Journey, a quest, sometimes these quests can start and be completed in just a matter of moments. Other times these journeys can last an entire lifetime. Oftentimes the more precious the journey, the more important the quest is to the individual, the longer and more difficult the path will be for them to complete the journey. When it comes to Glory Braddock, her journey since first signing with Supreme Championship Wrestling has been to become Supreme Champion. Many questioned her decision to join SCW, many doubted her ability to thrive in the company. Braddock is a prideful wrestler and wanted to prove them all wrong, she wanted to prove her critics and doubters wrong by completing the Supreme Championship, which is to say winning every championship available to a competitor. Now, four and a half years after signing with the company, Glory Braddock’s Supreme Championship quest may finally be nearing the finish line. She has only one championship left to win and that is the SCW World Tag Team Championship. After a long search for a suitable tag team partner, a search that nearly proved fruitless and pointless, the perfect tag team partner finally walked right up onto her front doorstep so to speak; Braddock’s old friend, Brittany Lohan. Braddock and Lohan are no strangers to one another. They have been tag team partners before, they have been tag team champions before in other promotions. They already have the chemistry, they know each other very well, and they have a track record of success. If anyone can lead Glory Braddock to the final piece of her Supreme Championship puzzle, it is Brittany Lohan.

Rise To Greatness is now just a little over two weeks away and The British Bombshell already knows just what she and Lohan will be doing at the biggest show of the SCW calendar year. The duo known as Twisted & Sadistic will be facing Team Desire, another group who seeks Supreme Championship status. Someone will be taking a big step forward closer to their end game while the other will be taking a giant step backward. Glory does not intend to be the one who takes a step backward. This coming Breakdown, the last Breakdown before Rise To Greatness, she and Lohan will be teaming together for the first time in ages as they face Colleen and Aisling, the Playgirls; well, they used to be the Playgirls. Polly Playtime, their mentor or leader of sorts, hasn’t been seen or heard from in a long time. Still, Glory Braddock has a history with Colleen and Aisling due to her own feud with Polly that recently came to an end. The British Bombshell will now be renewing her history with the former Playgirls, only this time she has Brittany Lohan fighting by her side.

So for the first time in a long time, Glory Braddock is feeling genuinely optimistic about her future. She feels as if the light really is just up ahead, at the end of the tunnel. She feels as if she finally is nearing the finish line. She has a tag team partner and she has a match at Rise To Greatness. All paths seem to lead towards earning a future opportunity at the SCW World Tag Team Championship. There is much to celebrate but also much to prepare for; therefore The British Bombshell has traveled to her home away from home, her native land of England. She is staying in London but most of her time is being spent in Birmingham with her Blake O’Malley. Blake is a former wrestler and friend of her late father Glenn Braddock. Blake and Glenn were so close that Glory actually considered him and still considers him to be like an uncle more so than just a close family friend. O’Malley also trains wrestlers, just like Glenn Braddock once did, and Glory has been taking advantage of his wisdom lately. Braddock plans to continue training and working under Blake O’Malley, because she is convinced he can lead her to the promised land. Training for Breakdown and then Rise To Greatness will begin in earnest tomorrow morning but for now Braddock intends to celebrate her recent run of good fortune.

Braddock is at a pub in Birmingham, England; this is the same pub that her father Glenn would frequent with Blake after wrestling shows. Glenn Braddock may no longer be with them but Blake is keeping his spirit alive and well by continuing to frequent this pub. Now he is here with Glory Braddock, his newest charge. Blake is wearing black denim pants, black boots, and a plain gray torn t-shirt. He looks like a silver fox with his graying hair slicked back. He has a pint of Guinness in front of him that he is drinking. He sits at the bar, the seat next to him is empty but there is a glass of red wine where seemingly someone had just been sitting.

At another area of the pub we find a DJ who is working the bar for this special karaoke night. Standing next to the DJ is none other than Glory Braddock. Glory Braddock is wearing denim jeans, white sneakers, and a purple t-shirt. Her long blonde hair is pulled into a ponytail in the back.. She has a glass of red wine, merlot, sitting in front of her.

“So you wanna sing tonight, lass?”

“Damn right I do.”

“Great. What’s your name?”

“Glory.”

“And what song do you want to sing?”

“Best of Both Worlds by Van Halen.”

“I think I got that one. Just listen for your name, I’ll call when you’re up.”

“Thanks.” Glory says and with that she starts to walk away from the DJ and heads back towards the bar area. This is karaoke night and Glory Braddock never misses a karaoke night. Singing karaoke is one of her favorite things to do. She’s always on the lookout for places that do karaoke. Tonight this pub that her ‘uncle’ Blake frequents so much is hosting a karaoke night. It is so convenient for her to not only get out and enjoy herself, to celebrate, but to also spend some good bonding time with her longtime friend and trainer.

“You know, Uncle Blake? I remember this place being just a typical hang out spot. Nothing real special about it.”

“Yeah, and?” Blake says gruffly as he swigs some Guinness.

“And when did they start offering entertainment? Last week you told me that they had some local band come in. Now you tell me there’s karaoke tonight?” A grin forms on Braddock’s face. “You know how much I love karaoke! Why didn’t you tell me?”

“You never asked.” He glares at his new charge. “You moved away to the United States. You barely visit your home anymore. I didn’t think you’d ever be back.”

Braddock takes a sip of her wine and nods her head in agreement. “Yeah, I admit, I have been away far too long.”

“Why did you leave, if you don’t mind me asking?” Blake asks. Glory shrugs her shoulders.

“I dunno. I mean…this place, Birmingham, Southampton, all of it, there’s just so many memories. But the thing about memories is not all of them are good memories.”

“You miss your dad, huh?” Blake asks curiously.

“That’s definitely a part of it. Anytime I go to dad’s old wrestling school memories come rushing back. But there’s other memories too, Uncle Blake. Memories of the good times when mom and dad were together and happy…and how their separation impacted me. I spent my childhood, my teenage years, all here in England. I was formed into the person I was here in England and not all of those years were very pleasant.” She sighs as she takes a sip of her wine. “Maybe I shouldn’t have but sometimes just running from the past is easier.”

“You don’t seem to be running from your past.” Blake remarks with a grin. “I mean look at ya, you’re training with me again, in your home of England, and you are with your old tag team partner. What’s her name again? Brittany?”

“Yeah, Britt.” Glory nods her head as she sips her wine. “It is funny, I have fought against my past for so long, I have wanted to be different, to embrace change for so long now, and yet when push came to shove it was the past that helped me the most.”

“New isn’t always better. Remember that.” Blake says as he takes a big swig of Guinness. Glory chuckles softly.

“Now you remind me of my dad.”

“Your old man was a complicated bloke, but he was right about many things and that’s one of them. You shouldn’t embrace the past in every situation but you should always understand it and most importantly learn from it. Your past can and will come back to haunt you, Gloria.”

“Don’t I know it. I’m just glad my past did come back to haunt me. I have had many tag team partners during my career but easily my best partner has always been Brittany Lohan. If anyone can help me win those tag team titles, its her.” She starts to take another sip of wine but Blake places a hand on her arm to stop her.

“Now don’t get ahead of yourself. You don’t get to ride straight into a tag team title shot based on your reputation alone. You and Lohan have to earn it. You haven’t even had a match together as a unit in years. You’re gonna have to prove yourselves all over again. Now if I understand, your first two matches are already scheduled. Next week on Breakdown you face those two loony tune characters who put you in that crate.” Blake asks. Glory rolls her eyes.

“Yeah, Colleen and Aisling.”

“Right, focus on them. Then turn your attention to Rise To Greatness and Team Desire.”

The British Bombshell hears Blake’s words and knows full well that he is correct. She and Brittany have a fierce reputation for being a dominant tag team but that reputation and history was earned in other promotions. Twisted & Sadistic has never done anything in SCW and they haven’t teamed before in years. Earning a tag team title opportunity will take time but facing teams like the Playgirls and Team Desire will be two great big steps forward in their quest to become SCW World Tag Team Champions. Glory Braddock opens her mouth to respond to Blake O’Malley when she is interrupted by loud noises, loud shouting from nearby. This also gets the attention of Blake. He and Glory turn their attention towards the sound of the noises and they immediately spot Matthew Taylor approaching with two big glasses of beer, one in each hand, approaching them.

“Bloody hell…” Glory’s voice trails off “...he’s drunk.”

It does appear that way, as she notes Matthew is either stumbling around or making a piss poor attempt to dance his way over. The British Bombshell recalls the last time she saw Matthew in this very pub; he was drunk then as well and he hit on Glory. Blake had to smash him over the head with a glass to knock him out and escort Glory out of the bar safely. Once again Matthew appears to be drunk and by the look of anger on Blake’s face, Glory fears that more violence may be coming.

“Irish eyes are smilllliiiiinnnnng!!!!” Matthew sings gleefully as he approaches Braddock. Blake quickly stands up to get in between Matthew and Glory.

“Oh bloody hell, Matty, what’s wrong with you? Are you drunk again?”

“What does it look like, darling?” He smirks knowingly. Then he returns to singing. “IRISH EYES ARE SMILING!!!!”

“You’re not Irish.”

“And you’re not Floridian but that doesn’t stop you from living in DeSantis Land!”

“Matty, look, I apologize. I’m sorry that you are obviously still upset that I didn’t pick you to be my tag team partner. I am sorry but it’s over and done.” She sighs and shakes her head. “Just move on with your life. Please.”

“I promise. Cross my heart.” He winks. “But only if you’ve had a drink with me.”

“I already have a drink, Matty.” She motions to her wine.

“No, I mean this… “ he takes one of the bottles and pours it over Glory’s head. Matthew starts laughing hysterically. Blake O’Malley, however, does not think that this is funny at all. He snatches Blake by the throat.

“You pushed this too far, Matthew.” He says, growling.

“Who, whoa, hold up there.” Matthew says pleadingly. “I’m not drunk this time. It’s just a joke.”

“Ya think pouring a beer over her head is a joke?!”

“Hold on a sec, Uncle Blake,” Glory says as she gently pulls Matthew away from Blake “I think he’s being sincere. I mean, this isn’t beer. It’s…”

“Water.” Matthew says chuckled. “I had it colored to look like beer. To be honest, I haven’t had a drink since, well, the last time I got wasted here at the pub when you bashed a bottle over my head.”

“So you think he’s just acting?” Blake looks at Glory who nods her head.

“I think so, yeah.”

“I should get an Oscar.” Matthew says as he takes a playful bow. “I would like to thank all of the little people who made this moment possible.”

“I don’t think it’s very funny.” Blake says gruffly.

“I do.” Glory says with a grin on her face. “In fact, this sounds like just the thing me and my good friend Matty would do to one another, playing pranks and jokes on one another.” She looks deep into Matthew’s eyes. “So is it true? Are you feeling better?” She asks. Matthew nods his head.

“I am back and better than ever!” He exclaims happily. “And look, I sincerely apologize for acting like an ass…”

“You were more than just an ass, mate. You got drunk and hit on me at the bar, you stalked me at SCW shows trying to win me over even though I had told you over and over again that it wouldn’t work out between us.” She smirks knowingly. “But it’s ok, you were just acting like your own species.”

“My own species?” He asks curiously. Glory nods her head.

“Yeah, your own species…a jackass.”

“Well, I suppose I am a jackass.” He says with a soft laugh. “But if it’s all the same to you, this jackass would like to have his friend back.”

“Matty, that’s all I ever wanted. I’m just surprised it took you this long and an alcoholic binge to get it through your thick skull.” She embraces him in a tight hug. “Yeah, I want to be friends again.”

“Great.” He responds. After breaking the embrace he nods his head. “And honestly, I’m glad you found a tag team partner like Lohan.”

“You are?” Glory asks with an arched brow. Matthew nods his head.

“You two are perfect for one another. You have the speed and mat wrestling, she is a brawler and a power house. You compliment one another perfectly. You are the total package of what you’d want from a tag team. Plus you two have proven success whilst you and I…” his voice trails off. Glory puts a hand on his shoulder.

“We could have been something. But…”

“I never took this business seriously. I know. That’s always been my fatal flaw. One day, maybe, I will take wrestling more seriously. Until that day comes you need someone who takes things seriously. You need Lohan. She’s your best bet. Not me.” He turns his attention to Blake O’Malley, who is still scowling at Matt, staring daggers right through him. “How about you, big guy? Can you forgive me for…well…being me?”

“Part of me wants to break another bottle over your head for being stupid enough to pull a damn stunt like this. You know damn well I hate your little practical jokes.” Blake says as he goes off on a tangent.

“And yet you were the one who trained him.” Glory says, pointing a finger at Blake.

“Yeah, well, I only did it to spite your old man who also couldn’t stand him.”

“And I am eternally in your debt for that spitefulness.” Matthew says as he playfully bows before Blake, who just rolls his eyes.

“Oh for fuck’s sake. Quit fooling around. You’re fine.”

“Excellent!” Matthew kisses Glory on the cheek and then kisses Blake O’Malley on the lips. “We are one big happy family again!” Blake roughly pushes Matthew away.

“Do that again and I’ll follow through on my threat to bust a bottle over your head.”

“No need for that!” Matthew sits down at the bar and motions for the bartender. “Hey, get a glass of beer for me and two more of whatever these two are drinking. All of it is on me!”

“Oh Matty, you didn’t have to do that.”

“I know. I just wanted to.” He winks. Before Glory can sit down to continue drinking she hears the DJ from earlier…

“AND COMING UP NEXT, WE HAVE GLORY!!!”

Matthew turns to point at Glory. “That’s you.”

“No shit.” Glory says with a laugh.

“Knock ‘em dead.”

Glory nods her head in agreement as she turns and makes her way away from the bar and towards the DJ. Braddock is grinning from ear to ear. Not only does she have her tag team partner and a clear path to earning a tag team title match and possibly achieving Supreme Championship status, but she apparently has finally got her friend back. Matthew Taylor, her long time childhood friend who was jealous, wanted Glory for more than a friend and had been drinking himself into depression over Glory’s rejection, apparently he has finally recovered and is back to his old self again. Everything is seemingly going Glory’s way. This is definitely a reason to celebrate as she approaches the DJ. He hands her a microphone.

“Are you ready?”

“Always.”

The music begins to kick on, and Glory watches as the time ticks down, preparing herself to sing her heart out. She can finally just relax because there is no concern out there, no reason for her to worry. Everything in her life seems to be sorted. Is she ready? Of course she is. She has the support of her close friends like Matthew and Blake. She has a great tag team partner and trusted friend in Brittany Lohan. She has newfound confidence that the SCW World Tag Team Championships are within reach. Nothing Colleen, Aisling, or the Stewards can do will stop Braddock and Lohan from achieving this goal. Nothing will stop Glory Braddock from completing her journey.
