Ricky James sits on his couch, his right arm on the armrest, head tilted to the side resting in the palm of his right hand as he watches TV, visibly bored. He flips through the channels, quickly skipping through the liberal news stations, before stopping on Fox News. An episode of “The Five” is on. Ricky watches for a few moments as Dana Perino, Greg Gutfield, and Jesse Watters discuss the ongoing socialist movements within the Democratic Party. Juan Williams jumps in, which absolutely disgusts Ricky. 


Ricky: Why do they even bother having this guy on the show? They have a perfectly good, unbiased program, and they have to ruin it by throwing this illegal immigrant Democrat up there because it’s “PC”.

Ricky watches a few more seconds as Juan Williams calls the others crazy for claiming the Democrats are socialists. As Juan continues, Ricky loses his patience and changes the channel. 

Ricky: I can’t deal with this idiot anymore.

Ricky continues to browse, making his way through the sports channels. He stops again on a channel showing Lucha Libre Wrestling. Ricky suddenly becomes enraged, turning the TV off and throwing the remote against the wall, breaking it into pieces. He breathes heavily for a few seconds before calming down and standing up. 

Ricky heads to his bedroom. The bed inside is a king size, the pillow cases blue with white stars, the bed sheets horizontal red and white stripes. There is a desk with a computer in the corner of the room. Ricky sits down at the desk, opens up the internet browser on his computer, and clicks on his top bookmark: infowars.com . Ricky smiles, seemingly more at ease now. 

As Ricky browses through the site, he notices the top drawer of the dresser beside the desk is cracked open slightly. Ricky stares at the open drawer, slowly becoming enraged again. He then fully opens the drawer and starts grabbing all the clothes, tossing them over his shoulder onto the bed until the drawer is almost completely empty. One item remains in the drawer, which Ricky focuses on. Ricky begins to shake, again breathing very heavily. He violently kicks the drawer shut. 

Ricky: That is not you anymore, Ric. That is not you anymore. 

Well, you survived. You're reading this because you've survived Rise to Greatness season. Now, this is where I torture myself....

In all seriousness, I hope you enjoyed the last two months. I tried to provide some good stories for everyone and I know many of you tried to do the same.

Now, you all get some time away (myself included). The next show is tentatively scheduled for August 19. In that time, I will be slowly working on the pre-show, the Hall of Fame and Rise to Greatness itself, spacing it out so that people can take some time away without worrying about results, what's next, etc. Take time away from the game and relax.

I'll be posting updates over the next few weeks. I hope everyone is well and recharges and we'll be back to the schedule soon.

“Real American” by Rick Derringer starts to play throughout the arena as Rudy Powell walks out from behind the curtain. The crowd boos loudly  as Ricky James emerges behind Rudy. Rudy cackles as the crowd continues to boo. Rudy waddles down the ramp as Ricky marches down behind him. Rudy struggles to slowly climb the steps and then stumbles into the ring through the bottom and middle rope. Ricky, showing off his athleticism, leaps onto the ring apron and flips over the top rope into the ring. Ricky and Rudy then stand together in the center of the ring and recite the Pledge of Allegiance.

Strengths:

Entrance: The opening notes to the Polish national anthem starts to play as Imanov comes out from the back in a red camo jumpsuit. He snaps a salute at the top of the ramp before beginning a leisurely walk to the ring as "Jekyll And Hyde" plays while he shakes out his body in a show of intimidation and confidence. Once at the ring he walks up the steps and fixes his opponent with a predatory stare before climbing through the middle ropes. As soon as he gets in the ring he makes an Atlas style pose while a set of red and white pyros cross the ring. Before the smoke fades Imanov moves to his corner cracking his neck while waiting for the bell to ring. As he waits he strips off his uniform to reveal his red and white spandex wrestling pants.

Biography: An accomplished high school wrestler who has been hot on the Russian Indy scene as part of the Red Star Wrestling company. Imanov is now looking to make it big in the US as he works to live up to his father's legacy. Recently underwent a major stint in a rehab center and had met an American war hero who reminded him that he should embrace his past. So now he has come back to the IWF to get his life back on track and show that even a troubled man can be a hero. His stint in IWF last only a few months after which he returns home. After a few months he joins the Snow Maple Grappling company out of Canada where he works for a nearly a year and half working through the ranks. He leaves the company to return home in where he rejoins the Red Star Wrestling Roster where he worked until receiving an offer he couldn't refuse to join the EHWF. After a six month stint in the EHWF Imanov returned home to work as trainer at Red Star Wrestling.
