“Supreme Championship Wrestling...”

A shot of Kelcey Wallace nailing Bree Lancaster with the Perfect Ending, followed by a shot of Steve Griffin hitting the Decimator off the top rope on CHBK at the first Rise to Greatness, before turning a shot of Jake Starr pumping up the crowd on his way to the ring, before turning into a shot of Ravyn Taylor sitting in the corner, waiting for the start of a match. We then see a shot of Katie Steward holding the Women’s Championship before cutting to a shot of Selena Frost hitting Vixen Cain with the Defying Gravity at Supreme Saturday: Just Desserts.

“The leading force in sports and entertainment today....”

MAIN SHOW:

“Psycho in my Head” by Skillet plays as we see a shot of Selena Frost standing on the stage, about to the run to the ring. We then see shots of Bree Lancaster hitting someone with the Rectifier and Simon Lyman posing with his arms out.

Maybe I'm just paranoid

Or maybe I'm just livin' a lie

Can't stop this screamin' voice

Or maybe I'm just sick inside

Shots of Asher Hayes hitting Dust to Dust on an opponent, before showing the Glimmer Sisters posing in the ring. Glory Braddock is next shown posing, before we see David Striker diving over the top rope and Josh Hudson standing on the stage, smiling. Shots of Chris Dumont, Simon Lyman and the European Fiery Nation follow, superimposed over the Breakdown logo.

This is the face

I hate the other side of me

Out of this cage

He breaks to take the life from me

Tell me, tell me, tell me

I'm not crazy

Syren is shown hitting Xander Valentine with the Total Makeover before showing the Phantom Troupe standing in the ring talking to the crowd. Glory Braddock is next shown hitting the London Plunge before we see The One Kirsten Scott proudly holding the SCW Television Championship. WASLEY is next shown as Kimberly Williams is seen smirking. The Breakdown logo flashes on the screen.

There's a psycho in my head

I'm closer to the edge

Makin' me feel like I'm livin' in misery, misery

Insane

These voices in my brain

Starting to feel like it's gonna be the death of me, death of me

Gavin Taylor hitting the Gavin Taylor Lariat on an opponent is next, before we see the Glimmer Sisters making her entrance. Konrad Raab punching Ace Marshall in a steel cage is shown next, before we see Light in the Darkness hitting Wisteria Waltz against an opponent. Lexy Chapel is then shown showing off Syren. Polly Playtime posing follows before we see James Evans powerbombing La Pequena Luz off the top rope.

There's a psycho in my, there's a psycho in my head

Shots of Deanna Frost, Ryan LeCavalier, Colleen MacDonald, Xander Valentine, and Amelia Nevado are shown before the Breakdown logo comes up on the screen.

We then cut to a live shot of the inside of the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. The crowd cheers as pyro shoots out from the base of the stage. The display continues for a few moments before spotlights circle the arena, and the cameras pan across the crowd for a few moments.

Sharper: “Breakdown is live from South Beach on a night with some huge matches in SCW!”

The cameras continue to pan throughout the crowd before settling at ringside where we see Adam Sharper joined by Jonathan Knots.

Sharper: “Hello again everyone. Adam Sharper here alongside Jonathan Knots. And tonight, as we mentioned, some huge matches. None bigger than Gavin Taylor facing Syren.”

Knots: “Time to go three for three! Time to show that Syren’s time at the top may be done!”

Sharper: “And along with that, Chris Dumont will face Polly Playtime. Our CEO booking two huge matches with major implications for his efforts to say the very least!”

The lights dim as a voice backed by piano music fill the arena. The crowd boos.

{That's the price you pay.... Leave behind your heartache, cast away
Just another product of today.... Rather be the hunter than the prey
And you're standing on the edge, face up... 'cause you're a NATURAL}

As the heavy music of “Natural” by Imagine Dragons kicks in the lights come back up and Bree Lancaster is standing on the stage, her arms spread wide. She's wearing the latest wear produced by Scott Burnside. Bree looks up as white sparks shower down behind her from the top of the set to the stage.

Knots: “One of the future standardbearers of this company! Everyone should pay attention!”

Sharper: “Last week, she had a successful return for her birthday, although the party afterward, a quiet affair was interrupted by Syren!”

Knots: “Don’t start. And you in the truck. Don’t replay it! Syren assaulted Bree! It was her birthday!”

Bree continues to hold her arms out as she makes her way down the ramp. Getting to the ring she walks up the steps and then steps into the ring. Bree goes to the center of the ring, arms out wide again, and does a slow turn. Bree then goes to her corner where she asks Jason Phillips to hand her a microphone. Phillips walks over to Bree and hands her the microphone. Bree takes it and walks over to the middle of the ring. The boos continue as Bree Lancaster looks around. The music fades out. Immediately, “Syren!” chants start to echo throughout the arena.

Bree: “Please…don’t tell me that Miami has stopped recognizing real talent!”

The crowd boos as Bree looks around.

Bree: “That’s fine…sometimes it takes time to retrain people to understand that they don’t need to settle for less. They don’t need to be pandered by someone who has had a perfectly serviceable career. Even opened some doors for others…but that the sport has passed them by. No one wins against father time.”

Sharper: “Father time? Syren is in her thirties! Bree Lancaster is only two years younger!”

Knots: “Yeah, but Syren’s put in some long hours on the road. Hard hours!”

Sharper: “Stop it!”

Bree: “And not everyone can survive as newer, better trained, better focused competitors come down the line. The fact is that Syren…your little stunt last week proved everyone right. To humiliate me…after Frank Delatosso was being a kind boss, recognizing an important day when I was stuck in a city I hate more than I could ever communicate.”

Bree pauses.

Bree: “Then again, this is what happens when people are actually jealous. For years, Syren has stood in this ring, backstage, anywhere people could heard her grating voice, and say ‘be totally jealous!’ Who knew that it was all just a front. But it’s fine, Syren…because you can stop pretending. You no longer have CHBK to protect you. And as Gavin has shown, your time at the top is coming to a close. It’s fine…we can have you still come out here, fans can go wild, while you compete on the third, maybe fourth match on the card, and until your contract runs out and we don’t have to deal with you anymore. And all that last week did, was prove to me how sad you are…and that I will have to put you out of your misery at Rise to Greatness!”

The crowd boos.

Bree: “It’s sad. But it will be necessary. Consider it my thank you to SCW for the opportunity to come back and lead.”

More boos as Bree looks around.

Bree: “Look at the talent that Frank Delatosso has accumulated. Alistaire Allocco is a top tier talent. I don’t even need to mention me. Gavin Taylor has finally lived up to his potential, even if we may disagree at times. Polly Playtime is finally getting her due. And history is always on the agenda with us in competition. We are reinventing the record books. And we do it without the drama. We just look to compete. To win. And to dominate. Because we can!”

Bree Lancaster smiles.

Bree: “And we’re just able to do it as we can do it knowing we have the support to compete to our level and get the recognition we deserve. And Syren, you can be jealous all day long. But you will ACCEPT it. So take your moment last week, where you drove my face into that cake, and enjoy it. It’s the last moment you’ll have the better of me!”

The lights in the arena plunge into darkness. A pulsing sound akin to a heartbeat plays out across the PA system as the fans cheer.

LEXY CHAPEL PRESENTS

The heartbeat gets faster before “Groupie” by Cassie Steele hits the PA system. After a few moments Syren comes through the curtain, holding a microphone in her hand. Bree Lancaster rolls her eyes and turns to the stage as Syren steps up.

Bree: “You don’t have to say anything, Syren. We all know the truth.”

Syren: “Oh Bree….”

Syren shakes her head, laughing a bit.

Syren: “Maybe some of the icing went up your nose and into your brain. If I ever become jealous of you, then that’s probably a sign of severe brain damage! You wake up next to Josh Hudson. If that’s not a cry for help-“

Bree: “And you wake up next to Ravyn Taylor. We can go with the personal shots. Syren, don’t embarrass yourself more.”

Syren: “Bree…allow me to make a point here. Miami!”

The crowd roars.

Syren: “Did you enjoy what I did to Bree Lancaster last week?”

The crowd roars. Syren smirks.

Syren: “Then it was worth it. Beyond that, I think I still see some chocolate cake behind your ear. You sure you got it all.”

Bree just scoffs.

Bree: “Yeah, nice. Keep enjoying it. Keep milking it. It’s all your going to have. From the moment I came back, it’s clear that you’ve just lost the plot. You’re just a felon, and someone who now realizes they can’t keep up at the top through skill along. They need to react with violence and bullying. But Syren, come Rise to Greatness, it will be your last hurrah when you fall at my hands.”

Syren: “We can see about that. I’ll happily come to Rise to Greatness and face you in that ring. But be careful what you wish for. Tonight, I have Gavin and I already know what to expect there. I saw it at Retribution. I saw it again since then. I’m going to make sure that Gavin gets his own reality check. And I hope you’re watching Bree. The New Order has only one playbook and it’s win by any means. While I’m not proud of it, I know that playbook better than you could hope. And I learned it under two of the smartest people to ever step into that ring. And Bree, I’ve been the standard bearer here in SCW for nearly two decades. I am not done yet. And you can accept that…or be so TOTALLY jealous!”

Syren steps back as “Groupie” starts to play. But as she turns, we see Gavin Taylor running up behind her. Syren however ducks a Gavin Taylor Lariat attempt. Gavin steps forward and turns around and Syren hits a superkick. The crowd erupts as Gavin falls back and then rolls down the rampway a few feet, holding his jaw. Syren then looks at Gavin and smirks before looking up at Bree who just runs her hand across her face.

Knots: “Cheap shot!”

Sharper: “Gavin tried it! Tried to jump Syren. Syren at the last moment saw it! And just sent a message!”

Knots: “Later! Later Gavin will get revenge. And Bree will be watching and loving it!”

Syren turns and heads to the back. Gavin rolls over, holding his jaw as the scene cuts away.

The scene opens up backstage in the loading areas of the building where we see an RV pulling up and parking in a designated parking spot. The RV turns off its ignition and we see a few moments pass before we see Wendell step off the RV.

Wendell: “I’ll check us in.”

Dexter Grant can be seen inside, nodding. Wendell then starts to walk towards the building but slows down as we see Dean Black walking forward. Chris Lawler is a few yards behind him.

Wendell: “Uh…can I help you?”

Black: “Just noticing you’ve finally arrived. You know talent is supposed to arrive early. Make sure they’re here for drug tests, any other information, the like.”

Wendell: “We got held up travelling in Georgia.”

Black: “Likely story. Just note that Dexter will be required to come into the building before his match. Don’t worry…I’ll consider you both checked in.”

Wendell looks at Black and looks around before turning and heading back. We notice Dexter Grant watching from inside the RV, boring a hole in Dean Black as the scene cuts away.

COMMERCIALS

Scarlett Carsons vs. Soren Cross

The arena goes dark without warning.

A low church bell tolls through the darkness. A single white spotlight snaps on at the top of the ramp, cutting through thick blue fog that pours outward like breath in winter. The opening whisper of SANCTIFY ME crawls in beneath it—soft, intimate, wrong—Maria Brink’s voice sounding less like a singer and more like a confession caught on tape.

The tron doesn’t play video. It plays stained glass. Cracked, fractured imagery of saints and sinners bleeding into one another. Faces half-formed. Halos broken. Wings burned black at the edges. The glass pulses faintly in time with the song’s heartbeat.

As the first heavy note hits—The fog explodes. Scarlett Carsons steps forward through it, already in motion, already claimed by the light. She doesn’t pose. She doesn’t acknowledge the crowd. Her head is bowed—not in humility, but in judgment. A long black coat drapes from her shoulders like funeral cloth, the inside lined deep crimson. Bare hands. No theatrics. No wasted movement. Each step down the ramp is deliberate, measured, like she’s walking toward an altar she plans to burn down. Blue strobes flash once—just enough to catch her eyes as she lifts her head. They don’t scan the crowd. They pass through it.

When the chorus hits—SANCTIFY ME—the lights snap blood-red, flooding the arena as if the room itself has been baptized in something unholy. The fog behind her swirls upward now, forming a silhouette that almost looks like wings before tearing itself apart.

Phillips: “The opening contest is scheduled for onefall with a twenty minute time limit. First, on her way to the ring, from the Shadows of Westminster in London, England, she is Scarlett Carsons!”

Scarlett stops halfway down the ramp. Slowly, she opens her coat. The coat falls to the steel with a dull, final thud, left behind like a discarded skin. She rolls her shoulders once, loosening them, eyes never leaving the ring. The music drops back into that haunting refrain as she resumes her walk.

At ringside, she doesn’t slide in. She climbs the steps. She wipes her boots on the apron—not for respect, but ritual—then steps between the ropes and stands dead center, head tilted back as the final sanctify me drags out into distortion. The lights snap back to black.

One last white spotlight finds her—And then it dies. When the arena lights return, Scarlett Carsons is already in her corner.

Sharper: “Scarlett Carsons may be in a very poor mood. Last week, attacked by Fiona Logan and Melinda Braddock, the Vision. This coming after Dexter Grant was focusing on his own matters, having been chased out of Scotiabank Place.”

Knots: “Hey, the EFN and Lawler just wanted to talk to Grant. That was all. And now we find out he’s just a bad friend. Wendell should look out!”

A voice can be heard stating, “Step aside for the Man Who Could” before you hear “Go!” as the opening of “The Man Without Fear” by Drowning Pool kicks in. Out from the back rushes Soren Cross. He goes to the left then the right side of the stage.

“Can you feel it, the perfect day
Scratch the leaves, the paper tears
A world of evil starts giving way
A perfect day, a perfect day (Yeah)!”

Soren saunters down the ramp, eyes on the ring, with highlights of his time on the independent scene appear on the big screen, with Soren being shown flying through the air off the top rope, getting a flying forearm into the ring, etc.

“Suddenly you rule the universe
Everything once shapeless now clear
I visualize like a drop of sound
I am the man without fear”

Soren leaps onto the apron, then flips into the ring over the top rope. He goes to the opposite, and leans between the top and middle ropes, engaging with the crowd.

Phillips: “Her opponent, hailing from Atlantic City, New Jersey, he is The Man Who Could, Soren Cross!”

Soren steps back into the ring and leans into the nearest corner, awaiting for the match to begin.

Sharper: “Soren Cross has been impressive since arriving at Taking Hold of the Flame. A great showing there. He’s looked good in singles action.”

Knots: “But he’s got Marquis Dawson’s attention. And Xavier Holloway’s attention. Hey! Look opportunity there. And the new breed in this company already at each other’s throats. Scarlett could be considered part of that.”

Sharper: “Another relatively new signing. Again, always plenty of talent in this company. You can’t get complacent.”

The bell sounds as Carsons looks at Cross. Cross stretches out and spins out. They two step up to one another and Scarlett grabs his arm and wrenches it. Cross wince sand Carsons jerks on the arm and then wrenches it again. Cross rolls forward and bridges up, but Carsons then steps on his ankle, pressing it down. Cross drops down to a knee. Carsons then quickly takes him over with a snap headlock takedown.

Sharper: “Carsons with a hell of a kick. Cross didn’t expect it and that almost beat him there.”

Knots: “Carsons, I like her. She’s got that je ne sais quoi. You know, that’s French. French for she rocks.”

Scarlett then heads over to Cross and nails him with a hard right and then a chop to the forehead. Cross pops up and Scarlett then grabs him and goes for a snapmare. Cross goes over and Scarlett sits him up and runs into the ropes. She bounces off and hits a sliding clothesline. She then goes for another pin.

Carsons kicks out. She turns and starts to get up and Cross grabs her and moves her into the corner. He then hits a European uppercut.

Sharper: “Hard uppercut as Cross found a way to push back on Carsons.”

Knots: “Just like the Irish fight for Home Rule!”

Sharper: “Sure…”

Knots: “Look, I know you’re American and thus probably intellectually malnourished, but just trust me.”

Cross nails her again and then whips her across the ring. Cross runs after. Carsons jumps up and floats over. She then backs up and Cross stops himself in the corner. He turns and Carsons hits a spinning heel kick. Cross falls back into the corner. Carsons then walks over and grabs him and pulls him out and starts to go for a neckbreaker, but Cross counters and then grabs her and hoists her up and hits a back suplex. She rolls over, holding her back. She gets up and Cross runs at her and hit a diving European uppercut. He hooks the leg.

Sharper: “Cross going to the top rope. May be thinking high risk. We know he can fly!”

Knots: “Carsons may hope he can’t!”

Cross then somersaults off, going for a 450 Splash, but Carsons rolls out of the way. Cross rolls through. Both get up and Cross runs at Carsons who snaps him over in a hurricanrana!

2!

Cross kicks out. Both get up and Carsons kicks him in the thigh. Cross falls to a knee and Carsons then kicks him in the side of the head. She turns and runs into the ropes, but Cross suddenly catches her and hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Carsons rolls out of the ring and holds her back. She winces and Cross gets up and hits opposite ropes before diving through the ropes and hitting a somersault dive onto Carsons, both crashing into the barricade. (1)

Sharper: “Cross! Through the ropes! Oh my!”

Knots: “Jesus! Like an Irish missile right into Carsons!”

Cross rolls over as the crowd cheers. (2) He pulls himself up and grabs Carsons. (3) He turns and rolls her into the ring. Cross rolls in after and goes for the pin.

Carsons kicks out. She turns and looks up and Cross grabs her and pulls her up and then goes to whip her into the corner. Carsons stops herself as Cross runs after her and Carsons hits a back elbow. Cross staggers and Carsons jumps up and hits a step-up enziguri. Cross winces and Carsons springboards off the middle rope before hitting a cutter. Carsons turns and hooks the leg.

2!

Cross gets his shoulder up. Carsons rolls off and looks around from her knees. She then gets up and drags Cross up. She then throws him into the corner. She stomps him a couple of times before backing up and then running at Cross and hitting the Nightmare Make Believe.

Sharper: “Carsons with the Nightmare Make Believe and Cross quickly in trouble.”

Knots: “She’s just right on him. Over and over.”

Carsons rolls back as Cross rolls over. He then looks around and starts to get up and Carsons walks over and grabs him and elbows him in the back of the head once and then again before Cross manages to shoves her back and her arm catches the official, Steve Hollinsworth in the eye. He goes down. Carsons then turns and Cross throws her into the corner. She hits the corner and bounces off before Cross jumps up and hits the Dealer’s Choice. He then goes for the pin. Hollinsworth, however, is still down. Cross then looks around before turning and going over to Hollinsworth. He checks on him but as he does, the crowd roars. We see Marquis Dawson running out from the back. Pookie Williams stands on the stage. Cross turns and sees Marquis hop onto the apron. Cross runs over and goes to nail him with a hard right, but Marquis jumps back down. He then backs up and smirks before Cross backs up. Carsons then spins him around and then spews the Dirty Pretty into his face. Cross spins around, yelling in pain. Marquis just smirks as he then backs up. Carsons exits to the apron. She climbs up to the top rope. Cross staggers forward and Carsons hits the Fallen Angel.

Sharper: “Cross! He’s blinded! Marquis distracting him….and Carsons! Fallen Angel!”

Knots: “He took his eyes off the prize. You don’t do that with someone as dangerous. Whether it’s Marquis Dawson or Scarlett Carsons. Lose lose for Soren Cross!”

Carsons hooks the leg. Hollinsworth turns to the cover.

1!

2!

3!

Carsons rolls off as the bell sounds. She then looks around, black liquid coming down her chin.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Scarlett Carsons!”

Carsons gets up as we see Marquis Dawson smiling as he rejoins Pookie Williams. Carsons pulls away from Hollinsworth as he goes to raise her arm. Carsons then looks around.

Sharper: “And Carsons with the win. Soren Cross with a tough loss, thanks also in part to Marquis Dawson!”

Knots: “Picking fights he didn’t need to!”

Sharper: “While Carsons…just look at the face. That look…has the Vision unleashed something inside of her.”

Backstage, we open up to see Ryan LeCavalier standing with Destiny Page in the SCW interview area.

Page: “Welcome backstage. Destiny Page here and I’m here with the Lost Monarch. Last week, finally, we removed all doubt. You tried to get Selena to accept. You even accepted for her, but instead, Selena Frost is going to be watching her ex-wife compete for the World Title.”

LeCavalier shakes her head.

LeCavalier: “Selena…you should have listened to me. I was just trying to help you as you’ve tried to help me in the past. But instead…instead you give a damn about the right thing?”

LeCavalier looks at the camera.

LeCavalier: “The right thing was going to Rise to Greatness to challenger for the World Championship. The right thing was then to finally get that monkey off your back and win the World Title. And then the right thing was going to be to thank me for putting you on the right path with a World Championship shots and the right thing would have been that I finally take my spot at the helm of this sport!”

LeCavalier pauses.

LeCavalier: “I know what you were trying to get out of me. Every since we had that ironwoman match, you’ve reminded me that I am better than my record. That I am what I say I am…a top star. And you were going to be that path, but you finally found a conscience? When else did you have one? When you stole your ex-wife contract and forged her signature? When you came out and said you were better than anyone and even sat on your title shot for a year to take back your mantle? When people say you’ve lost who you are, they’re not talking about the goody-two-shoes. They’re talking about the woman who confidently knew she was the best. She wasn’t second-guessing. She wasn’t pleading for shots. She just did.”

LeCavalier sighs.

LeCavalier: “And you’ve ruined that. Selena…you’ve disappointed me. And I now know what I need to do. SCW needs a new Face. And it will be ME!”

LeCavalier turns and walks off. The crowd gives a mixed reaction as Breakdown cuts to commercial.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown returns as we see Marquis Dawson walking backstage, having come through the tunnel, joined by Pookie Williams. Marquis has his blazer over his shoulder. He takes a few steps before we see Pookie Williams shoved back by Eric Gibson. Marquis turns as we see David Belmont with a steel chair walking over. Marquis looks at him and the chair, keeping his eyes on it.

Marquis: “Hell, we’re gonna just show you’re a sore loser-“

Belmont: “Marquis, did I or did I not warn you not to tempt fate? Not to cross your obvious superior? But instead of being reasonable and listening to someone who told you quite plainly to stay in your lane and accept your defeat… you crossed the line and offered me nothing but great insult-“

Marquis: “You ended up on your ass against me-“

Gibson then runs up and nails Marquis from behind, dropping him to a knee. He looks up as Belmont looks at him.

Belmont: “You need to learn to be quiet.”

Belmont then raises the chair, but before he can swing it, Simon Lyman runs up behind him and grabs the chair, pulling it back and throwing it down. David Belmont turns as Eric Gibson steps up as Lyman stands now across from them, a baseball bat in his hand.

Lyman: “Marquis…”

Marquis: “I don’t need an old man to fight my fights.”

Lyman: “And you don’t need to deal with them. You beat him already.”

Marquis just smirks as gets up. Pookie walks over to him.

Pookie: “Don’t think this is some white savior, shit.”

Lyman: “Nothing like that. Just I have a receipt to give David and his Mavericks.”

Marquis looks at Belmont and Gibson.

Marquis: “Try it again and I’ll whip you.”

Belmont: “You won’t have the chance. You won’t have his help.”

Marquis backs up with Pookie Williams as Belmont turns back to Lyman.

Belmont: “Tell me why I don’t just kick your ass again. Did you not learn two weeks ago? Your time is done in this sport!”

Lyman: “I just learned that you’re an asshole. I call you out for taking over a locker room. Now you’re just bullying people who beat you. You’re not a wrestler…you’re a thug. And in SCW, you earn your stripes-“

Belmont: “You assume I care.”

David Belmont steps up to be in Lyman’s face.

Belmont: “Consider this the last time we stand face to face and you aren’t lying on the ground, wondering if your family will recognize you. I merely was going to give a message to Marquis. But you deserve far worse. Don’t both watching your back. Because nothing can stop what’s next.”

Lyman: “I’ve seen them come and go, Belmont. My body may be on borrowed time, but I still know the tricks.”

Belmont: “You pretend to think that matters…”

Belmont leans in Lyman’s face before officials come into the scene. They start to get between the two. Belmont then glances at Gibson. They then walk off, evil intentions clearly in the mind of Belmont.

The Glimmer Sisters vs. The European Fiery Nation

All the lights in the arena suddenly cut out, leaving the fans gasping and roaring in surprise. After a moment, blue lighting overtakes the arena, almost making it look like the entire place is underwater. On the stage, we can see what looks like water raining down right in front of the entryway, a silhouette of a woman visible behind it as she's flipping her hair and looks to be getting “dressed” for battle. “Tongue Twister” then hits and after a few seconds, we see Gina Glimmer (we assume) walk through the water, motioning as though she were parting a curtain, sashaying in a way that draws all eyes to her hips as she grins knowing full well what she's doing. Once she's fully visible she flaps her arms at her sides almost like she's flying, and as she does we see a second pair of arms flapping in the opposite motion appear from behind her, almost making her look like one of those multi-armed Hindu gods. After a few flaps she leans to one side as we see her twin Gia Glimmer (again, we assume) suddenly appear from behind her and lean the opposite way, perfectly mirroring one another. They join hands and look as though they're about to break into a ballroom dance, but Gina simply uses this to flip Gia over her back, and the moment she lands on her feet in time with the bass dropping the lighting immediately changes to a vibrant display of pinks and yellows. At this, the two begin to dance their way down to the ring, again a perfect mirror of one another as their sensual motions hypnotize the audience.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with a fifteen minute time limit. First, on their way to the ring, from Cirque du Sins, they are Gia and Gina, the Glimmer Sisters!”

The mirror routine breaks at a few points when they stop dancing to briefly interact with fans, Gina scoffing at some guy not worth her time in the front row desperately trying to get her number while Gia teases potentially flashing her side of the crowd only to stick her tongue out and tell them to “blame SCW” for the let down. Once they reach ringside they dance their way over to the hard cam side of the ring before pulling themselves onto the apron facing away from each other, where they press their butts together and slowly rise as they stick their tongues out and suggestively lick each finger, drawing excited cheers from all interested parties that clash with the boos they're otherwise getting from those that either aren't interested in them or see through the act. Once they're both fully upright, they mirror one another again as they lean back against the ropes, pushing out their chests for the fans' enjoyment before hooking their arms around the top rope and backflipping into the ring in sync. Once they're back in the ring the lighting returns to the underwater hues as they dance around the ring one more time, mirroring one another again, before meeting in the middle of the ring as a spotlight shines down on them. They sensually embrace, each lifting a leg up in a way that makes it seem like they're trying to wrap it around the other's body as they flip their hair before motioning for the camera to get a close-up of them as they grin and wink to the fans at home. The lights then completely cut out again for a brief moment before coming back on as normal, the Glimmer Sisters separating and moving to their corner as they wait for the bell with a hungry look in their eyes.

Sharper: “Well the Glimmer Sisters here tonight. We can tell you that they were explicitly not even given tickets to the show in Toronto. They were basically told not to come.”

Knots: “Yeah. They’re a disgrace!”

Sharper: “They are unique. They have their own way. But they are on the roster and they’ve been successful! And these fans clearly like them too!”

Knots: “They don’t know what they like!”

Off To War by Behemoth plays over the sound system with the lights being dark as ever as Kemal, with Ginny behind him in the middle, Federico on the left and Oskar on the right, looking at the crowd and got heavy boos. When the lights briefly came back on, you see Oskar, and Federico and Ginny waving their Norway and San Marino flags.

Phillips: “Their opponents, accompanied by Ginny Raab, coming from Turkey, Sweden, San Marino and Norway, they are Oskar Theron and Federico Gasperoni, they are the European Fiery Nation."

They walk down from the back before we see Flash walking out from the back. The crowd erupts as Flash makes his way down the rampway. We then see Dakon Theron and Ludvig Eriksson running out and then stopping him. He then looks at them as Federico turns and laughs at him. He then taunts him before Oskar refocuses him with Ginny’s help. They turn back to the ring, but then Gina and Gia run at the ropes and they hit stereo twisting corkscrew somersault planchas over the top rope and onto Gasperoni and Oskar!

Sharper: “And the Glimmers take advantage! Flash tried to get to Federico Gasperoni! But the EFN was waiting!”

Knots: “Cheap shots all around! What the hell is this?!”

Gia, we assume, gets up, and joins Gina, we assume. They then turn and grab Oskar Theron and pull him up and roll him into the ring. They roll in after. Oskar starts to get up and Gina hits a kick to the ribs. Gia hits a straight kick to the side of the head before they both turn to him and hit duelling enziguri kicks, sandwiching him on either side. The official, Jennifer Cassidy, tries to get them back as Gia then turns and steps up. Gina pushes Jennifer back before Gia steps into Gina’s hands and Gina lifts her up, leading Gia to do a corkscrew moonsault onto Oskar.

Sharper: “And the Glimmers are wearing out Oskar Theron!”

Knots: “The match hasn’t started! Come on Jennifer! Get it together.”

Sharper: “Jennifer Cassidy, the official, trying to regain control here.”

Federico starts to get up as security joins Dakon and Ludvig in getting Flash back to the back. Federico moves to the ring and pulls himself up. Gina, we assume, exits the ring, as Gia grabs Oskar and sits him up before running into the ropes. She bounces off and hits a running Lou Thesz Press, pressing her chest right into Oskar’s face. Federico demands the match be started. Cassidy obliges, calling for the bell. The bell sounds. Gia goes for the pin, but Federico enters and pulls her off by the hair. He then turns and throws her into the neutral corner. Federico then looks at her and points at her before posing. Gia just smiles before then dropkicking him. He falls over Oskar. Gia then turns and tags in Gina. Gina enters. Oskar gets up as Federico exits the ring and Gina and Gia hit duelling spinning heel kicks. Gina goes for the pin.

Oskar kicks out. Gia then exits as Gina grabs Oskar, slowly pulling him up and then nailing him with a hard right and then another, while he’s in a seated position.

Sharper: “The Glimmers are no stopping one inch. They are going right after the EFN. Maybe a message.”

Knots: “Just if they want to focus on compete, find. But they don’t need the extra.”

Sharper: “They’re just getting in the heads of their opponents.”

Gina then runs into the ropes and bounces off and goes for a somersault. Oskar rolls out of the way. Gina rolls through. She turns and lunges at Oskar, but Oskar scoops her up and spins her out into a sitout powerbomb.

Gina kicks out. Oskar rolls back and turns and tags in Federico Gasperoni. Gasperoni enters as Gina starts to get up and Federico runs at her and clotheslines her down. He then poses and smirks, looking at Gia.

Sharper: “And Gasperoni in and quickly dropping Gina, I think that’s Gina, down with that clothesline. And then the posing. You’re okay with this?”

Knots: “Yeah. He’s earned it. Look at him. A marvel of San Marino godhood in human form!”

Gina rolls over and Gasperoni grabs her and whips her into the ropes. She bounces off and Gasperoni presses her over his head and then slams her down with a military press slam. She then gets back up and Gasperoni clotheslines her down again. Gina turns and stirs and Gasperoni then drags her over and tags in Oskar Theron. Oskar climbs up to the top rope and Federico hoists her up in a bearhug position. He turns and Oskar dives off with a flying clothesline, leading to a variation of a hart attack. Oskar goes for the pin.

Gina gets her shoulder up. Oskar then pulls her up and drags her up to her feet and drills her with a European uppercut. She falls to the ropes. Oskar then smirks before pulling her back. He locks in a full nelson before hoisting her up and hitting an STO. He rolls her over by the ropes and goes for the pin.

Gina grabs the bottom rope. Oskar rolls away as Gina pulls herself to the floor. Ginny quickly walks around, pointing. Oskar looks around before realizing. We notice Gia is not at the corner. We then see Oskar stepping through to the floor. He then reaches under the ring as Gina appears to have rolled under. Oskar pulls out who we believe is Gina and rolls her into the ring. Oskar rolls in after, but Gina, suddenly, gets up. Oskar then walks into a superkick. We then see the other Glimmer roll out in front of the announce table before getting back up onto the apron, wincing a bit.

Sharper: “Oskar got one of the Glimmers…”

Knots: “He got…did…that was quick!”

Sharper: “And maybe got Gia! The Glimmers may have just swapped.”

Knots: “They had to have!”

Sharper: “Prove it!”

Gia, not Gina, is in the ring as a result of the swap, and Federico enters and then lunges at her, but Gia hits a superkick on him. Federico falls back and rolls out of the ring. Gia then tags in Gina as Oskar stirs as Gia and Gina move to opposite corners and look around before running at Oskar and hitting the Asspocalypse! Gina turns and goes for the pin as Gia stands guard.

3!

The bell sounds. Federico pulls himself back in as Gina grabs Gia and they roll out of the ring.

Phillips: “Here are your winners, Gia and Gina, the Glimmer Sisters!”

Sharper: “The Glimmers get the Asspocalypse. Get the pin. And get back on the winning side.”

Knots: “No! Damn it! They tricked em! They tricked em!”

Sharper: “And they fell for it!”

Gia and Gina look in the ring as Federico gets up. He winces as holds his jaw as Oskar Theron stirs in the ring. Gia and Gina then mockingly wave at them before starting to walk around the ring.

We open up backstage to see Polly Playtime getting ready for her match before looking up as Dawn Lohan walks into the locker room. She sees Polly and walks over to her.

Playtime: “Don’t even waste your breath-“

Lohan: “Again, you think I’m here as your enemy when I’m not…”

Playtime: “You made big claims and claimed I wasn’t ready when you then went out and fell on your face against Deanna. I don’t care why you’re here. I’m not here to be played.”

Lohan: “You’re not-“

Playtime then looks up at Dawn.

Playtime: “Then just stay out of my way. I am getting an Adrenaline Championship shot. And tonight, I’m going to prove myself more useful tonight than you’ve been since you showed back up. So shut up, get out of my way, and better yet, forget about being Supreme Champion. Because I’m now stepping back in where I should never have been pushed away from.”

Playtime glances back down and returns to her preparations. Dawn just nods.

Lohan: “Fine.”

Lohan turns and walks off as the scene cuts away.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown returns as we see Kristen Scott standing with Destiny Page in the backstage arena.

Page: “Welcome back to Breakdown. Destiny Page here with Kirsten Scott and Kirsten, you’ve got another match tonight against Brittany Williams and you’re looking to make waves.”

Scott: “I’ve already planted one flag. Colleen MacDonald. I’ll plant a few more. I’m not here to run or to just be happy. I’m here to make statements. And how do I do that…by fighting-“

We then see Colleen MacDonald walking into the scene, SCW Television Championship over her shoulder.

Colleen: “Don’t try to take on too much. I’ll be watching later.”

Scott: “Good.”

Scott and Colleen lock eyes for a few moment before Colleen leaves the scene.

The opening riff to “Song for the Dead” by Queens of the Stone Age kicks in. At the 37 second mark, the name “Asher Hayes” blares through the PA system, and Asher appears on the stage, wearing his new “Uggo” t-shirt, and the SCW Underground Championship. He bows down for a few moments before standing up straight, throwing both fists in the air, before making his way towards the ring.

“It's late enough to go driving
And see what's mine
Life's the study of dying
How to do it right"

He makes his way down the ramp as the reaction of the crowd rains down upon him. He walks up the ring steps and climbs to the top turnbuckle, lifting both fists into the air, simply looking at the crowd before dropping down and running to the opposite side.

“You're a holy roller
If you bettin' to lose
If you're hanging around
I'm holding the noose"

He stands, once again, on the top rope. His expression remains focused as he looks toward the ceiling, before dropping down. He then goes over to the apron and grabs a microphone waiting for him on the apron.

Sharper: “We ended last week with Asher Hayes defeating Glory Braddock, capping off the week.”

Knots: “Yeah. Took on Glory. Revived that rivalry, and rose to the occasion!”

Hayes turns back to the middle of the ring. He looks around as the music fades out. He then smirks.

Hayes: “Well Glory…I finally got you.”

The crowd roars as Hayes looks around.

Hayes: “And if anyone needs a reminder of what I am capable of in this ring…go back to last week and watch. A few people seem to need that reminder. Even while I’m hanging out in their Underground Division.”

Hayes looks around.

Hayes: “I spoke about how a few people needed to respect me and maybe they’ll get the hint, since they’re talking about whether one can go in the ring. Well, David! I can…and they don’t make participation ribbons in wrestling!”

Hayes shakes his head.

Hayes: “But I don’t think you’re going to get the hint! But the fact is that I’m the Underground Champion that could be World Champion. That’s what I believe. That’s what I’ve claimed for so long. And now, today, as God is my witness, I can make sure it becomes what I actually am.  I know my track record, but I also know that when the bell rang, I could go. So now, I stand here, Rise to Greatness on the horizon, holding the Underground Championship and waiting to see what fresh hell tries to knock me off my game and-“

The lights go out, except for a single spotlight at the top of the stage. The opening chords to “Patient Number 9” by Ozzy Osbourne begins to play.  A haunting voice is heard…

"Is there a way out of here?"
"Hey, how long you been here?"
"I wanna go home"
"Hey, hahaha"
"Hahaha"
"Excuse me, could you tell how to get out of here?"
"Hahaha"
"I want to go home"
"Hahaha"
"Mommy, mommy"

The song begins to rage full bore now. Suddenly the lights come back on and Kimberly Williams is standing at the top of the stage to a loud, mostly positive, reaction from the fans. Asher Hayes looks at her and looks down and nods. A sinister smirk is on Kim’s face as she ponders what she is about to do tonight. She winks at the fans before pointing towards the ring and making a beeline towards it.

Knots: “Oh God no…”

Sharper: “Kimberly Williams wants her shot. And she wants it against Asher Hayes! And she’s trying to get Delatosso’s attention too!”

Knots: “Yeah, like she means it!”

Sharper: “She’s been clear that she doesn’t want to get involved in the politics.”

Knots: “Then straighten up!”

She slides into the ring underneath the bottom rope. Kimberly then gets up and walks right up to Asher Hayes. She then looks at him and cocks her head to the side before then booping him on the nose. Hayes swats her hand away. Kim then shakes her finger at him and then Kim heads over to the corner, demanding a microphone. Phillips walks over to give her one. He extends it to her, but as she goes to grab it, we then see Frank Delatosso on the big screen, coming from his office. Kemal Yilmaz and Chris Lawler stand with him. The crowd boos.

Delatosso: “Jason! Don’t bother giving her that microphone-“

Kim: “Hi Franky! We love you Franky!”

Delatosso sighs.

Delatosso: “Asher…ignore her for a moment. I’m going to.”

Kim: “But Franky! Go Franky!”

Delatosso: “Asher! You want to be World Championship material. Then there’s a very good first step you could do right now.”

Hayes: “What’s that?”

Delatosso: “Stop insulting yourself with that title around your waist. You deserve better than to be in matches where you get maimed for sport. You don’t need to bring yourself down to that level-“

Kim: “I’ll happily take it off his hands. Come on Ashy!”

Delatosso: “Come backstage, hand me the title, and I can then show that even our top stars don’t want to compete for such a barbaric practice and I will guarantee you get the opportunities you would like to see and earn!”

The crowd boos as Asher Hayes then starts to look around the arena. Kim meanwhile just looks at Asher. We can see the microphone spin around in her hand as if she’s ready to use it as a weapon.

Delatosso: “Come on Asher. I can offer you the legitimacy that you want. That this relic from a bygone era of those who wish to engage in the lowest form of combat hold onto. Just come backstage-“

Hayes: “Mr. Delatosso….”

Hayes looks at the big screen.

Hayes: “I don’t run from challenges. You may not like the Underground, but that’s where I am right now. That’s the title I hold. And that’s the title I will defend. And if I have my choice, I’ll hold this title until the day I win the World Championship for the second time!”

The crowd roars.

Hayes: “You talked about competition. I showed what I can do last week. And at Rise to Greatness, I’ll show what I can do when I defend the Underground Championship…against you, Kim?”

Kim smirks, flipping the microphone back around to speak into it.

Kim: “Hell yeah! I’ll happily maim you and send you to the hospital for that relic from a bygone era!”

Kim smirks before then suddenly stepping up.

Kim: “Don’t worry Franky! I’ll beat him half to death for not agreeing!”

Delatosso sighs.

Delatosso: “Your funeral, Asher.”

Delatosso cuts away as we then see Hayes turn to Kim.

Hayes: “Good luck. Maybe ask your kin for some help.”

Kim: “Don’t worry. I don’t need to. I have WASLEY!”

Hayes: “Yeah, sure. And you’re welcome!”

“Song for the Dead” plays as Hayes turns and tosses the microphone back at Jason Phillips. Phillips catches it as Hayes turns and exits the ring. Kim Williams just smirks, clearly plotting.

Knots: “Oh no…Asher, what the hell!”

Sharper: “Asher Hayes happy to defend the title. Not going to take the easy way out. And to face Kimberly Williams for the Underground Title at Rise to Greatness!”

Hayes heads to the back.

We cut once again to the backstage area where we find Jaina Lancaster with the Ronin himself, Chris Dumont, who is already in his wrestling gear and looking more than ready for his match tonight.

Jaina: “Chris Dumont, shortly you’ll face Polly Playtime in singles action, but before that, I want to talk about some comments that have come out this past week from you, some of which are being lauded as either ludicrous or just plain stupid. Especially in connection with you challenging the SCW champion herself, Amelia…”

Chris holds up his left hand to stop Jaina.

Chris: “You can stop right there-“

Jaina: “No, allow me to keep going. Because who are you to even make any challenges and act like they’re going to be honoured? You’ve challenged Gavin Taylor to some stipulation that doesn’t deign a response. Now you’re challenging the SCW World Champion and in a pure wrestling match with weird stipulations and even demanding you choose the official-“

Chris pauses and it clicks.

Chris: “Should’ve guessed. Lancaster. You’re Bree’s…whatever.”

Jaina: “Niece.”

Chris: “Wonderful. No wonder you’re here. Delatosso trying to take me off my game before I face Polly. I challenged that snake, Gavin, and trust me, I am not stopping there either. How is Religious Wright doing? Or is he enjoying his limited mobility in a neck brace. And I challenged Amelia Nevado, but not for the title, but in a match I know the old Amelia would have maybe agreed to…and in fact, I heard that she has agree to it-“

Dean Black then comes into the scene and Dumont scoffs.

Dumont: “Going to lock me up? That seems to be your boss’s favourite move.”

Black: “No, but I do have something to add from Frank Delatosso.”

Dumont: “I’m sure this will be rich.”

Black: “Your little match won’t be happening on any terms except for his. You’re not in charge. Delatosso and Nevado will meet next week. And if Nevado is sure about facing you, you can have your match in the ring, with an SCW official, and with standard rules.”

Dumont: “Have a problem with your champion being exposed.”

Black: “I’m just passing along the message. And this matter with Gavin, I can tell you that’s a non-starter. Focus on Polly. Trust me, she’ll be plenty for you to handle.”

Dumont: “You act like I care what you say.”

Dumont just looks at Black as Jaina stands off to the side, looking smug. Black just shrugs and then walks off as Dumont turns to Jaina.

Dumont: “You plan to do your job or just stand there looking as dumb as you do.”

Jaina looks at Dumont stunned.

Dumont: “Just give me the mic.”

Jaina shoves it at him and she storms off. Dumont turns to the camera.

Dumont: “I don’t care what the suit has to say. Amelia, either be the kind of honorable person that you claim to be and accept my challenge for Breakdown in Brooklyn… or prove that I'm right in the worst way possible for such an honorable person and don't accept. Either way, that's all I'm going to say on the matter till after my match with Little Miss Can't be Wrong.”

Chris walks off. We then suddenly cut to another part backstage where we see Kemal Yilmaz pulling Asher Hayes up from the ground as he returns from the ring. Yilmaz then runs him over and throws him into the wall. Hayes falls down and into a stack of piping, causing the pipes to clang on the ground and roll off. Yilmaz then runs over and starts to stomp away on Hayes as Hayes struggles to protect himself.

Sharper: “Yilmaz! Yilmaz going after Hayes! Attacking Asher Hayes!”

Knots: “Well, you made a mistake! You could’ve had a happy path, but no, had to be all ready for a challenge and all that crap!”

Yilmaz starts to choke Hayes with his boot before we see David Striker running over and grabbing Yilmaz and pulling him off. He nails him with a hard right and then another and another before running him over and throwing him into the wall. Yilmaz spins around and Striker turns and grabs a storage crate and turns and rams it into the legs of Yilmaz. Yilmaz falls forward onto the crate. Striker then steps back and straight kicks him in the head. Yilmaz rolls over as Hayes starts to get up. Striker walks over to him and grabs him and pulls him up. Hayes looks at him.

Striker: “You know, part of me wanted to just let you get your ass kicked, but I’m not going to let that asshole take what you have.”

Striker looks at the title.

Striker: “But it’s going to be what I have. I’m not going to stop. And you said you’ll not run from a challenge. Well, I’ll be there at Rise to Greatness too. And on that night, I’ll get MY respect from you AND Kim.”

Striker then shoves Hayes back. Hayes falls into the wall and looks at Striker, clearly pissed off. Striker then heads off as Hayes watches him leave and then turns back to Yilmaz as Yilmaz starts to get up. Breakdown cuts away.

COMMERCIALS

Chris Dumont vs. Polly Playtime

“Here Comes Revenge” by Metallica hits the speakers as the crowd roars. After a few moments, Chris Dumont storms out onto the stage, clearly not in a good mood after last week. He looks out at the crowd for a moment before he begins marching down to the ring, his anger barely restrained as he's visibly trembling and ready to explode.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for one fall with a twenty minute time limit! Introducing first, from New Orleans, Louisiana, he is The Ronin... Chris Dumont!”

As Dumont reaches the ring, he hops up onto the apron and steps between the ropes aggressively, pacing around the ring like a lion ready to pounce as the fans continue to cheer for him. As he paces, he glances to the entrance, waiting for Polly.

Sharper: “Chris Dumont about to face Polly Playtime and this is going to be interesting. There was a time where the Troupe and Playtime were on the same page. Even working together. And so much has changed.”

Knots: “Yeah. Chris Dumont went crazy. And there you go. Mental health ruins another friendship.”

Sharper: “Or Polly Playtime changed who she was.”

Knots: “She just took the way to get her what she wants out of her career. No harm in that! And now she may be looking at an Adrenaline Championship shot!”

The arena lights shut off completely.  The crowd murmurs until Polly's voice can be heard saying:

"You want me to cut the crap?  My answer is that you need to cut yours."

The arena stays completely dark until up on the big screen Polly's infamous glowing angry green eyes make an appearance.  Most of the screen stays black, but her name fades in, in light purple "Polly Playtime".

An indistinct man's voice then says "Player Number One.  Game Over."

A coin can be heard dropping into a coin slot and a pulsating beat begins to play as light purple strobe lights light up on both sides of the stage.  "Too Much" by Dove Cameron begins as Dove immediately begins to sing the chorus, a figure emerges from the back and saunters to the center of the stage between the strobe lights.  The overhead arena lights return and we can see that the figure is dressed in a long black robe that covers all of her, including her head.  The hood drops back to reveal Polly not smiling or showing any hint of caring what others think of her.  She allows the vocals to continue until Dove hits the chorus for a second time.  The light purple strobe rights turn to point directly to the ring as Polly lets go of the robe that is cloaking her, revealing that she is wearing her black knee-high skirt, but also a very small strapless light purple top that hugs her mostly revealed upper body perfectly.  She then picks up the item that she had used to tie her black robe around her, that item being a small whip.

Wasting no more time, she walks with purpose down to the ring as her entrance music continues.  A lot of the crowd near ringside is gawking at her while some are booing.  Polly just ignores every single last one of them as once at ringside, she feels the mat with both of her hands and rubs them a bit before sneering and walking over to the nearest set of steel ring steps.  She walks up them and is very careful while she gets into the ring, as to not give the SCW Universe a show that they do not deserve.

Phillips: “His opponent, from Panguitch, Utah, she is Polly Playtime!”

Once in the ring she runs the end of the whip around the canvas for a short bit before she chooses a corner of the ring and leans up against the ropes.  As her music subsides, Polly can be heard saying "I'm too much for you to handle.  Too much for ALL of you!  Always have been, always will be.  It's time you all see it."

The boos pick up.  Polly is acting as if they don't exist as she has all of the whip in her hands now once again.  She stays in her corner and waits for the bell to ring, fingering her whip, not even looking towards her opponent.

Sharper: “And Polly not even looking at Chris.”

Knots: “Why? Why bother? She’s focused. Focused on what is important. The win. Period! Plus, she can do a massive solid for Gavin Taylor!”

The bell sounds. Chris just look at Polly, yelling at her. Polly then runs over to him and grabs him and nails him with a hard right and then another and another before Dumont spins her around into the corner. Polly just looks at Dumont before Polly then tries to get free and Dumont then pulls her out and hits a hip throw. Polly rolls through. She gets up and Dumont goes for a Code Zero, but Polly spins out of the way and backs up. Dumont stops at the ropes and looks at her as Polly then gets up and heads over to him.

Sharper: “Dumont looking to end it fast. Or maybe just to quickly put this in his control.”

Knots: “Polly Playtime had it scouted. He’s on all of their hit lists. He’s made himself have that target!”

Polly kicks Dumont in the ribs and then nails him with a hard right and then another before grabbing him and pulling him out, in a side headlock, but Dumont then hoists her up and hits a back suplex. Polly rolls over. She starts to get up and Dumont grabs her and tries to go for a rear naked choke. Polly struggles as the official checks on her. Polly moves to the ropes and grabs at them, but then hits a mule kick as the official, Aaron Demitra, remains focused on Polly. Dumont falls back, holding himself. He then winces and starts to get up and Polly looks at him before jumping up and hitting a dropkick to the back of the head. Dumont falls forward and through the ropes to the floor. (1)

Sharper: “And Playtime with the dropkick after the mule kick!”

Knots: “I didn’t see anything! And we know her guards have integrity.”

Sharper: “Oh yeah. Plenty of integrity. Just skewed one way.”

Dumont rolls over and gets up and Polly then runs at the ropes and dives through the ropes with a pescado into Dumont. (1) The crowd ohs as Dumont and Playtime are down on the floor. Playtime rolls over and gets up. (2) Dumont turns, and Polly pulls him up by the hair and nails him in the back of the head over and over again before throwing him to the ring. (3) She tries to lift him up, but Dumont elbows Playtime in the head over and over. (4) He then muscles her up and into the ring. Playtime rolls over and Dumont slides in. Polly gets up and runs across the ring and bounces off before Dumont to step up and hit a discus clothesline. Polly hits the mat. Dumont goes for the pin.

Playtime kicks out. Dumont gets up as Polly stirs. Dumont then grabs her and hits a vertical suplex. Polly rolls over and Dumont grabs her again and pulls her up and hits a second vertical suplex. Dumont then grabs her again and pulls her up, but Polly reaches up and rakes the eyes. Dumont steps back before Polly jumps up and hits a jawbreaker. Dumont falls to the ropes.

Sharper: “And Playtime stopping Dumont. Going to the eyes and then the jawbreaker to stun him.”

Knots: “We talk about how Colleen MacDonald became a scrapper. Look at Polly. Look at her fight and scratch and claw for everything. How can you not get behind her!”

Polly then kicks Dumont in the ribs and then nails him with a hard right before kicking him again and then punching him again. She keeps alternating as Demitra calls for the break.

Sharper: “And Playtime now looking to wear down Dumont.”

Knots: “Make him think about the choices he’s made.”

Dumont winces as Polly keeps pulling up on the chin. Dumont shakes his head as Demitra checks on him. Polly keeps pulling back as Dumont keeps trying to get free, managing to get an arm free. He then starts to move slightly between Polly’s legs before then then sliding back. Polly steps up. Dumont gets up to a knee and Polly hits a back kick. The crowd ohs. Dumont falls to a knee. Polly then walks over and grabs Dumont and hooks him up, and hits a snap suplex. She turns and exits to the apron. She climbs up to the top rope. Dumont looks up as Polly dives off and goes for the Too Much for You, but Dumont rolls out of the ring. Polly rolls through. She turns and Dumont hooks her up and hoists her up for a vertical suplex only to instead throw her forward and into a Code Zero. The crowd ohs. Polly falls back. Dumont hooks the leg.

Polly gets her shoulder up.

Sharper: “And Polly kicks out. Dumont got that pump knee and Polly managing to get the shoulder up at two!”

Knots: “What heart! What desire!”

Sharper: “But she’s in trouble. Dumont already starting to pull her up.”

Dumont rolls over and starts to pull Polly up before then wrenching the arm and pulling her into a second Code Zero. Polly is out on her feet. Dumont then pulls her in and goes for an exploder suplex and into a pin.

Dumont falls back. Polly grabs the top rope and slingshots back in with a splash. She goes for the pin.

Dumont gets his shoulder up. Polly looks up and turns and looks at Dumont and nails him with a couple of hard rights while kneeling next to him. Dumont pushes away as Polly gets up. Dumont starts to get up.

Sharper: “And Playtime hammering away on Chris Dumont!”

Knots: “Take that. Polly just letting him feel all of her frustrations!”

Sharper: “But Dumont also getting up. He’s showing his heart!”

Polly runs over and kicks Dumont in the stomach as he gets up. He then pulls him in and goes for the Polly Pop, but Dumont counters with a back drop. Polly rolls over and gets up and Chris Dumont turns as Polly runs at him. Dumont then sidesteps and throws her through the ropes. Polly rolls through and Dumont turns and steps through. He drops down. (1) Polly starts to get up and runs at Dumont, but Dumont lifts her up and throws her hard into the barricade.(2) Polly lands shoulder first and then rolls over, grabbing at her arm. She then rolls over as we see Quincy and Steve, her guards, step up and go over to her.(3) Dumont then steps up to keep the fight going.

Knots: “Good! Get him back in the ring!

Sharper: “Dumont throwing Polly into the barricade and her guards now stepping in to obstruct. Demitra has to be careful given who is paying those guards. The same man who pays him!”

Polly rolls over, holding her shoulder before turning and smacking the mats in pain. Quincy notices this and turns back as Steve continues to stand in Dumont’s way. Dumont then turns and looks around before shaking his head. He then goes over and looks under the ring. He then grabs a steel chair as the crowd erupts. Quincy turns to the official briefly, before turning back to Polly. We then see Dumont turning towards Steve and Quincy. Quincy then gets up as Dumont nails him in the ribs with the chair. The crowd ohs. Steve turns and gets up as Dumont nails him. But as this happens, we see Dakon Theron, Ludvig Eriksson and Chris Lawler running from the back. Dumont turns and rolls into the ring. Demitra calls for the bell, throwing the match out.

Knots: “This madman! See! Crazy Chris!”

Sharper: “Dumont got the chair to deal with Playtime’s guards but now to defend himself!”

Demitra looks around as Polly remains down, clearly upset, holding her right shoulder. Lawler slides in and Dumont runs over and slams the chair into this back. He then turns and swings at Dakon and Ludvig, but Dakon tackles him down. Dumont drops the chair. Eriksson runs over and stomps him in the head. Dakon gets a few body shots while on top of him. The crowd boos as Dumont struggles.

Knots: “Just get rid of him now! Gavin Taylor can have a free night at Rise to Gavin!”

Sharper: “So are you saying that Gavin was going to face him?”

Knots: “No! No! Just that Dumont won’t leave it alone! Gavin beat him! He’s the better man!”

Dumont keeps fighting as Eriksson gets a stomp in and then another before we then see Anansi Rivers running down from the back. She slides in and then runs over to Eriksson as he turns and Anansi hits a spinning heel kick.

Sharper: “Anansi Rivers! Showing up tonight. Attacking the EFN. Helping Dumont!”

Rivers turns and Dakon gets up. He goes for a clothesline, but Rivers ducks and leans against the ropes. Dakon turns and runs at her, but Rivers gets her legs up and hooks Dakon’s shoulders when he goes for a shoulder thrust and counters into a tarantula in the ropes! Eriksson gets up as Dumont clotheslines him down. He then looks around as Rivers keeps the hold on Dakon before letting go. She then drops down and spins around before looking around. Her eyes look around as we see Playtime being helped up by officials and a couple of EMTs. She’s taken to the back, cradling her arm. Dumont looks over at Polly as he then turns to Rivers as Rivers looks around, seemingly staying focused on defending Dumont as the scene cuts away.

MOMENTS AGO:

We see a shot of Dumont standing in front of Polly Playtime while on the floor.

Sharper: “Welcome back to Breakdown and we may have some huge news. Polly Playtime appears to have injured herself.”

Knots: “A travesty. Just an absolute travesty. She’s finally going to get what she was deserving and then this…”

Sharper: “You can see Dumont throwing her into the barricade. And she landed hard onto her shoulder.”

Polly starts to get up and runs at Dumont, but Dumont lifts her up and throws her hard into the barricade.(2) Polly lands shoulder first and then rolls over, grabbing at her arm. She then rolls over as we see Quincy and Steve, her guards, step up and go over to her.(3) Dumont then steps up to keep the fight. The Breakdown logo comes up again on the screen before we see it again from a different angle. This time, we then see Polly rolling over, grabbing her arm and smacking the mat in frustration.

Knots: “There you see it again…”

Sharper: “She may have hurt her shoulder. Maybe tore something. Dislocated. I don’t want to speculate, but Polly immediately knew something was wrong. Her guards noticed this and then went to check on her.”

We cut to showing Polly showing her frustration again as the Breakdown logo comes up on the screen.

We cut backstage to the trainer’s room as we see Polly getting checked out by the trainer. She winces in pain and then yells out in pain.

Polly: “You’re going to make it worse!”

We then see Dawn Lohan leaning in from the doorway.

Dawn: “So what was I supposed to watch and learn about tonight?”

Polly looks up and then smacks the examination bed again in frustration.

Marie Jones vs. Dexter Grant

SCW United States Championship

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the SCW United States Championship!”

The fans cheer as the SCW U.S. Title logo flashes across the screen. A spotlight shines down at the top of the entrance ramp. Pyro goes off. Then Marie Annabelle Jones steps through the curtain, wearing her ring gear and her signature black leather jacket. A broad, somewhat condescending grin is on her face as she gazes out at the fans in the arena who cheer loudly. The Tron shows images of her striking at her opponents with her finishing and signature moves as the lyrics of "Haunted" by Taylor Swift begin to flow through the arena. Marie begins to make her way down towards the ring.

Phillips: “Introducing first, the challenger, from Boston, Massachusetts, she is The Phoenix... Marie Jones!”

As for Marie herself, she stops to slap a few high fives with fans, recognizing them as they cheer her. Then her focus is solely on the ring and the determined stride with which she walks tells that story.  Marie hops up onto the ring apron. She strikes a sultry and sexy pose for the audience. Marie turns and leaps over the top rope and into the ring.  She then hops up onto the second turnbuckle of the nearby corner and holds her arms up high into the air, getting a reaction from the crowd.

Sharper: “It's been almost a decade since Marie Jones last called herself the United States Champion, but you know she would love nothing more than to become a two-time champion here tonight in Miami.”

Knots: “She might actually make for a great champion! She proved what kind of talent the Jones family has always had in a great showing against Alistaire until that entitled prick Shaun Cruze ruined it, and now tonight she can show Kim how to truly make your name around here!”

TokSik” by Starset hits as the lights in the arena immediately go out, a series of green spotlights converging onto the stage where fog has begun to consume it. The big screen shows a human eye opening, and reflecting in it is a montage of people glued to their phones and computers, either consuming or producing social media garbage as they all look sickly while doing so. “The Digital Detoxer” Dexter Grant marches out through the fog with the SCW United States Title resting over his shoulder, stopping at the edge of the stage and staring out at the fans with disgust, even as they give him a more evenly split reaction than usual. He turns his head to his right just in time to see his faithful flunky Wendell march out behind him, proudly holding up a protest sign that has the circle-backslash symbol with a wi-fi symbol behind the backslash and the words “DISCONNECT TO RECONNECT” written within the circle. Wendell eagerly looks up at Dexter, who smiles and nods in approval before he starts storming down to the ring, his disgusted look returning at the sound of all the people around him who he can only hope are finally starting to get his message.

Phillips: “Her opponent, being accompanied to the ring by Wendell, from 'Off the Grid,' he is the SCW United States Champion, The Digital Detoxer... Dexter Grant!”

He jumps up onto the apron and aggressively steps through the ropes, marching to the center of the ring and turning his back to the hard cam as he points his thumb to the same “DISCONNECT TO RECONNECT” logo of his on the back of his vest while his other hand holds the U.S. Title belt high. Wendell crawls into the ring and stands beside Dexter, proudly holding up his sign. The lights return to normal as Dexter starts to pace around the ring.

Knots: “Boo! Boo! We don't want to hear from you!”

Sharper: “Dexter Grant has been U.S. Champion since the Fans' Choice edition of Breakdown-”

Knots: “Where he won the title fair and square over that criminal Meghan Strader and is being ungrateful about it!”

Sharper: “-but tonight marks his first defense of the title. That said, he's been very vocal about our CEO and claims he’s got information-”

Knots: “What part of 'he won fair and square' did you not understand, Adam? Nothing happened, Dexter's just being loony and trying to invent problems that don't exist because he can't wrap his head around the golden opportunity he was offered!”

As Knots continues to prevent Sharper from trying to continue any further, Wendell climbs out to the floor as Dexter shoves the title into the chest of referee Steve Hollinsworth before ripping the microphone straight out of Jason Phillips' hand. He starts his usual pre-match spiel, but it quickly becomes apparent that the microphone isn't working all of a sudden, even as he smacks it a few times. He tosses it back to Phillips as he's exiting the ring before asking Wendell to grab a different mic for him. Wendell runs over to the timekeeper's area as Marie approaches Dexter, but he demands that Hollinsworth keep her back until he says what he needs to say. Wendell grabs another mic and hands it to Dexter, but this one also doesn't seem to work as he tries saying something for a moment only for nothing to come across. A few fans begin laughing at him as Dexter throws the mic out of the ring before leaning through the ropes and grabbing a camera, forcibly dragging the cameraman closer. Unbeknownst to him, Steve Hollinsworth is raising the U.S. Title high behind him before handing it off to the timekeeper.

Grant: “You can't silence me forever, Delatosso! I have proof that you've deceived these people, and once the truth is finally exposed-”

Dexter's rant doesn't continue any father as Marie grabs him by the vest and jerks him back through the ropes before pulling him into a back stabber! The fans roar as Dexter rolls away and Hollinsworth signals for the bell to begin this match.

Sharper: “Marie not waiting for Dexter to say whatever he wanted to say, and I guess Hollinsworth has his orders to get this match started right away!”

Knots: “He had nothing to say and you can't prove that whatever garbage he wanted to spew was going to actually mean anything!”

Dexter grabs the ropes and starts pulling himself back to his feet, but Marie quickly boots him in the gut to keep him from recovering. She goes to irish whip him into the ropes, but Dexter reverses it. Marie rebounds and ducks a clothesline attempt before she rebounds off the opposite ropes and catches Dexter with a spinning flying forearm! Dexter tries to pull himself back to his feet, but Marie runs off the adjacent ropes and catches him with a scissors kick! She rolls him over and goes for the cover.

1!

2!

Dexter kicks out!

Sharper: “Marie is all over Dexter here in the early-going, denying him his soapbox and making it clear how determined she is to claim gold in only her third match back!”

Knots: “Marie proving exactly why she’d make for a much better U.S. Champion than Dexter ever would! She came prepared instead of worrying about nonsense!”

Marie grabs Dexter’s leg, looking to turn him over into a single leg crab, but Dexter throws his foot up and boots her in the face! Marie pushes through and tries again, but Dexter kicks her in the face again and this time gets her to let go and stumble away. Dexter slowly pulls himself back to his feet and staggers over towards the ropes as Marie measures him, but as she charges in, Dexter catches her and drops her throat first across the top rope with a hot shot! Marie stumbles back, clutching at her throat, and Dexter forces her down to her knees and drapes her throat over the second rope before kneeling across her back and choking her! The fans boo as Hollinsworth counts for the break, but Dexter locks eyes with Jonathan Knots and points at him.

Grant: “You! Do the job you were programmed to do and tell your puppet master I’m about to Disconnect his whole system, and not even his newest mindless minion here is going to stop me!”

Knots: “Nobody wants to hear your baseless conspiracy theories, Dexter! You could’ve been something great if you’d just played ball!”

Dexter rolls his eyes before he backs off once Hollinsworth hits a count of four, moving around the ring as he finally pulls off his vest and tosses it out to the floor. Marie starts pulling herself away from the ropes, but Dexter runs in and catches her right between the eyes with a knee strike!

Sharper: “Dexter finally getting himself into the fight, but he seems to think Marie might have some affiliation with the New Order.”

Knots: “As usual, he has no idea what he’s babbling about. Marie’s got nothing to do with the New Order, but she could definitely put herself in Mr. Delatosso’s good graces by shutting this wackjob up!”

Dexter stomps away at Marie, specifically targeting her neck and shoulder. Marie rolls towards the center of the ring to try and create space, but Dexter just bounces off the ropes before connecting with a jumping knee drop! He goes for the cover.

1!

2!

Marie kicks out! Dexter looks at Hollinsworth as the referee reiterates his two count before scoffing at him. He steps over Marie and starts trying to apply a camel clutch, but before he can secure her arms over his thighs, she manages to pull them back and slip out from under him. Dexter turns as she rises and tries to catch him with a clothesline, but Dexter ducks it. He turns to grab her from behind, but she suddenly catches him with a pele kick! Dexter staggers back towards the ropes, and Marie pulls herself up before running off the opposite ropes and throwing all of her weight into a jumping shoulder tackle, which is enough to knock Dexter through the ropes and out to the floor!

Sharper: “Marie managing to stick and move to regain control, but she needs to be careful here. As we saw last week with the Television Title, championships do not change hands on a countout.”

Knots: “Hurry and get him back in the ring Marie! Don’t let this snake slither away with a title he doesn’t deserve to hold!”

Dexter stumbles back against the barricade. (1) Wendell runs over to check on him, with Dexter reassuring his follower that he’s fine. (2) Dexter turns his attention back to the ring just in time to see Marie slingshot herself over the top rope into a corkscrew plancha, but Wendell manages to shove Dexter out of the way as he takes the hit! Fans give a mixed reaction to this, leaning more towards boos, as Marie starts to get up and realizes she didn’t catch Dexter. Hollinsworth stops his count and leans through the ropes to admonish Wendell for getting involved as he slowly tries to recover. Marie turns just in time for Dexter to blast her with the Unwanted Notification! Marie falls like a redwood as Dexter takes a moment to check on Wendell to make sure he’s alright before he grabs Marie and throws her back into the ring. He slides in after her and goes for the cover, yelling to Hollinsworth to get his attention as the referee’s focus was still on the downed Wendell.

1!

2!

Marie gets a shoulder up! Dexter slowly rises and gets right in Hollinsworth’s face about his delay in making the count.

Sharper: “Wendell sacrificing himself to save Dexter and he almost capitalized with the Unwanted Notification!”

Knots: “I’m starting to think Mr. Delatosso needs to re-evaluate this kid’s manager’s license because he’s got no reason to be out here!”

Dexter continues to berate Hollinsworth despite him trying to assert his authority as the official for this match. He eventually just huffs and turns his attention back to Marie, grabbing her by the head as she tries to pull herself up, but Marie suddenly catches him with a cutter! The fans come alive as Marie rolls back to her feet, nodding to herself and trying to feed off the crowd’s energy as she runs towards the ropes and springboards off the middle one into the Divine Impact! Marie goes for the cover, hooking the leg.

1!

2!

Dexter gets a shoulder up! This doesn’t deter Marie, though, as she quickly moves towards Dexter’s legs and grabs them, making sure she’s got the right angle before she turns him over into The Angel’s Arch! Dexter cries out in pain as Marie gets enough elevation for a nasty bend on his spine, pulling at his hair to try and keep himself from tapping as he adamantly refuses when Hollinsworth asks if he wants to submit. He starts crawling towards the ropes, Marie trying her best to keep him in the center of the ring but Dexter’s size advantage works in his favor here as he’s able to slowly muscle his way over until he reaches out and grabs the bottom rope!

1!

2!

3!

4!

Marie reluctantly releases The Angel’s Arch.

Knots: “Come on ref! Dexter clearly tapped several times there!”

Sharper: “Dexter managing to survive the Angel’s Arch, but Marie did a lot of damage there. Almost like the damage Dexter could do if whatever evidence he’s found-”

Knots: “Dexter’s got nothing, Sharper! If anything, he should be preparing to kiss the U.S. Title goodbye right about now!”

Dexter slowly pulls himself up with help from the ropes, clutching at his back as he looks to be in quite a bit of agony. He turns to the center of the ring and Marie boots him in the gut to double him over. She grabs him in a side headlock and starts swinging her leg for the Ave Maria, but Dexter manages to shove her off! She turns as Dexter boots her in the gut now before grabbing her in a front facelock. He goes to lift her for the Detox Drop, but Marie manages to twist out of it before pulling Dexter in for a facebreaker knee smash! Dexter stumbles back, falling into the ropes before he bounces off of them and uses the momentum to catch Marie with the Clickbait! Both wrestlers are down on the mat as the fans cheer for the action as we see Wendell finally pulling himself up out on the floor, pounding the apron to try and rally Dexter back to his feet.

Sharper: “Both competitors are down after Dexter hit the Clickbait!”

Knots: “Which is exactly what he’s really got on both Marie and Mr. Delatosso! It’s a whole lot of nothing and as soon as Marie gets back up, Dexter’s going down in flames!”

Dexter looks around as Marie holds her jaw and rolls over. She then starts to stir as we then see Wendell looking around and then looking at his waist. There’s a pager of all things on his waist and he stops and looks at it. He then turns and taps on the ring apron, trying now to get Dexter’s attention.

Wendell: “Dexter! Dexter! We need to go!”

Wendell then holds up the pager as Dexter just looks down, almost annoyed. He then gets up as Marie starts to pull herself up. Dexter nods to Wendell. Wendell then gets into the ring and runs over and starts to club Dexter on the back. The crowd looks stunned as Hollinsworth looks stunned too.

Sharper: “Wendell is attacking Dexter?!”

Knots: “He was trying to get his attention. Maybe he’s realized Delatosso is the way to go!”

Sharper: “And wait…wait…the match…Hollinsworth has no choice here.”

The bell sounds as Hollinsworth calls for the bell. Marie turns, confused. Wendell then stops as Dexter looks up. They then roll out of the ring. Wendell runs around and goes to grab the US Title as the crowd boos. Dexter backs up and motions to Wendell. Dexter then turns and starts to head to the back.

Sharper: “Wendell…he’s getting the US Title. Wendell just interjected himself and made sure that Grant would win with the DQ!”

Knots: “Delatosso won’t be happy with that at all! Marie Jones just got screwed!”

Marie Jones gets up, trying to make sense of what happened as Dexter Grant heads to the back with purpose, joined by Wendell.

Knots: “The coward is just running!”

Sharper: “Wendell said they had to go. He was looking at a pager. Of course they’d use a pager…”

Marie keeps talking to Hollinsworth before we cut backstage to see Dexter Grant walking with Wendell. Wendell still has Grant’s US Championship.

Grant: “I figured they wouldn’t leave it.”

Wendell: “Worked pretty well.”

Grant: “Desperation leads to failure to recognize what you’re up against.”

Grant continues to walk down the hallway, Wendell in tow. They reach one of the back doors and open it and step out. They then look around before then heading over to his RV. The camera spins around, showing the door open as we see Dean Black walking out of it, holding a laptop in his hand.

Grant: “Hey! Get out of there! You have no right!”

Black: “SCW is responsible for the security of everything on the production site’s property. That includes your RV.”

Grant: “Just going to go through my things. Give me that!”

Black pulls the laptop away.

Black: “We’ve had reports-“

Grant then steps and obstructs Black.

Grant: “Hard to believe a former World Champion reduced to being a thief.”

Black: “I’m just doing my job, Mr. Grant. Now leave or I will be forced to restrain you and that could have other consequences.”

Grant just backs up and Black steps off the RV.

Black: “Good choice.”

Grant: “I’m going to make another one. Come on Wendell.”

Wendell steps over and steps into the RV. Grant then steps inside, slamming the door shut. He then steps over and starts the RV. Black backs away from the vehicle. This time, Dexter Grant pulls out much more sensibly, unlike the previous week. Grant drives off as Black watches him leave and then turns back to the building, brandishing Grant’s laptop.

We see a collection of computer generated screens spinning around, showing shots from Rise to Greatness in past years, including a shot of Steve Griffin hitting CHBK with the Decimator off the top rope at the first Rise to Greatness, before cutting to show Cid Turner last year holding the SCW World Championship, and then showing James Exeter going for a shooting star press only to be caught by Shawn Winters.

“This is your Rise to Greatness Rewind.”

We open up in 2021 to see Ace Marshall facing Selena Frost for the SCW World Championship. Ace whips Selena across the ring. Selena bounces off. Ace runs past her. Selena bounces off the other side and Ace bounces off his side and jumps up for the One Eyed Royal. Selena slides down under. Ace lands on his feet and stops at the ropes. He turns and Selena goes for the Glass Shard. Ace sidesteps and rolls Selena up in a school boy.

Sharper: “Both trying to hit big! Ace rolls up the champion!”

Selena kicks out. Ace rolls back. Selena gets up and again, attempts the Glass Shard, but Ace ducks and Selena steps back. Ace then kicks her in the ribs. He hoists her up for a double underhook powerbomb, but Selena flips through and into a sunset flip.

Ace kicks out. Both roll back and Selena gets up at the ropes. Ace gets up and runs at her, but Selena jumps up and pushes off Ace’s chest with her feet. Ace falls back and Selena backflips through to the apron. Ace just smirks, before then suddenly that evaporates as Ace gets up and Selena Frost hits the Defying Gravity! The crowd erupts in cheers. Lexy looks on stunned. Selena dives onto Ace for the pin, pulling on his tights to hook the leg.

Sharper: “Defying Gravity! Selena connects! She connects!”

Knots: “Cover!

The crowd roars. Selena rolls off and to her side. Deanna jumps up and down. We cut to see Regan Street in one of the luxury boxes pumping her fist as Mikaela Street jumps up and down.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, and STILL SCW World Champion…Selena Frost!”

Sharper: “Selena Frost has won her Unbelievable Main Event here at Rise to Greatness XVIII!”

The Rise to Greatness XXIII logo comes up on the screen.

We return with a panning shot of the inside of the Kaseya Arena in Miami, Florida.

Sharper: “Welcome back to Miami for Breakdown. You just saw the start of what has been dominance by Selena Frost in the World Title scene. What started that dominance, before getting us to Rise to Greatness this year where it won’t be Selena, but Deanna Frost who will challenge for the World Title and against someone she knows well, Amelia Nevado, our World Champion.”

Knots: “But is he ready? I know Amelia is. She’s as focused as they come. She has one goal. Walk out World Champion at Rise to Greatness. She has one of the two spots everyone wants. Coming into the show. But after the show, she wants to still hold that title.”

Sharper: “This past week, at two different times, Jessica Winters met with both Amelia Nevado and Deanna Frost and sat down with them in Toronto to speak about the now confirmed Rise to Greatness XXIII main event.”

The Breakdown logo comes up on the screen. We then see a shot of Jessica Winters sitting on a set, looking at the camera. Two chairs are next to her, one on either side of her, a table in the middle.

Winters: “Jessica Winters here. Over the last week, I invited the SCW World Champion, Amelia Nevado, and the 2026 Taking Hold of the Flame winner, Deanna Frost to meet with me in Toronto, at separate times, to ask them about their now confirmed match at Rise to Greatness. Both interviews will be spliced together, but I asked them different questions as they have had different issues hounding them. And more importantly, Amelia Nevado surprised me. I interviewed her first and as a result, she made a statement that allowed me to have Deanna Frost respond. Allow us to start.”

Jessica Winters leans back as we cut to a shot of Jessica Winters sitting with Amelia Nevado. Nevado is dressed sharply, with the SCW World Championship on her lap.

Winters: “Amelia, thank you for joining me.”

Nevado: “My pleasure. It is what should be required as a champion of my stature.”

Winters: “Let’s talk about that. You’re holding the World Title, but this time last year, there was a lot of discussion about what you’ve gone through this last year. A year ago, you were not World Tag Team Champions with your partner, La Pequena Luz. But Luz was in competition for the SCW United States Championship. You were embarking on your own singles career, challenging the returning Chris Cannon.”

Nevado: “And how did that go? Chris Cannon was a legend in Britain. I defeated him. I showed I deserve to be at this top level.”

Winters: “But the following month, you cashed in your Trios Tournament contract. And you fell short. Luz meanwhile became synonymous with the US Title…even winning it over Deanna Frost.”

Nevado: “Apocalypse was a brief blip. It was-“

Winters: “And Syren? Glory?”

Nevado: “The fact that you’re bringing that all up seems to make me think that you want me to suddenly be humble. That this title reign of mine is a fluke? Is that what you’re suggesting.”

Winters: “Not at all. But you were affected by things. Luz’s success. The pressure you put on yourself-“

Nevado: “And at Retribution, with the highest pressure one could have…to compete in my home country, I beat three others to earn my shot. I then had my title shot encroached by two legends. And I not only beat them…but I choked one out. And then, I dealt with the most embarrassing title defense in SCW history and still stood tall. We can look at everyone’s past and find something. Something that suggests weakness. But what matters is today. It took me six months to figure it out. I knew I could be a main event player in this sport. I bet on myself. Luz had nothing to do with it. Or should I bring up Deanna’s mental health last year? Or the year before?”

Winters: “But to not speak about Luz would be not to tell your story. You and Luz don’t seem to be on the same page…at least didn’t until Taking Hold of the Flame. And even then, the Glimmer Sisters thought they could take advantage of that tension. Even seeing Luz, watching you, uncertain.”

Nevado: “Partners have disagreements, Jessica. But as Taking Hold of the Flame proved, Luz and I are fine. In the moment, there is no one else I would trust in the ring.”

Winters: “To that end-“

Nevado: “I’m not going to let you continue to pick at that scab. This is to discuss the World Championship match at Rise to Greatness. You want a statement – I am so confident there is nothing to worry about that I know Selena Frost has that World Tag Team Championship rematch. I heard about Deanna’s plan there – if Luz and I failed, they’d step in against the Glimmers. I don’t even know if Selena was at the arena. But how about on the July 23 Breakdown – we see how much has changed and who really needs to worry about those relationships. House of Frost against Light in the Darkness. World Tag Team Championship on the line. And when we beat them, Deanna can look in the mirror and realize, she’s only a few weeks away from being the latest Frost main event loss at Rise to Greatness.”

Nevado looks at Winters.

Nevado: “I know you’re meeting with her. Share that with her. Because ultimately, I don’t know what to think about Deanna. Last week, she said she refused to think I was that cold. No, I’m not cold. I’m just focused! And right now, I see an opponent that didn’t want to face me. I saw a coward!”

Amelia pauses for a moment. Winters is taken a bit aback.

Nevado: “She may be Adrenaline Champion. She was US Champion. Everyone thought she’d be able to make it to the top. I was even among them. But what I see across from me…that’s not a World Champion. That’s a lamb coming to a slaughter. I am World Champion to face the greatest competitors in professional wrestling. I meant what I said – I didn’t care who was in front of me…Gavin, Selena, Deanna…I am looking to have my coronation at the top. That vindication that everything has been deserved. That I am not merely potential.”

Winters: “Amelia…if I may…is this how you saw it? Aligning with Delatosso? Competing in matches where technicalities are used to determine winners? At no fault of who is in the ring-“

Nevado: “I am the World Champion. I control what I am capable of doing. I will hold this title with pride. Don’t worry about whatever frustration I showed two weeks ago. Polly has been through enough.”

Winters: “So you support their actions? Against CHBK? Against someone who has even guided you?!”

Nevado leans forward.

Nevado: “That’s…that’s irrelevant. I am the World Champion. I will compete to my highest level. Right now, I can guarantee that. But my opponent…Deanna, I never thought I’d say it, but I don’t know if she’ll be able to rise to the occasion. I hope she find that heart…the grit she’s known for. For her sake. Not that it will make a difference.”

Nevado then stands up.

Nevado: “I’ve said my piece. Wish my best to Deanna.”

Nevado pauses briefly, before turning and walking off the set. Winters looks a bit stunned. We then reopen to show Jessica Winters alone on the set.

Winters: “My interview with Amelia Nevado went in a direction I never expected. She was not willing to discuss the background to this match. She was focused on one thing, her title defense, and in that, she made a challenge. I, of course, asked Deanna about that, and much more.”

Winters pauses as the scene changes to show Deanna Frost arriving on the set and Jessica Winters looks at her. She then smiles and stands up as the two hug.

Deanna: “It’s good to see you.”

Winters: “As always you.”

Deanna: “Been some tough years, but here we are.”

Winters: “That we are. Ready to answer some questions.”

Deanna nods and sits down as Winters sits down.

Winters: “Deanna, thank you for joining me. You’ve finally have made the decision…or the decision was made, that you will enjoy the fruits of your victory at Taking Hold of the Flame.”

Deanna: “I’m…I’m going to challenge for the World Championship…at Rise to Greatness XXIII.”

Winters: “But it took some time and you really wanted Selena to take that opportunity. Fans showcased their displeasure. They’ve not been fans of Selena for years. And you even knew what Selena did to you. But you said that there were still reasons and only when Selena made clear she refused to accept it did you accept this fate. Can you finally help us understand why you stand by that woman?”

Deanna: “Well, starting light…”

Deanna sighs.

Deanna: “She’s still the mother of my children. We also have been through so much. We may now be exes and co-parenting and trying to figure everything out…I can’t share what really was motivating me. I know so many people won’t understand it. I’ve even had some fans stop me and ask if there’s something else going on. If Selena is abusive…”

Deanna pauses.

Deanna: “All I can say is that the pressure Selena has put on herself is more than so many can know. And she’s the World Champion. She’s the….standardbearer…been hearing that said so much lately. Just there was more that if Rise to Greatness didn’t have her there…I don’t know what she would do. I’ll leave it there. And I’ll admit, I don’t know what she’s going to do right now. But…I’m standing here as the number one contender. I’m standing here as the challenger at Taking Hold of the Flame. I’m standing here in one of the two positions people dream of in this sport.”

Winters: “And how does that make you feel?”

Deanna shakes her head.

Deanna: “I don’t know if it’s sunk in. I don’t know if it will until I walk out there.”

Winters: “What about that you’re facing someone you’ve known for so long. That you’ve been more than just co-workers. You’ve competed together. You’re friends.”

Deanna: “Hopefully electricity. Hopefully we give each other the challenge we both deserve. And hopefully we put on a classic forever. But more importantly, I hope the best woman wins.”

Winters: “Deanna…I am going to share some comments from Amelia earlier this week. Do you mind?”

Deanna: “Not looking to stir the pot, are we?”

Winters: “More…figured I’d give you an opportunity to respond.”

Deanna: “Okay.”

Winters: “When asked, she referred to your delay in agreeing to face her as you being a coward. And she added, and I quote, ‘Deanna, I never thought I’d say it, but I don’t know if she’ll be able to rise to the occasion. I hope she find that heart…the grit she’s known for. For her sake.’”

Deanna scoffs a bit.

Deanna: “I…I don’t know what to say.”

Winters: “No response?”

Deanna: “Bluster? I don’t know how much I recognize the Amelia I’ve seen as of late. Accepting wins by dubious circumstances. I even saw her take a cheap shot at one point. She’s sold part of her soul. I hope it’s worth it. Maybe that’s the difference…I can’t sell my soul. And my soul still belongs to Selena. But…that’s not cowardice. That’s…she should know where it comes from. There was a time she’d do anything for Luz.”

Winters: “She also hinted at something there. She’s challenged you and Selena to World Tag Team Title match on July 23. She was very clear she felt that it would be a clear message. Her and Luz are still a team. They declared themselves the best team in SCW after being the Glimmres. She heard of your deal with Delatosso to cash in the title shot.”

Deanna: “That was an attempt to get Selena’s attention.”

Winters: “And this is clearly an attempt to get your attention. But I should ask…you and Selena, even with everything, can you still be the House of Frost? Luz and Amelia had their issues, but when the spotlights were on them, they rose to the occasion.”

Deanna: “And I won Taking Hold of the Flame when the spotlight was on me, the brightest, and I did that not necessarily for me…but for her. I won’t speak for Selena. But Amelia may have just made a big mistake. Because the way I see it…she’s put on a mask to get through the less than savory aspects of her selling her soul to be World Champion. July 23, I can try and rip it off. And maybe that’s best for everyone. Selena and I will be there.”

The Breakdown logo comes up on the screen.

We then see La Pequena Luz watching the monitor and shaking her head.

Luz: “Mi amor. Puedo verte luchando por salir. Necesitamos esa pareja. Necesito ayudarte.”

We then see Glory Braddock walking over to the monitor and standing next to Luz.

Braddock: “I always love when people rewrite history.”

Luz: “She’s justifying it all to herself. She’s trying to-“

Braddock: “I thought she was stronger.”

Luz: “And she thought you actually were a mentor. She finally saw through you. And now, you know how important our match is at Rise to Greatness. For both of us…and you fall short against Asher Hayes?!”

Braddock: “Let me worry about getting that loss back. Asher finally got it done. Good on him. Amelia never did one on one. And you…you want to pretend this is a straight line. You know it’s not. Taking Hold of the Flame showed that. Wrestling isn’t fair. And I learned that again last week. You’re going to learn it at Rise to Greatness.”

Luz: “Not if I can help it.”

Braddock: “You have to also ask…Deanna looked like she finally turned the corner. Good on her. What happens if Deanna wins? For her…and you? Consider THAT some friendly advice…and I mean that.”

Braddock turns and walks off as Luz glances over, a look of concern on her face, clearly showing what Braddock means, as the scene cuts away.

Kirsten Scott vs. Brittany Williams

Hot and dangerous
If you're one of us, then roll with us
'Cause we make the hipsters fall in love
When we've got our hot pants on and up

And yes, of course we does
We running this town just like a club
And no, you don't wanna mess with us
Got Jesus on my necklace-ace-ace

Got that glitter on my eyes
Stockings ripped all up the side
Looking sick and sexified
So let's go-o-o (Let's go)

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with a ten minute time limit. First, on her way to the ring, from Hollywood Hills, she is “Princess,” Brittany Williams!”

We R Who We R by Ke$ha begins to blast across all the speakers. Princess Brittany Williams emerges from behind the curtain wearing a Tiara on her head and a scepter in her hand. She smiles as the crowd welcomes her with cheers. Paparazzi snap photos of the little heiress as she walks to the ring doing a royalty wave. Brittany slides into the ring as she slowly takes her Tiara off and raises her scepter high into the air. She throws them to the side waiting for her opponent to come out next.

Sharper: “Brittany Williams about to be in action tonight. Still looking to get some momentum.”

Knots: “But look…she’s getting opportunity. She’s got skill. Just needs to put it all together. Maybe needs to reach out to our CEO. See what can be done to help her out.”

The arena lights abruptly plunge into a stark, cold darkness, and the crowd begins to buzz as the melancholic, clean guitar intro of "Tears Don't Fall" by Bullet For My Valentine echoes through the sound system. On the jumbo tron, a minimalist, aggressive new graphic replaces her old imagery: a pitch-black background violently cracks open with a spraypainted wall and the letters KS1 illuminating the arena.

As the whispered vocals drift over the speakers, a dim red spotlight cuts through the heavy fog rolling across the entry stage. A suffocating layer of tension builds as the drum roll hits its peak, and the music suddenly drops into a split second of absolute, dead silence.

“LET’S GO!”

Exactly on the word "GO!", a blinding wall of white-hot stage pyro and deafening concussion mortars blast upward from the stage floor while the arena lights erupt into a frantic, strobe-heavy crimson and white. As the smoke clears, Kirsten Scott and Hailey Brooks are revealed standing side-by-side at the top of the ramp, their wrists heavily wrapped in thick, black tactical tape.

Phillips: “Her opponent, from the Midwest, she is The One, Kirsten Scott!”

Hailey looks intense and protective as the ultimate shield, while Kirsten embodies the apex-predator threat assessment of "The One," her head tilted at a cold, analytical angle and her eyes locked onto the ring. Without waiting or playing to the crowd, they march down the ramp together with a fast, mechanical purpose to the driving heavy metal rhythm.

Hailey stays half a step behind Kirsten's flank, scanning the ringside area as they bypass the perimeter completely. Kirsten grabs the apron and aggressively pulls herself through the middle ropes, while Hailey slides under the bottom rope to instantly claim their corner.

Stepping to the center of the ring, Kirsten turns to the hard camera, slowly raising her right hand with her fist clenched tight before violently snapping it down into a low, coiled, feral fighting stance just as the song hits its driving chorus. Hailey steps onto the bottom rope, leaning over the turnbuckle to glare down the ramp, while Kirsten breaks her stance to pace the canvas like a caged animal, breathing in shallow, controlled bursts as she awaits the opening bell.

Sharper: “Brittany Williams will be in tough. The returning, Kirsten Scott. Back at Taking Hold of the Flame and looking strong heading into Rise to Greatness.”

Knots: “This is going to be a problem for Williams.”

The bell sounds and Williams runs across and nails Scott with a hard right and then another and another. Scott falls back into the corner and Williams kicks away at her over and over as the official comes in, calling for the break.

Williams steps away and walks around the ring. Scott grabs at the ropes, starting to pull herself up and Williams pulls her out and to the ropes. She pushes her against them and goes to whip her across, but Scott spins through and sends her in. Williams bounces off and Scott hits a back elbow. Williams hits the mat. Williams gets back up and Scott nails her with a hard right and then a knee to the ribs. She the spins her around into the corner. Scott then smiles before hitting a back elbow and then another and another.

Sharper: “Repeated back elbows to the jaw of Williams.”

Knots: “Williams had a good idea of jumping Scott, but Scott just fought through it!”

Scott steps out as Williams falls to a knee. She then gets up and Scott grabs her and snapmares her over before then pushing her down and driving her knee into her forehead. She then goes for the pin.

Williams kicks out. Both women get up and Williams moves to the ropes. Scott chops her. The crowd woos. She chops her again. More woos. She then fires her across. Williams bounces off and Scott scoops her up, but Williams spins through and lands on her feet. She then jumps up and hits an enziguri kick. Scott falls to a knee. Williams then runs into the ropes, and jumps to the middle rope and hits a back elbow, knocking Scott down.

Sharper: “Williams off the ropes. There’s that agility. Just using the ropes, getting some extra impact from it.”

Knots: “And those shots can all connect and do damage. One good shot and you can turn your match around. You match catch them and daze them. Get the three.”

Scott gets up and Williams then grabs her and snapmares her down before running to the ropes, jumping off the middle rope again and diving back with a leg lariat. She turns for the pin.

1!

2!

Scott kicks out. Williams then turns and nails Scott in the head with a shot and then another before running into the ropes. This time, though, she jumps up for a flying headscissors, but Scott counters with a kneeling facebuster. The crowd ohs as Williams pops up to her knees and Scott then runs back into the ropes and hits the Hidden Blade. The crowd ohs. Scott rolls her over and hooks the legs.

1!

2!

Williams just kicks out in time.

Sharper: “And a nearfall! Scott got all of that Hidden Blade, but Williams managing to kick out.”

Knots: “She’s got to bounce back quick. Quick after that.”

Williams rolls over and Scott then grabs her by the head. She drags her up and runs her into the nearby corner, driving her face first into the top turnbuckle. Williams turns and Scott then hits a kick to the ribs and then a straight kick to the stomach and then one to the jaw. Williams stumbles forward and Scott then hits a vertical suplex. She holds on and swivels her hips she gets back up and then hoists her up and hits a second vertical suplex before swivelling her hips again, but as she hoists her up, Williams manages to pull her down into an inside cradle!

1!

2!

Scott kicks out. Both get up and Williams gets up as Scott does and then hits a Boom Headshot! Scott falls through to the ropes to the floor. Williams then looks on as she grabs the top rope, slingshots over the top rope and to the middle rope on the other side and into a springboard moonsault! The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “And Williams! My goodness! Right in front of us! The moonsault!”

Knots: “Got to get her in the ring. Get her in that ring and fast!”

Williams winces as she looks around. (1) She then turns and grabs Scott, pulling her up before turning and rolling her into the ring. (2) She winces and climbs up to the apron and then to the top rope. Scott starts to get up and Williams dives off, going to land on Scott’s shoulders for a hurricanrana, but Scott counters with a snap powerbomb. The crowd ohs. Scott staggers around the ring. Williams winces and slowly rolls over. She then reaches out for the ropes and uses them to get up. Scott just measures her up and Williams turns around and into Scott who hits the System Failure. The crowd ohs as Williams drops.

Sharper: “System Failure!”

Knots: “Thanks for coming out, Brittany!”

Scott hooks the legs.

1!

2!

3!

The bell sounds as the crowd roars. Kirsten Scott’s music plays. Scott rolls off and gets up to her feet.

Phillips: “And here is your winner, via pinfall, Kirsten Scott!”

Sharper: “Kirsten Scott with another win. Another victory here on Breakdown.”

Knots: “And if she hits that…that’s a shot that can take anyone down!”

Scott holds her arm up and looks around before smirking as the scene cuts  away.

Backstage, we see Frank Delatosso talking to Kemal Yilmaz. Ginny Raab and Chris Lawler are in the room.

Delatosso: “It was a solid effort…but now…Kemal, you’re getting that chance. They want to have their blood and guts. Then Kemal…you can show them how foolish they are.”

Yilmaz: “Tell me what to do. Just want the EFN to rough them up at Rise to Greatness.”

Delatosso: “I want you in that match and when you win….you bring me the Underground Championship. Do that and I will make you and the EFN very happy.”

Yilmaz nods.

Yilmaz: “Of course…Yilmaz turns and looks at Ginny Raab who is with him.

Yilmaz: “Told you this was all going to be worth it. Started with Gavin…”

Ginny: “Never doubted. Konrad would be proud.”

Yilmaz: “Come on.”

As they leave, we see Marie Jones looking at them and then stopping a moment before stepping into the office. She looks a bit uneasy.

Marie: “You asked me to come here.”

Delatosso: “Oh Marie…thanks…don’t worry about that. If Kim wants to play her games-“

Marie: “You do realize we have no desire to get involved in these politics. We just focus on wrestling. As I said-“

Delatosso: “What Kim does isn’t wrestling, but that’s not what I’m here to discuss with you, Marie. Tonight, Marie, you were the subject of an injustice. Dexter Grant pulled a fast one…hardly championship material. Frankly, as far as I’m concerned, you’re the true US Champion.”

Marie: “Well, thank you, but I’d much rather the real thing.”

Delatosso: “Oh of course and we will be booking a rematch as soon as I can. I’m thinking Rise to Greatness.”

Marie: “Really?”

Delatosso: “You’ve had a rough break, but you’ve done as advertised against Allocco and against Grant. I need to take care of a few things, but Marie, and I mean this…you’re what I imagined from the Jones family. Wrestling pedigree and you show it in the ring. Kim could learn plenty from you. Now….if you excuse me.”

Delatosso turns as Chris Lawler. Lawler steps up and ushers Marie out of the room before she can even respond. She steps out of the room, the door closing behind her. She looks back, trying to make sense of the meeting before stopping as we see Gia and Gina Glimmer step up.

Gia (we think): “Well look…someone is happy to kiss ass.”

Marie: “If you heard, that was nothing of the sort.”

Gina (we think): “Yeah, that’s why you have the annoying tweets. Dexter must love you. Especially if he loved us.”

Marie: “I don’t know what to tell you-“

Gia (we think): “Too bad your fall back plan is no longer as interesting. Given we do it better.”

Gina (we think): “You know…maybe we know where to stick our…”

Gina steps up, practically pressing her chest against Marie.

Gia (we think): “All about the wrestling too.”

Gia steps up as Marie pushes back. She locks eyes with both before then stepping and walking off. Gia and Gina turn to one another.

Gina (we think): “I think we know how we’re going to have our fun.”

Gia smirks as the scene fades out.

The lights dim slightly as monks' chanting begins to echo out through the arena. As this does so, a lone yet dim spotlight begins to focus in on the entrance:

Dies iræ, dies illa
Solvet sæclum in favilla:
Teste David cum Sibylla.
Quantus tremor est futurus,
Quando iudex est venturus,
Cuncta stricte discussurus!
Tuba, mirum spargens sonum
Per sepulchra regionum,
Coget omnes ante thronum.

The sound feeds kick suddenly into "Lux Aeterna" by Skyder, DRONSOND. The spotlight becomes super intense as a single man stands in its ray. His features were almost muted by the blinding light.  His defined muscles are visible, but that's about it. As he kicks his foot around at a loud beat of the song, he steps forward to face the crowd. Alistaire Allocco stands there, his eyes burning with judgment and fury. As he rolls his shoulder and poses there, a series of bright pyros fires off above him before the lights return to normal. Alistaire starts down the ramp, ignoring the fans' jeers and insults. He reaches the ring and steps up the steel steps and into the ring.

Sharper: “Alistaire Allocco and Shaun Cruze, last week, they agreed to face at Rise to Greatness and that match is official. Cruze and Allocco one on one.”

Knots: “We better enjoy this. What? Only a few weeks left and then we won’t have to worry about Cruze holding people or thinking he’s something special.”

Sharper: “Stop it! Delatosso is the one that put him on the pedestal. He wanted no special favours. He just wanted to come back and see if he could still go with the newer talent. And he’s more than held his own.”

Knots:” You know who else has – Alistaire Allocco. Against Marie Jones….an amazing match, ruined by Shaun Cruze’s ego a couple of weeks ago!”

Allocco walks across the ring and grabs a microphone waiting for him. He then takes it and walks back over to the middle of the ring. He then pauses as his music fades out. The crowd boos as Allocco looks around.

Allocco: “I want to take a moment to apologize.”

The crowd buzzes as Allocco looks around.

Sharper: “For what?”

Allocco: “Shaun Cruze’s time as a true player in this sport is dwindling fast. After I beat him at Rise to Greatness, I hope he understands that while he’s had some moments, SCW will have passed him by. We don’t need the nostalgia act. So why am I apologizing? Well, on behalf of SCW. You could’ve seen a Shaun Cruze that still felt he had hope, he had something to give tonight…you could tell your children and grandchildren about that moment…and I will taking that away from you come Rise to Greatness.”

The crowd boos.

Allocco: “As I’ve said, Shaun will be dealing with the consequences of his actions and I will be the man to dole them out.”

Allocco pauses.

Allocco: “But I had hoped to make some amends and to think on what will be happening while I was here in Miami.”

The crowd cheers a bit.

Allocco: “A good friend of mine…or I thought he was…lives here. And he’s the one Cruze who I could have respect for as he fought and earned everything, and even made amends when he fell to sin.”

Allocco looks at the main camera.

Allocco: “I had hoped to reach you Owen. See you while you were here. Let you know that I don’t relish what I will need to do to your Uncle. But the fact is that this is what will need to be done. I will be establishing a new level of greatness and it’s one that the Cruze family will have to accept my role in ending the Cruze dynasty. I know you’re retired Owen. A shame given your age. You….you would have made smart decisions. Or I thought that…I had hoped I could look you in the eye and give you my own apology.”

Allocco shakes his head.

Allocco: “But I tried to call you. Multiple times. I even came by the house. Nothing. A true shame. I thought we were closer than that. I thought, given our common paths, our phenom-like skills and starts…we may be able to meet. I thought you were a friend. But now not even able to accept my calls. I can only think your uncle’s ego has tainted you. A shame as I understand there are other Cruzes knocking on SCW’s door.”

Allocco just looks at the camera.

Allocco: “I will make sure that door is shut!”

Allocco shakes his head, looking down, disappointed.

Allocco: “Opportunities don’t grow on trees. And while Owen, you were a unicorn, those same hopes didn’t seem to pass down to Bekah as I evaluated her at Taking Hold of the Flame…and Shaun won’t be in a position to help as I will destroy him where it hurts…his ego. We may see the end of the Cruze family in SCW at Rise to Greatness. They can think about their sins…their ego…their pride!”

Shaun Cruze then appears from the back and starts to run down to the ring.

Sharper: “Allocco bringing up Bekah Cruze, who appeared at Taking Hold of the Flame. Orlando’s daughter, Owen’s sister. And he’s heard enough!”

Knots: “Why? Alistaire is just speaking truth. The Cruze family clearly all think they’re special. They’re better than everyone.”

Sharper: “Well Cruze has heard enough!”

Cruze runs down the rampway and slides into the ring. Allocco quickly exits the ring and drops down to the floor. Cruze runs over to the ropes and looks down at him, yelling at him to focus on him. Allocco walks around the ring. Cruze keeps following him around as Allocco moves around the ring to the rampway. He then continues to head to the back as Cruze yells at Allocco.

Cruze: “Focus on me. You have a problem with me. You come after me!”

Cruze looks at him as Allocco continues to head to the back.

Cruze: “You’re going to be apologizing for a lot more, Alistaire!”

Cruze fumes in the ring as Allocco smirks as he heads to the back.

“Psycho in my Head” by Skillet plays as the Breakdown logo comes up on the screen. We then see a still of Syren vs. Gavin Taylor.

Sharper: “Well, we’re not done yet here tonight. Next, our main event, Syren to face Gavin Taylor! Next!”

The scene fades out.

COMMERCIALS

Syren vs. Gavin Taylor

The lights around the arena begin to flicker in red, white, and blue as "Fortunate Son" by CCR starts to play over the arena. "All Star" Gavin Taylor steps out from behind the curtain onto the top of the ramp, flanked by his All-Star Security of Jack and Karl Barker. As he stands in place, posing with his arms outstretched, the chorus of the song plays.

Some folks are born made to wave the flag
Hoo, they're red, white and blue
And when the band plays "Hail to the chief"
Ooh, they point the cannon at you, Lord

It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no senator's son, son
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no furtunate one, no

Gavin begins to walk down the ramp with swagger, shaking hands of the men, kissing the hands of the women, and even patting a few kids on the head. He smirks as he gets to the ring, pulling himself to the apron. He hangs out off the ring while holding onto the top rope.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with TV time remaining and is your main event of the evening. First, from Independence, Missouri, accompanied by his All-Star Secret Service, he is the All-Star, Gavin Taylor!”

Some folks are born silver spoon in hand
Lord, don't they help themselves, Lord?
But when the taxman come to the door
Lord, the house lookin' like a rummage sale, yeah

Gavin pulls himself through the ropes and steps onto the second ropes on the opposite side of the ring from the ramp. He opens his jersey, sliding it off his shoulders as he stretches his arms out.

It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no millionaire's son, no, no
It ain't me, it ain't me
I ain't no fortunate one, no

Turning around, he bounces back off the ropes and turns to the stage, awaiting the arrival of Syren.

Sharper: “Well Gavin Taylor already tried to get one more over Syren earlier tonight. That didn’t happen. Syren caught him and superkicked him.”

Knots: “That’s just going to make him angry. You don’t make Gavin angry. Make SCW Gavin Angry or something!”

The lights in the arena plunge into darkness. A pulsing sound akin to a heartbeat plays out across the PA system as the fans cheer.

LEXY CHAPEL PRESENTS

The heartbeat gets faster before “Groupie” by Cassie Steele hits the PA system. After a few moments Syren comes through the curtain. Syren pauses on the stage, looking out at the fans cheering.

Sinfully Seductive
Captivatingly Corrupt
DARK FANTASY

Syren walks down the ramp. She jumps up onto the apron before climbing the turnbuckles on the outside and waving her hands to get the fans fired up. As the camera gets closer to her, she shouts at the camera before pointing out at the fans.

Phillips: “His opponent, representing LexyCorp International, hailing from Los Angeles, California, this is SYREN!”

Syren smiles before leaping over the top rope, dropping to her knees in the ring, posing with both her arms outstretched. Syren takes off her ring jacket and hands that off. She climbs up on the middle rope, posing for a moment and then jumping back down as her music fades out. She turns around and Gavin goes for the Gavin Taylor Lariat, trying again to attack her from behind. Syren ducks and Gavin runs into the corner. He turns around and Syren nails him with a hard right and then another as the bell sounds.

Sharper: “Gavin tried to jump Syren again! And Syren saw it coming!”

Knots: “He didn’t! He was excited to get this victory over Syren! She’s the sneaky one! Sneaky Syren!”

Syren nails Gavin over and over again in the corner.

Syren then grabs Gavin and whips him across the ring. Syren runs after and Gavin gets a boot up, but Syren catches it. Gavin looks at her stunned before Syren throws the leg down and nails him with a hard right and then another before a hard chop. Gavin walks out of the corner and holds his chest. He then turns around and reaches up for the eyes, but Syren grabs his wrists. Gavin looks stunned before Syren kicks him in the ribs and then Gavin falls back into the ropes. Syren nails him with a hard right and then another before backing up and hitting a dropkick. Gavin falls through the ropes to the apron. He then starts to pull himself up and Syren runs to the corner, jumping to the middle rope and dives back with a flying clothesline. Gavin falls to the apron and then to the floor.

Sharper: “Gavin Taylor in trouble early. Syren looking to show that she should’ve won over and over!”

Knots: “This wasn’t fair. Gavin wasn’t ready!”

Sharper: “He’s the one who tried to jump Syren! Come on Knots!”

Knots: “What? I want Gavin’s thoughts on this!”

Sharper: “Why?”

Knots: “He deserves to be heard!”

Gavin rolls over on the floor. (1) He then starts to get up and just then, we see Syren launch herself over the top rope with a vaulting press onto Gavin. The crowd erupts. (1) Gavin is laid out as Syren then gets up. (2) She then turns as Karl Barker runs at her, but Syren ducks. The crowd erupts as Karl turns and Syren hits him with a superkick. The crowd erupts. (3)

Knots: “Assault! Assault!”

Sharper: “Karl Barker attempting to help Gavin! Syren ducks! Superkick!”

Syren turns and grabs Gavin and pulls him up. (4) She then rolls him into the ring as Jack Barker heads over to Karl. Syren then slides in after Gavin and Gavin starts to get up and Syren clotheslines him down. Gavin rolls over. He starts to get up and Jack looks up as Syren turns and runs into the ropes, but Jack turns and grabs the foot. Syren trips a bit. She turns around, but then Taylor gets up and runs over and hits a school boy.

Syren kicks out. Both get up and Gavin drills Syren with a lunging clothesline, knocking her down. The crowd ohs and boos as Gavin gets up. He then smirks before stomping Syren in the face and then the body. Syren moves to the corner and Gavin starts to choke her with his boot.

Gavin steps off as Syren turns and Jack then runs over and starts to choke her from the floor. Gavin keeps Demitra’s attention as Syren struggles.

Knots: “Well sometimes we get overzealous!”
