think this is meant to be nothing more than a tune-up for Asher. He gets a quick win to have momentum going into a rematch with Regan, and that's it. Problem is, he's facing someone that Regan should owe quite a bit to at this point. As I said earlier, I'm the reason Datura is out of the picture and now out of Regan's head, robbing Asher of whatever psychological advantage he was hoping to rely on like he did in their last match. And now, by facing me, he's putting himself at risk of not being able to face Regan at full strength, if at all.
Grey: I mean... what kind of boss would Sasha be if she ignored the safety and well-being of her performers as they drop like flies after conveniently crossing my path?
Now Scarlet grins as she slowly stands up, stretching herself out as the camera pans up towards her face, allowing the viewers to take in every breathtaking curve and exposed area of flesh to keep them occupied in a state of pure bliss for the next few hours, perhaps even days if you download a copy of this recording.
Grey: Now, I have nothing against you Asher, aside from a headache knowing that you won't give me what you know I want because Sasha has you by the balls like she does every other good little guy around here. It's a shame really, because I had so much to offer you in return, no matter who takes the win at the end of the night... but, the tantalizing sight before you is unfortunately off-limits because you won't pay me in gold to get a taste, and since I know she has to be paying attention now after I screwed up her little tourney, I can promise she'll have no choice but to open herself up for business ith me after I put one of her title matches on Sunday in jeopardy. You aren't the man you once were Asher, that much is clear, and considering what I've already done to one woman who just so happened to be a headache to your current rival, I think that deep down you know full well you're better off simply foregoing this match. Sure, you don't get the win you probably think you need, but at least you'll be certain that Regan is the only angry bitch you have to contend with this week and I'm sure your old bones will thank you for it.
Grey: Make no mistake Asher: this match is going to be a lot more than a walk in the park for you, no matter how much you want to believe that's all this will be. What happened to Datura was only the beginning... perhaps you all should've heeded some of Ruby's warnings before she decided to pursue other interests in the name of the Red Empire on a quieter front. Since she's preoccupied with her new friend now, I have nobody to restrain me from doing whatever I feel is necessary to get your undivided attention and make you bow down before the one true goddess in this world. So what is a few casualties are necessary along the way? I doubt Regan will complain too much when she gets her title back, and she can even repay me for helping her clear her head en route to doing so. That at least makes her a lot less selfish and cowardly than you Asher. After all, if you're so confident that you can beat me, then what have you got to lose?
Scarlet leans down, an endless canyon of cleavage serving as quite an enticing visual for the man she's hoping will still change his mind before Breakdown goes on the air. While she remains in this position, she does shake her head as a frown graces her lips.
Grey: Sadly, I know the ansswer to that question, especially since the Asher Hayes willing to take rissks for the excitement that doesn't exist in his life otherwise died years ago when everyone was certain you'd finally thrown in the towel. We both know you won't put the title on the line against me, and we both know you'll try to end this quickly just in case there's any hint that I might possibly be able to make good on my threats towards you. It's no fun, but that's the way you work, right? Thing is... we're not playing by your rules come Breakdown Asher. We're playing by MINE, and trust me when I say that even if you won't grow a set and defend that gold against me, I'm not leaving Kansas City empty handed. The sound of you screaming in pain, watching you limp to the back and hearing later on that you may not be able to compete at Under Attack after all... that'll be enough to tide me over for now.
Scarlet winks to the camera, her smirk returning before she slowly turns and saunters out of the shot, letting the camera fixate itself on her swaying ass before fading to black with her threats still fresh in everyone's minds.
