Mentality:
The Dependables are the very definition of action movie hero's come to life! Four actors turned wrestlers along with their protege on her path to becoming a movie heroine, the Dependables will do anything to ensure that good triumphs over evil. They follow the rules (though Jacques CAN be more than a little chaotic in the ring when he has one of his moments) and will do what needs to be done to 'save the day'. They will take issue to people who break the rules, do immoral things and generally hate anything that is corrupt or wrong. They're the DEPANDABLES; you can depend on them, dammit!

Quote:

The arena's lights cut completely as a military style drum beat begins to boom from the speaker system. Rock guitars begin to cut into the mix, allowed to ring out for a few seconds before cutting. As the drums and guitar repeat, a deep raspy voice begins to speak.

"In 2013, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground..."

The crowd begin to buzz in anticipation as the military drumbeat and guitar hook continue to play as the voice continues.

"Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem... if no one else can help... and if you can find them..."

The drums and guitar begin to reach a fever pitch.

"Maybe you can hire... The Dependables!"

As the voice finishes speaking, the guitars and drums kick in fully as a heavy metal version of the theme from the "A-Team" hits the speaker system. White spotlights and strobe lights begin to flicker on the stage as The Dependables logo flashes up on the screens. The crowd begin to pop wildly waiting for the members of the group to appear, but nothing happens for a couple of seconds until all of a sudden, five ropes drop from the rafters above the stage, landing in five small coils at the top of the ramp. The ropes begin to shake slightly and pretty soon the audience see why! From the top of the five ropes, the five members of The Dependables begin to rappel down the ropes, all decked out in the same camouflage jackets and black combat trousers, automatic weapons hanging from their backs.

Arnold Braunschweiger, Chuck Taurus, Madison Chase and Jacques Cristophe Von-Doome all slide down the rope with ease, but the laughter from the crowd is clear to hear over the music as on the last rope to the right, Sly Malone has somehow ended upside down! The others land on their feet and quickly unbuckle themselves but Sly ends up hanging on the end of his rope and Jacques has to quickly step over to assist him. Once Sly is untangled, the five members step forward and stand at the top of the ramp. Arnold removes a cigar from his pocket and places it between his teeth as Jacques begins to scan the crowd with his eyes looking for hidden threats. On the far side, Sly Malone looks over at a female member of the crowd and begins to show off his guns, while Chuck Taurus looks on at the crowd, cool as ice and confident as hell. Meanwhile, in the middle, Madison can barely contain her excitement at the fact that she's surrounded by her heroes and that she's allowed to be a part of this! As if on cue, the five members all grab their weapons from behind their backs and turn, firing up above the stage. A split second later, the bodies of several bad guys drop from above the stage. The guns are probably full of blanks, the bodies probably dummies... or are they?! The audience go bat shit crazy at the show of heroism as the five members turn back around, dropping their weapons as they raise their hands to their brows and salute the fans before starting to walk down to the ring.

Phillips: "Ladies and gentlemen... making their way to the ring, from the Los Angeles Underground; we had a problem and nobody else could help, so we found them AND we hired them... they are... THE DEPENDABLES!!!"

The five members of the group reach the ring apron and begin to climb into the ring. Jacques lifts the middle rope for Madison to step through before stepping through himself. The five members line up in the ring and once again throw up a salute and as they do, sparks begin to fall from the rafters above the ring as the fans go absolutely insane.

Here we are again. This is the official sign-up for the Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal. It is first come first served. Even if the spots fill out, please keep noting interest. Some people may pull a character and I reserve the right to remove characters to allow more handlers to participate. Please note that even if you don't sign up, it will not guarantee a match at THotF as I still book based on angles, rather than who wants to or doesn't want to be in the battle royal. I recommend everyone sign-up whether they want to be in it or not. As many will say, its usually one of the most fun matches of the year.
