Breakdown Card - September 8, 2022
#1
SCW World Championship
Xander Valentine vs. Adam Allocco
Xander Valentine returned and stunned the world by attacking Adam Allocco. It was then revealed that Xander Valentine is using his Trios contract, having cashed it in during the hiatus for this opportunity. But it’s more than just for the World Title. Xander seems driven by a desire for revenge but more than for what it seems. For Adam Allocco, his first title defense is against a person he knows well but could be a significant challenge as he looks to keep writing his stunning comeback story here in 2022.

Alexis Quinne vs. Holly Adams
Alexis Quinne returns home and she returns home by facing off against a woman whom she has her fair share of issues, a result of Datura’s shift to the Brand and the Haus of Nirvana. Holly Adams meanwhile asserts she was robbed (see below) against Cid Turner, but also that her Brand has recovered from some notable embarrassments earlier this year. Holly Adams would love to humiliate Alexis Quinne in front of her hometown fans to make her point.

Konrad Raab vs. Deanna Frost
Konrad Raab is as unhinged as they come. While this will not be Underground rules, he faces the Underground Champion. This is fresh off Deanna Frost’s title win, and Konrad Raab’s continued harassment of Christy Matthews. What will happen when these two very different people clash on Breakdown?

Syren vs. Hairless Penguin
In unique matches, this may take the cake. Hairless Penguin has slowly emerged as an unlikely star. Syren, meanwhile, is arguably the most decorated wrestler in SCW history. Syren is biding time hoping to get her hands on Xander Valentine or Gavin Taylor in the near future. Hairless Penguin was given a mission by Lexy Chapel, but will that be derailed by this major challenge? How will Penguin respond to facing one of the greats?

Gavin Taylor vs. Giovanni “GiGi” Aries
Gavin Taylor is coming off the biggest win of his SCW career by facing off against the enigmatic Giovanni “GiGi” Aries. Now Taylor doesn’t need the services the Haus of Nirvana provides, but Aries will always look for opportunities to plug it or the Brand. Gavin Taylor’s plans seem to have changed also with Xander’s return, and Syren wants a rematch, so will his attention be where it needs to be?

Sarah Wolf vs. Kimberly Williams
Shaun Cruze isn’t wasting time. Whether this is because of Angelica Jones, a desire to offer peace to Kim Williams, or just a desire to prevent all out wars from taking over every building SCW runs. Sarah Wolf attacked Kimberly Williams, clearly making good on her promise to make her pay for failing to help her win the Tag Titles. Notable is that this match is not underground rules. Will that be a mistake? Additionally, we all expect Autumn Valentine to be watching closely as it’s clear she still hasn’t forgotten Wolf’s attack on the Rise to Greatness pre-show.

SCW Television Championship
Colleen vs. Holly was STILL Robbed
Polly’s Playgirls seem to be everywhere and one of them will have a chance to add some gold before their Tag Team Championship opportunities at Apocalypse. Colleen will face off against the wrestler formerly known as Clamidiya, now seemingly a billboard for Holly’s grievances since Rise to Greatness, as now she’s been renamed again, to “Holly was STILL robbed.” Lost in all of this is that Holly was STILL robbed has gained confidence and has an Adrenaline Championship match coming up too. This could be a very interesting match given that it could turn into a pick ‘em.

Calvan Greene vs. Danny Darko
Calvan Greene is actually booked this week. And he’ll face one of the two individuals he robbed of their start to the new season. Darko is looking to prove himself in the ring, while Calvan Greene is…also doing so. We don’t know what his aims are, but it’s clear that he’s still, in some ways, the same man he always was. We just hope he can tell us what he’s doing back in SCW!

Savannah Sunshine vs. Crystal Zdunich
Crystal Zdunich’s first match of the new season didn’t even get started thanks to Calvan Greene (See above). But SCW’s new season started with a bit more happiness as Savannah Sunshine debuted in her hometown. Now she looks to get started on the right foot.

2 RP Limit for singles; Word limits in play for all matches EXCEPT World Title match
Deadline: 11:59:59 pm ET THURSDAY, September 8, 2022

*NOTE DEADLINE*: This serves to give extra time with late show posting, but also is realistic given my moving schedule and start of classes this week.

A September 15 Card will be posted before Breakdown this week too. I just need to confirm someone’s schedule.
